This place is perfection. Pricey perfection, but perfect nonetheless. Gorgeous main ranch house, fire pits scattered through the property for cozy evenings. Lovely, spotless gym. One indoor lap pool, 2 gorgeous outdoor pools w rocky landscape in keeping w the natural landscape. Poolside food and drinks available. Pool has a big slide for the kids. Property is beautifully designed in keeping w central Oregon vibe. Didn’t do the spa, just too pricey at $ 140 a massage. Will def come back. 5 star property without the snob and overdone factor. Staff has a lot of friendly polite young people. Well done Brasada.

GOLFREVIEWONLY: Had a chance to come out and play Brasada a few weeks ago. I went out for twilight with a friend and had great weather and pace of play. The course was fantastic with great panoramic views of the cascades. The biggest pet peeve was there was no water on the course or even at the turn. The water that was supposed to be available at the turn was empty. When I asked someone who worked there if there was water, I was told that they machines were broken and that was all the water they had. Great thanks for the help. For $ 95 they should have bottled water. I’ve played $ 50 muni courses that provide water. If the course is trying to cut costs, not offering water to guests on a hot day is not the way to do it. I won’t play this course again. Also felt that a $ 95 guest fee for twilight was excessive. I’m used to paying that in other places but not in Bend. At least provide a better level of service and a good experience for a $ 95 twilight rate.

OK everyone — This is the best-kept secret in Deschutes County. Stop wasting your time with fancy hotels downtown, or cute little lodge resorts in Sisters. Brasada Ranch definitely has it going on! Treat yourself to a 3rd-story suite and you will be thanking me forever. The facilities(golf, health club, spa, horseback riding, and the cutest General Store you’ve ever seen) cannot be beat. The restaurants are superb and the staff is very gracious. My wife and I had a fabulous weekend — you deserve one too! –Mike M

We recently celebrated Mother’s Day at Brasada with a brunch. While the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious, the hostess brought us to our table 45 minutes AFTER our scheduled reservation time. While I understand that there can be logistical difficulties, the restaurant’s staff(particularly the hosting crew) put their heads down and pretended as nothing was happening, which I found to be a poor decision when you have a lobby full of families with young kids waiting to celebrate their moms.

Absolutely loved the food, accommodations, and service. For the time I spent at the ranch I ate every meal there and it was simply amazing. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and great flavor. Tried food away from the ranch and it wasn’t nearly as good. Looking forward to my next visit. I recommend trying the panna cotta, fresh cookies(the spa has fresh made lavender shortbread cookies which you may be able to request at the restaurant), and whatever they’re smoking is usually fantastic as well.

We rented a cabin at the ranch for a weekend since a family member was getting married here. The grounds are lovely and the view of the mountains is fabulous. You can see stars at night. This would be a fun place to ride my bike; I should have brought it! The cabins were nice and well-appointed. We had a big deck and took full advantage of the hot tub. However the light fixtures inside were all incredibly dim. Even when we turned on every light in the place it was very dark. This was especially a problem in the bathroom when we were trying to get ready for the wedding. I advise that you bring some light bulbs with you if you stay in a cabin here. At the reception in the barn the various courses were not brought to the table all at once but over a period of half an hour, which was weird, and not what the bride and groom had requested. Other things went wrong too, I found out later. This is a beautiful place and a great getaway if you can afford it.

I booked a dinner for my sister and her new hubby in the Ranch House Library for the smallest wedding reception of about 6 people. A beautiful and casual little private room. Food was delicious! Always ask what the farmers pie is! I had a jalepeño chicken flatbread(designed by Junior and made by Vanessa) and it was fantastic. Other food was enjoyed as well by others like the prime rib dip, the Mac and cheese(always a favorite no matter what) and the fried chicken was perfect(comes with a side of potatoes, a biscuit and amazing kale) Michelle was exceptional! She is one of the sweetest servers and represents Brasada very well! For breakfast I joined my sister and her new hubby and Tim was our server! Also an exceptional server, checked in on us often and made sure our breakfast was treating us well. I had the Brasada Hash with pork belly(personal favorite, the pork belly was delicious) also enjoyed during breakfast were Belgium waffles and a classic, the breakfast burrito. Cudos to the cooks! We were all so happy with everything.

This place is amazing, beautiful venue. Our server, the beautiful Stef, was so attentive and funny. I had the flat iron steak, and my girlfriend had lentil sandwich. The steak was so tender and full of flavor, and for vegetarian food the sandwich was pretty darn good! You definitely need to try this place out if you haven’t.

So we just got back from a 3 night stay at the Brasada. I’ll start with a good and get to the bad. THEGOOD: We made our reservations(during the week) very far in advance for a spa get away. The time was inching closer so we decided to book our spa services — come to find out the spa is only open Fri-Sun due to construction. We weren’t notified and that was a bummer. Kacy from Brasada went above and beyond to make sure that everything was okay. Make special accommodations for us. Suggested wonderful activities for us and was ultimately the savior of the trip. He was great — someone should give that guy a raise. We went on a two our horseback ride that was one of the highlights of the trip. The cabin we stayed in exceeded our expectations and was truly wonderful. THEBAD: The spa. The spa was just an awful experience all around. We were the first to arrive for treatments and for whatever reason the woman manning the front desk could not get my mother’s name(Cheryl) right. She called her multiple things — non of which was Cheryl. I couldn’t understand why as we had booked our services with our names and filled out paperwork with our names. The treatments themselves were soso. My mom had the 60 minute signature massage &90 minute hydration facial. I had the signature 60 minute facial and 90 minute deep tissue. Nothing stood out as being anything special. The space itself is not sound proof. So they have weddings often and loud bridal parties(totally understandable) but you can hear their chatter and laughing in the rooms where the other treatments are being given. It’s no longer relaxing. I often found myself feeling more uncomfortable than not. So we get done with it and decided to cut our losses. Pay and leave a 20% tip despite the less than amazing experience. The front desk person still could not get my mother’s name right. $ 800 later — and she couldn’t look down to try to be personable. And to add insult to injury — apologized for our original spa debacle after the services and payment. IDK — after everything else I expected better. tl;dr: The resort itself is amazing. Kacy is a badass customer service rockstar. The spa sucks –go else where.

We just spent a four day vacation at Brasada Ranch. We’ve had the best experience imaginable! We’ve eaten at the restaurant on site once or twice every day. The meal was beyond perfection! The service impeccable! Huge shout out to Bethany! I think she works 24 hours a day! She was busting her butt every time we were here. Thank you Stephanie for the great service! This entire weekend was such an amazing experience.

This place is nice but the lodge needs to work on what they are actually offering. No two rooms are the same and some are definitely better than others. Not to say they aren’t great but the one we initially got was no where near what we thought we were getting. I know it sounds petty, but we wanted a soaking tub as pictured on their site. The room had nothing but a stand in shower. It’s weird that the obviously have several different levels of room but charge the same and getting one with a tub is by chance only. The management was very responsive to this since we booked a while out and it was our anniversary. They went above and way beyond to make it a special occasion for us. The location is absolutely beautiful. The amenities are ridiculously nice. If you are staying there, upgrade to the cabins, you won’t regret it.

Just wrapped up another amazing trip to this fantastic resort. Our cabin offered us amazing views and the staff treated us like royalty! The food is awesome and the bloody Mary’s come complete with candied bacon and a shrimp skewer. Views, accommodations and outstanding service will keep us coming back!

Paul and I just enjoyed Christmas breakfast at Brasada Ranch, and boy were we glad they were open today! Our server, Tim, was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere could not have been better. Sipping hot tea while gazing at the Cascade Mountains felt like an amazing dream. Paul had a waffle with some scrambled eggs on the side, and I had the biscuits and gravy. We shared a fruit bowl to ease our guilt about the otherwise indulgent meal. Everything tasted good. Thanks to the folks at Brasada Ranch for helping us start Christmas off on a high note!

My family and I went to Brasada for my oldest son’s wedding for the weekend. The 4 bedroom cabin I rented was appointed with nice furniture, very cozy and clean. I loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. And each bedroom had its own Keurig coffee maker. 2 out of 3 coffee makers did not work. Another problem is the water in the shower was basically lukewarm, no hot showers here. When I asked them to turn up the instant heat, they replied that by law they can’t make it any hotter. However, when I stay at the Oxford in Bend, I ALWAYS have HOT water. This was an issue. They neglected to tell us that housekeeping comes every 3 days. This really wasn’t a problem for us, however they should provide you with extra towels. As for accommodating our group for the wedding… it was a very pleasant experience. Our food was very good, the wait staff was superb. I found the front desk staff and all the employees to be very professional and friendly. They truly wanted us to be happy. I was a little shocked when I checked out to see that on top of the rate for the room, there was a $ 68.00 resort fee, plus taxes which actually added another $ 122.00 a night for the room. I will definitely go back to Brasada and looking forward to it. I just wish they could fix the hot water in the shower.

Paul took us on a hour and half trail ride. It had absolutely beautiful views! Paul was great with two 7 year olds and myself, he put them at ease and kept them entertained. I would suggest this ride to anyone visiting Central Oregon! Chris and his staff go above and beyond.

We loved our stay at Brasada! The cabin was immaculate and so cozy and well appointed. We had a beautiful view of Mt Hood and the Powell Butte surroundings. Although other cabins are quite close it still felt very private and we were not able to see or hear other guests while in the cabin. The covered parking was nice too especially in the snow. The casual restaurant was good but not great. Service was super slow, but we have come to expect that in slower resort communities; it’s not city life and service standards are different. That being said, one meal we waited an hour for our food. The service staff and manager were MORE than accommodating and offered us discounts, freebies and kindness throughout. It’s hard to complain when staff is that attentive and apparently they were having pizza oven issues; things happen! Dining in the«fine dining» restaurant was a huge disappointment. We paid for the four course dinner associated with the New Years Eve party at Brasada. I couldn’t even eat some of it. The ingredients were over finessed; the meal had all the right components but the attention to detail was definitely not«fine dining». I couldn’t even eat the foie gras, which is my favorite. Don’t waste your money fine dining at Brasada. The kids attended the kids New Years Eve party at the clubhouse. They had a GREAT time and they seemed to have a lot of activities and entertainment. The kids(8&10) had a blast! Overall the experience was fabulous! We will definitely be back. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and we would only change our dining experiences. Next time we’ll cook more in our awesome cabin kitchen!

My husband and I celebrated my 30th birthday with a 6 day stay at Brasada Ranch. We live in San Antonio, Texas and had never visited Oregon before. I am going to be honest, this trip was a shot in the dark. I found Brasada Ranch on Groupon, and with a leap of faith booked a week in November. Our gamble really paid off! Brasada Ranch was incredible. Powell Butte, OR is easily the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited. We stayed in a Ranch House suite, and had the most beautiful view from our balcony/windows. A bottle of Pinot Grigio was waiting for us, with a hand written note wishing me a Happy 30th Birthday! The best features in our suite: the gas fireplace that kept us nice and toasty in the cold weather, and the beautiful bathroom. I loved the barn door that opened up in the bathroom so I could take a bath and watch the sunset! The bathtub was really nice and deep too. The service at the hotel was excellent as well. It was unseasonably cold during our stay(woke up one morning and it was 2 degrees!). That didn’t slow us down one bit. As hard as it was to leave our room, we wanted to make the most of our trip. We spent a lot of time in the Ranch House restaurant(just a short walk downstairs). We ate breakfast there every morning, and the food was 5 stars. Again, the service was awesome. We came to Powell Butte with a planned itinerary, and threw it out the window. Our waitress every morning, made suggestions and we followed them. We went to Deschutes Brewery and Smith Rock Park to name a few. We ate several dinners in Bend, about 30 miles away from Brasada Ranch, and each time we did, we regretted it. To be honest, the food was so much better at the Ranch House, we wish we ate every meal there. The beer was worth the drive though ;) and I definitely recommend Deschutes beer! A couple other things I loved about Brasada Ranch: a 2 hour trail ride we went on(our guide was awesome), and feeding their horses carrots every morning. I’m a big animal lover, and brought a big bag of carrots with me. I’ve been on many trail rides in Texas, but the trail ride on the ranch was the best, and most professional ride I’ve been on. Well worth every penny! BTW, it was about 14 degrees on our trail ride. But it was just the 3 of us(my husband, me and the guide) which made it so special. I will book two next trip, one ride just wasn’t enough. We are already planning our next trip! We’re planning a 5 yr anniversary trip in September of 2016. Next time we want to take advantage of swimming in their beautiful pool, hot tub, and golf. We also want to enjoy their camp fire! September should be a better month for that. Some tips: fly into the Redmond airport if you’re from out of state(we made the mistake of flying into and out of Portland), definitely rent a car, there is so much exploring/hiking to do within driving distance, stay in the Ranch House, and eat at their restaurant as much as you can! You won’t regret it. We cannot wait to go back, and joke that when we win the lottery, we will buy a house on Brasada Ranch… they do have cabins for sale there;)

Wow, wow, wow. While Brasada Ranch is about 30 minutes outside of Bend in a place some would describe as the middle of nowhere(Powell Butte, and I’m talking about locals who describe it this way) in our book, this is a fantastic spot to stay and pretty darned luxurious. The views looking down on the Three Sisters makes this place a little jewel. With a main Ranch House, family cabins and two restaurants on the property, along with a new gym with state of the art equipment. and a set of pools, one with a water slide, and some gigantic jacuzzi tubs, you will not want to leave. We stayed in a suite-like room in the main Ranch House that had its own large living room, wet bar and refrigerator stocked with water. The property is simple luxury. Its cowboy friendly sure(there was a little too much Nashville-centric music playing at their restaurants for our tastes) and the golf friendly vibe sometimes has its dark side(You know the guys with polo shirts and corporate macho attitude can be offputting at times. Although they don’t realize it. We are more the quirky, frisbee golf types.) but besides these things, Brasada is darned spectacular and comfortable, especially for my husband and I who have spent about zero time in the high desert and would now qualify as major fans. In fact, after several days here we became hands-down fans of Bend and its family and food-friendly, adventure lifestyle and craft-beer loving culture. Brasda has recently undergone a ownership change and the new owners have dumped serious cash into the property. It shows. The Ranch House Restaurant, in the main house, serves a mean breakfast particularly the Brasada Hash with forest mushrooms & the buttery vegetable omelette with forest mushrooms, asparagus and gruyère. The more upscale(and pricey) restaurant Range, serves dinner, excellent wine by the glass, great bites, cocktails, desserts and boasts incredible views of the 3 Sisters. Even if you don’t stay here, head over to Range for a sunset view and a round of their gourmet smores and drinks. Nom. We can also highly recommend the burger(perfect medium rare), the kale side and the pork belly lettuce wraps(seriously good.) Hotel service is friendly, with the front desk, although well-meaning, being the somewhat weak link.
