My daughter wanted a horse so bad for her birthday that we finally agreed to look for a pony to come to her birthday party. WOW! It was the best experience for our girl and all her friends! Mike was a pleasure to work with and it was a no stress event. The ponies were sweet and gentle. It truly was a pleasure planning the event with Party Pony Express and the actual event exceeded our expectations.

Mike and his staff are reliable and easy to work with! The animals are sweet, patient with young children, and are clearly well cared for. We first came in contact with this business at the Mt. Olive Preschool Harvest Festival. My kids had so much fun that we hired Mike for our daughters birthday. The first party was such a hit that we’ve used him two years in a row with plans to hire him again. They provide lots of extras (costumes for the kids to wear while riding, bows and clips to decorate the ponies hair and music). And as another reviewer mentioned, Mike was great dealing with timid children. Thank you Mike!

Mike and his crew are reliable and easy to work with! The animals are so sweet and gentle and are clearly well loved and cared for. We have used this business two years in a row for children’s parties and will definitely hire them again. We also see them every year at the Mt. Olive Preschool Harvest Festival. They are always on time and add lots of extras– dress up items for the kids to use (hats, vests, etc), and pony decorating items (bows, clips, etc). Sasha the donkey and friends came to St Bart’s for our Palm Sunday service and everyone had a FANTASTIC time. Accommodating 60 or so kids was well planned and executed and Mike’s experience and knowledge enabled us to walk Sasha through the church and for children as young as 18 months to ride.

The planning part of the process was a bit laid back, simply told Mike the date and time I wanted and he took my phone number and said okay. I called to confirm, never got a phone call back. Then called again a week later and he answered and confirmed.
Day of party said they’d arrive 30 min early to set up and get everything ready. They showed up 15 minutes after the time they were scheduled to have kids riding the horses. Then it took another 20 minutes to get everything ready. Kids didn’t care, they loved riding the ponies. That is, until Daisy, the big one that could hold two kids, spooked with a 5 year old girl getting off, and took off running around my property and off onto the street. Luckily the girl let go before Daisy got too crazy. Scared all the parents that were there but Mike seemed to have calmed her down. Two rides later she still was skid dish with my kids on her and he decided Daisy was done for the day. That was only 45 minutes into the hour we were scheduled to have. They stayed and let the kids finish up on Toby the smaller pony but the whole incident put a damper on the party. And the 5 year old most likely will never get on a horse again. Mike said it’d never happened before… I wouldn’t recommend this pony party company. There are plenty of others to chose from.

awesome amazing and worth it. Booked then for my kids birthday party and not only did the children love and enjoy the experience, but the whole neighborhood came out to see what was taking place. The day went well, and so worth it.
