Went there this evening and they are remodeling the place so bringing it up to date. The new owners are definitely trying to improve it. There is a much better selection now and I’ve found food that Wal-Mart use to carry. After all we all know how Wal-Mart will carry something for so long and then get rid of it after you fall in love with it. This is turning into a gem. The owners are really working hard and its showing and prices are really improving a carry full off groceries for$ 200 can’t go wrong! :)

GETT-TOE and way overpriced. Had we known there was a Piggly Wiggle close by we would have never stepped foot in the place. We spent more for 2 days than we spend at Aldi in 2 weeks!

You have got to be kidding me… The prices are INSANE. Seriously 1 zucchini was 2.99 $… I don’t know how this place stays in business. Flys everywhere in the produce department, sticky floors, dirty doors in the cold section and OVER priced.

Shopped there a few times while vacationing in the area. Good and decent, considering there are no alternatives nearby, even if somewhat depressed. Nicer then Piggly Wiggly in Lodi.

As far as small-town grocery stores go, this Sentry is a couple of decades behind the times. Over the four years that I have worked in Prairie du Sac, I have repeatedly sworn off this Sentry in favor of the nicer and newer Piggly Wiggly in Sauk City. The store manager is surprisingly rude, though I will give the employees credit for having a nice demeanor most of the time. Unfortunately for them, their store is dingy and dated. The layout is in the typical 70’s era fashion. I never did any significant grocery shopping at this store, but when I did need to pick up certain items it was always hit-or-miss, since the selection was never all that good. The produce area was not terrible, though I don’t recall ever seeing organic. I used to frequent the deli for lunch quite often since it was a quick walk, but the food was generally mediocre and occasionally terrible. Most of the food was either fried or broiled. There were a few instances where I was impressed, but these were unfortunately few and far between. I recall there would be sandwich specials from time to time, including turkey with sun-dried tomato and provelone. These were quite good, but it was only a rare occurrence and most days you would have to settle for the same-old. I sometimes would try the pre-made cold sandwiches and salads, but these were never good. I now make it a point to either bring in my lunch or drive to Sauk City rather than go back to the bad old days at the Sentry.
