I would love to give this Cafeteria a better review. Frankly its my only option close to work and I don’t love traveling far to get a good meal. I won’t speak too much on breakfast here in my review but I will say that I enjoy coming here for breakfast. The guy manning the breakfast station is fast, friendly and makes great food. He’s the only saving grace in an otherwise less than ideal venue for food close to work. Whenever I come here for lunch, I survey the options and wonder what I can possibly get that will make lunch worth having. This place really isn’t about value, quality or quantity. It literally has not one single selling point! What you can expect from the daily crafted meals is heavy carbs + some minor amount of protein and sometimes vegetables(but usually squeezing every penny here too). You can expect to have food that won’t always taste great and won’t make you sick. They follow California enforced health codes, Woopty-doo. Don’t expect to be satisfied with your meal unless you love eating bland carbs. I ordered a salad today. The guy manning the station looked at me and a friend and asked if we wanted everything on it. He started making our salad, albeit again with very little meat even split two ways. When the salad was almost complete a third person walked up and the server decided to split what he prepared three ways. How unprofessional and lazy. I ended up with a kids side salad with four bite size pieces of meat instead of the full salad I paid for. My previous visits to the cafeteria weren’t all so bad but the variance in consistency is enough to keep me away from eating here at lunch for good. I recommend speaking with your money and spending elsewhere. This place isn’t worth it unless you’re coming for breakfast.

Works for getting food at a decent price if you’re short on time, but this place definitely lives up to the cafeteria food stereotype. It’s pretty much crappy quality in terms of food. Nothing is very fresh and things mostly come from the freezer or out of cans. The sandwich station might be the safest and best bet. I learned to never get the main entrée for the day. It always seems like leftovers put together in their poor attempt to make more intricate, sometimes cultural, cuisine. Most of the staff is pretty good though. They, for the most part, work really fast to fill the orders.

After visiting several times, I won’t be back. Their order system is highly inefficient, and the food servers generally just stare if you ask for a food recommendation or have a question. I have come here several times for a sandwich. Before I order, I have to fill out the little sheet of paper, pay, then wait for my sandwich. More often than not, they do not have the ingredients I like on my sandwich, and sometimes they are even out of wheat or rye bread. This works well for them, because by the time they advise you of this, they’ve already collected your money. The main entrees are decent, but nothing to write home about. The vegetables look as though they’re heated from a can, and they need a ton of pepper to give them some taste. The entrees are usually lukewarm, and the servings are small for the $ 6-$ 9 you pay. I am hoping this place either improves, or they find another vendor to sell food. It’s quicker and cheaper to go elsewhere.

Only thing notable here are the burgers, breakfast, and sandwiches. Everything else is overpriced with poor quality. They seriously need to change the chef or the recipe to attract more customer. With so many food places around 5 miles, I rather go out to eat unless I am very hungry with no time to spare. Update: Breakfast here save it for an extra star. Still, it can be a hit or miss.

This place definitely has the advantage of being convenient for employees since it’s on site. Prices have gone down from ridiculous levels but still expect to spend $ 7 – 8. The food is pretty standard fare: soup, salad, sandwiches, and some kind of mass produced special of the day on a steam tray waiting for you to put it out of its misery. For those that dare venture inside, gravitate towards the Mexican dishes or the Grill, and for the love of god, avoid the meatloaf and anything claimed to be «Asian» food at all costs! The meatloaf has the unpleasant consistency of soggy jello and Asian food is often loosely resembles the intended cuisine. If you’re in a pinch, stick to something safe and this will do. Otherwise, there are better options in the area.
