Luna Grill

What a great surprise! I thought this was going to be just another chain restaurant review. I went a few weeks ago, had the Greek salad and added chicken — made for a wonderful lunch! Employees are super nice and the restaurant is very clean. It is a little pricey for what you get, but everything about the experience was perfect. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

I’m in love with greek cuisine the marinade is tasty. The food is awesome and healthy! It includes salad, yogurt, and kabob. This time after the Potato chip hike i deserved a good meal! So i ordered beef kabob and replaced rice with french fries! The picture says all the thing.

This food was so much better than my expectations. I thought it would be like daphnes but it was so much better.
The food was not greasy. It was plated nicely and had great presentation. It was amazingly delicious. I ordered the gyro plate and was blown away at the flavor of the meat and even the side salad that came with it was amazing.
To top it all off, we were eating on the patio with our two dogs, two employees came out to check on us during our meal and even offered to bring out water for our dogs! That level of service blew away my expectations. We will definitely be returning.

Food is delicious, staff are the best. Tonight I had dinner here. I have to say the staff working tonight and every time I’ve eaten here, are exemplary. I sat on the patio and three different gals checked on me to ensure I was comfortable, offered to turn on the heater, etc etc. Staff that reflect happiness in their work performance and provide excellent service like this are a true reflection of the management team. Thank you for making my dining experience so pleasant.

This location just recently opened up. The service was fantastic and the meal delicious. I got the kids menu chicken kebabs. It came with a large portion of rice, good sized chicken chunks, a few cucumber slices and pita bread. While I couldn’t eat the bread for allergies, the plate itself was enough for lunch. The portions on the regular entrée were double the kids size. There’s variety from salads, sandwiches to a la carte. Can’t wait to try it again. Shout out to Rhi, Ashley, Felipe, and Laura! Great team!

I enjoy lunch here with girlfriends weekly, and love the food, the outdoor patio, and the amazing staff including Alex, Ameerah, and Cheyenne; the entire staff is extremely friendly and professional.
The chicken kabobs are the best I’ve ever eaten, and I love the salads. I love having the locally sourced foods where I live in Poway.

Hector made our visit exceptional! He was very friendly, courteous and took the time to box my food as well as bring me additional carrots! The restaurant was clean and the entire staffed seemed genuinely happy to be there and to serve which makes a huge difference! Thanks again Hector for making my day!

We stopped by for lunch after a recent family hike up Iron Mountain; we were hungry and Luna Grill was the perfect stop. The food was delicious; flavorful gyro and tasty salads. Also, the service was excellent, well above what you would expect in a fast casual environment. Shauna, Rhi, and Laura took care of us, consistently bringing refills and making sure our experience was a pleasant one. We will happily return.

Just left there from a delicious lunch every single employee there was amazing. Very respectful and polite and not to mention they were all very beautiful! will definitely come back again! Thanks Ameerah, Ashley, Cassidy and Lawra and the rest of the staff!

My friends and I come here at least once a week The food is so wonderful. Tonight I had the gyro on flatbread with salad. Everything is always fresh here and always always served with a smile! I especially wanted to say thanks to Ameerah, Cheyenne and Alex for ther beautiful service and being so awesome! see you on Wednesday!

I just moved to the neighborhood so I figured I’d check this place out. The service was great. The food took a while to come out, but it was super fresh and super delicious.
There was a self serve soda/​tea fountain, and they bring your food to your table.
I ordered the filet beef kabob and it was great. It’s a little pricey for lunch but I’m sure they have other options.

Lesbehonest, I came here because I had a coupon for a free item. We got the free appetizer, but we purchased a plate of kabobs and extras. That coupon brought us in the door and Luna Grill got our business. I’m so glad I’m a sucker for discounts/​freebies, because we just had some of the best kabobs we’ve had in a while. We had the chicken and Beef Filet kabobs with basmati rice, a side salad and spicy hummus. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The meats was juicy and tender, the hummus lightly spicy, served with pita.
The gal that took our order was friendly and the guy that cleared our plates was great. No complaints and now we know where to find some good Mediterranean food close to home.

This is our first time at Luna Grill and we are having the Beef Kabob and Chicken Kabob. We love persian food and gerenally have high expectations. Having said that, our server was really nice and plates were well presented. The restaurant itself is clean and looks really nice. The food arrived in a timely manner and it looked beautiful on the plates. The humus was one of the best we have tried over the years. The Beef Kabob are tender, juicy and very flavorful. Chicken Kabob are equally good. We eat a lot and still had left overs. Highly recommend it!

Alex and Rhieanna did a really great job servings here at the Poway Luna Grill. The place is extremely clean which my wife loved. The food is absolutely flavorful and delicious. I am absolutely coming back. Come check it out as you won’t be disappointed.

Dropped by here after another one of my weightlifting sessions! We were in the mood for Mediterranean so saw this was closer than the one in Scripps Ranch so jumped in the car and drove here. It is in the same parking lot as Target and quite a lot of parking. It was very roomy and had good ambiance. They also had outdoor seating but it’s been pretty chilly lately.
Grabbed a table after ordering, and time seemed to fly by pretty fast as my dinner mate as he was helping me resolve laptop issues. I discovered my laptop was 5 years old — Ive forgotten how long its been haha. Food came out not too long would say 8 – 15 minutes? Presentation was colorful. Got your balsamic rice, pita bread, salad, choice of meat/​seafood along with choice of having carrots or tomatoes at the side (tomatoes might have been something else). I ordered the Norwegian Salmon and he ordered the Mahi Mahi. The kind girl manning the cashier took our orders (I hate myself for not remembering her name off the top of my head) — and agreed that the choices were pretty good. Mine better than his though, hah! Veggies were fresh.
I do agree the Norwegian Salmon was grilled to perfection in my opinion and I thoroughly enjoyed the dish. I feel that the Mahi Mahi seemed to be a smaller portion but might have just been me. There was a lot of rice left over — feel like most places always overdose on rice.
They are closed the 26^th of November and accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Would come again. This is good for a drop in but do not think it’s extraordinary delicious to make a long trip to come to.

I have to admit that I love me some Luna Grill Flat Chicken Kabob for for $ 11.50.
The tender all white chicken was served with a side of Basmati rice, a small amount of pita bread, a salad with feta cheese that I added for a dollar extra, and some grilled carrots. The chicken was quite savory as advertise, tender, but just a tad dry inside, which did not take from the goodness of the chicken. The chicken had great color brought on by the charring. Also, they did not skimp on the quantity.
The rice was nice and fluffy with a bit of yellow brought on by the turmeric. Although I really enjoyed the rice, I wish they would of added more turmeric. The pits sliced were very good but limited. I used what little pieces they did give me to make mini pita sandwiches with the chicken, salad, and yogurt sauce. The salad was fresh and the feta cheese was great. The cucumber, onions, and tomatoes were all fresh and crisp and the salad dressing or house vinaigrette was quite tasty. I say, the more feta cheese the better. That’s what I have to say about the feta I added to the salad.
Service was great at the ordering counter. The employee had a very good sense of humor and was friendly. I really liked the team leader that was there on my particular visit. She was hand on, taking orders, serving meals, cleaning up, and visiting table to ask if patrons needed anything else and such. Well done.

I’m from out of the area and was searching Unilocal for something close for dinner. I found this place and the reviews are pretty darn good and this type of food is one my favs so I decided to try it. I walk in and am greeted the second I walked in the door. The place was clean and bright. I was waited on by a very friendly cashier and she gave me a number. Sat down and they deliver the food right out to you which is a nice touch for this type of casual fast dining. I had the gyro platter with grilled tomato and oh my yum was it good. The meat was a tad dry but had great flavor. The rice was soft and fluffy and flavorful. The pitas and dipping sauce were so amazing and the side salad was good and the dressing was even better. I really enjoyed the whole meal. I am in town for a week and will def be dining back with them!

Multigrain flatbread… A different option.
Luna Grill is a great chain with great food. But at this location I tried something new. I ordered our wraps with multigrain flatbread instead of the always reliable pita bread.
Was that a mistake?
Chicken wrap with multigrain flatbread — I think the chicken works with the wrap format because there was enough flavor there to outweight the blandness of the wrap. I’d rather have real pita bread.
Falafel wrap with multigrain flatbread — Didn’t care much for their falafel, very dry and crumbly. The bread was dry too so the combination of the two was not very pleasant.. Probably my least favorite item from Luna Grill
Summation — Just get the damn real pita bread! Their flatbread tasted like that Matzo cracker stuff.
Tip — If you want great falafel go to Crossroads Deli in the UTC area. They only make them on Friday.

Situated in a plaza with Target and CorePower Yoga, Luna Grill is definitely a fitting location of healthy dining whether it’s for or dinner. The menu is the same as other locations in this franchise, but the best part is that you can check the nutrition facts for all the items on their menu (get your macros!)
I usually get the chicken kebab and greek salad ($ 12). The generous portion of chicken kebab is very moist and flavorful, excellently grilled. Definitely skip the pita as there’s not much flavor to it, but the yogurt sauce is tasty. Overall the quality of ingredients is very consistent across all locations.
Service is quick, with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Can’t complain, but I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for lots of protein!
