I have been dancing primarily hip hop for most of my life and decided recently to become a solid technical dancer, so I started taking tap and jazz from Miss Definique. Definique pushes her dancers to perfection and knows how far to take them based on your potential and desire. Now mind you, I’m in my early 30s, yet she pushes me to execute movement that she does for her young students… double pirouhettes, axle turns, splits, leaps, etc… and lord what else she has up in her sleeves. She is tough, but also gentle. Funny, yet professional. She fosters and encourages all dancers to feel the music. If you truly want to excel and become a better dancer… at any age, please do not hesitate to spend your dollars at Definique’s Dance Academy!

If you want your child to actually become a dancer, do not send your child to Definique/Missie. Her training skills are that of the 80s and early 90s and your child will not learn anything that is current or new. She recycles dances that she used 10 years ago at other studios and is using them again now because the material just isn’t there. She is a nice lady, however the goal is to dance and excel in dance and that isn’t what your child will get. She has a YouTube page to look at the results for yourself. She likes to hang out with middle and high school students and is more of a friend than anything. She means well, but this is not the place for your child to dance.

My daughter started dance with Definique and became confident with her first solo. Because of her beginning with Definique, she is now on the Mt. Carmel Dance troupe as one of the three only freshman’s on the team! Definique inspired my daughter to become the fantastic dancer that she is today. Without the early beginning, I doubt that she would have had the confidence and talent that she displays today. Kudos to Definique Dance Academy!
