Prairie Du Rocher Community Library

This is a project of love for the community. A retired school teacher and her husband bought the old bank in town and converted it to a public library. One of the safes is the children’s area, it makes them feel special. Shocking this building has two safes, so in the smaller safe they have the history of the area in this safe. They already have a 1000 books, the owners gave us a private tour. She told us that they get called weekly to come and get books, surprisingly the donations are in really great shape. If they get a double of a book they already have, they keep the nicest one and put the other in the free box (yes, they do not ask you to pay for a book). This is a non profit and anyone, yes anyone can came and check out a book in their library. Can you tell this woman loves for people to read. They survive on donations.
