San Diego Granite

SD Granite did an amazing job on fabricating our counter tops. They were contracted by our main remodeling company to do the job, but they were great about communicating directly with me when necessary. One of the best parts of working with them was getting to go to their warehouse and do the digital templating on our slabs in order to get the best patterns on our countertop and avoid some of the more flawed parts of the slab that we did not want on our counters. Their system of measuring was very meticulous and they called me when they were having trouble fabricating our quartzite (apparently ours were the hardest slabs they’ve ever worked with. whoops). However, they were able to eventually fabricate our slabs with a slight delay due to the toughness of our material. They also did the counter install and it looks just like we hoped it would. We still have a couple large pieces of material leftover so we can’t wait to come back and have them cut into something interesting!

Extremely disappointed in San Diego Granite. I’ll include some other options in the review for you to try.
We have a bathroom vanity that has an existing wood overhang. When the «expert» from San Diego granite came to measure they ADDED another 1 ¼″ overhang. I never saw a sketch and signed nothing, my mistake, I assumed they knew what they were doing. When the counter top came back it looked more like a table top with the almost 4″ overhang on a 24″ vanity. On site they were very friendly and said they could fix it. But on the phone, they were extremely inflexible and unwilling to help.
I EVEN OFFERED to split the cost of fixing the problem with them but the owner, Doug said… And I quote «it’s not worth it to me». That’s some great service.
I will post a photo of their «quality work» when they deliver it.
I have used many great fabricators in San Diego and only used San Diego Granite because I had found a remnant I liked there.
Veronica at «granite OF San Diego» is my favorite and I plan on paying them to come out and fix the problem but you can also try: artistic marble and granite, JD countertops, or Russo Tile and Marble.

San Diego Granite is by far and away the best place to purchase countertops in the San Diego area.
Their customer service is top notch and pricing is more than fair. They acted quickly and professionally to accommodate my schedule and keep my remodel project going forward. The workmanship on the kitchen countertop they installed was stellar!
I highly recommend San Diego Granite for any countertop or fabrication needs that you might have.

As I stated above, I would go back to San Diego Granite when I started my kitchen project, and I did. I just had my beautiful granite countertops installed in my kitchen and must say that the second time working with San Diego Granite is just as exceptional as my last time. This company understands «customer service» as well as provides exceptional workmanship. Their mitered edges are remarkable and impossible to see the seam. Just as I stated in my first review, they are so nice and go out of their way to make sure that the customer gets what they are expecting. After having gone through a remodel and have worked with so many people, I find that it’s rare to work with people who are exceptional at their trade AND exceptional to work with; San Diego Granite has both! They are an outstanding company that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a stone fabricator and installer.

I just wanted to say how wonderful our experiance was with San Diego Granite. We only needed a service visit for our existing granite but Bill (Owner) was so helpful and quick in getting someone over. As it turned out nothing needed to be done but I wouldnt hesitate to call them first next time we need any kind of granite work done. Thank you for making our experiance so great!
