Dennis has instructed our daughters in piano for nearly 8 years now. We are beyond grateful to have such a wonderful person to teach the art of music to our girls. He has been able to maintain their love for music by allowing them to grow and make changes to their instruction to fit their current interest. He has taught them everything from the classics to what they enjoy on the radio. His easy going personality has created a relaxed and nurturing environment that has resulted in a great love for not only the piano but all things music. If you’re looking for a music teacher to encourage your child Dennis is a wonderful choice!

If you’re looking for a GREAT guitar or piano teacher in the Poway area, Dennis Short is one of the best! My son (9) began guitar lessons with him two years ago and his playing has progressed from an interest to a passion. He practices daily all on his own and LOVES playing guitar. Dennis has the unique ability to make the language of music interesting and fun while following the students’ interest in playing the music he/​she desires. We are thrilled to have found him!
