Very nice place to stay. I travel on business and this is very clean and the owners are friendly. I highly recommend this business. Good restaurant just across the street. I will be back again.

Working in town and needed to stay overnight, for 60 bucks I got a very large clean beautiful room with a larger Samsung flatscreen TV. The free breakfast has waffles, biscuits and gravy and all the usual other stuff. I wish I would have chosen this place in my previous visits to this town. Excellent value.

When we were planning a fall-colors tour up the Mississippi Valley, I was a bit surprised to find that the first couple weeks of October appears to be a «high season» around here when it comes to finding hotel rooms. The Super8 seemed to sit in a narrow range between the«how much ya got?» hotels and the«better than sleeping in your car, but not much» places, so I booked here for a couple of nights. The lobby is, to spin it nicely, no-frills. Not grungy, mind you, just no-frills. When we got into town just around their published check-in time, the manager let me know upfront that our room wasn’t quite ready, but if we wanted to check in and then get some lunch, it’d be ready for us in half an hour. And it was so. The room: I’ve been in a number of Super8s over the years, and have run into rooms on the lower end of the curve which reminded me of a crime scene. Happily, the rooms here are pretty far out on the high end, and are nice, clean, quiet, and smell nice. The beds are similar — not fancy, but comfy. Breakfast will remind you that this is a budget hotel — it’s a basic continental breakfast with hot food limited to waffles, biscuits and gravy, and whatever you can wedge into a toaster. There’s a nearby family restaurant across the street if you want something more substantial. When it comes to budget lodging, my baseline is «no surprises». The PdC Super8 generally conforms to this standard, I had no bad surprises, and some nice surprises regarding the quality of the room for the price-point. We had a couple of restful nights, and if you’re not looking for luxury, the PdC Super8 will take care of you just fine. Solid 3.5 stars from this reviewer.
