When all was said and done, I would recommend Prescott Auto Body. We had our Chrysler Van repaired after a minor collision. Prescott Auto Body was the preferred shop for our insurance company. They had the work done on time and kept us informed throughout. They detailed the interior of the car and had it washed and ready for pickup which was a nice touch on the customer service side. Keep up the good work!

Holy Cow! Came to Unilocal to write these guys a good review and POW saw the others! So glad I had a different experience. My thought has always been that you get OUT of a conversation what you put into it, and I found the staff to be knowledgeable and courteous. Estimate was explained in detail and even included an opinion from one of the repairmen that coincided with that of the estimator to the letter. Can’t really rehearse that! During the repair I dropped by unannounced and was able to speak with the repairman fixing my car. He was friendly, welcoming and obviously a well trained veteran of his trade. My car was completed on time and looked great. In fact, the Manager, Mark, even stayed after hours to accommodate a late pickup. Maybe I got lucky, but maybe it’s the norm’…the place was«packed». With only 3 reviews before me, maybe those were the only miscues.

This place sucks and the guy that answers the phone is a complete dick! I called about 3 to see if my truck would be done by 4 like they told me earlier this morning. They said they were pushing it for today. I called back at 415 to see if it would be done by 5 when they close. The guy said«didn’t we speak about 30 min ago?» I said yes but I’m going to be out and about and wanted to see if it would be done by 5. He said«I told you I’d call you when it’s done!» Then hung up! Well scree you ass hole! It’s my truck and I have a right to know when it’s done! Never will I go back or refer anyone. No wonder there’s one star and bad reviews

Prescott Auto Body at 1635 Iron Springs Road in Prescott needs a lesson in communication. My daughter needed some repair for her car and Prescott Auto Body was recommended and she received a quote from them as well as several others. She asked if they would include a small area of touch up around the rear license plate and the estimator agreed to do it at no extra cost. The person who hit my daughter’s car wanted to pay cash for the repairs and Prescott Auto was a little less cost than the other quotes and agreed to do the touch up so she selected Prescott Auto and to help the person paying. I was able to get a rental car at my work cheaper to help the person out as well. We dropped the car off on a Wed and was told it would be about 5 days to repair. My daughter received a call two days later on Friday late in the afternoon between 4:00 — 5:00pm and was told her car was ready and to come in to pay for it. My daughter told the person calling that she and her family was in a wedding rehearsal about an hour away and would not be able to make it in that late in the day. The person was taken back and told her to pay for it and would arrange for the car to be picked up on Sat, otherwise the shop was closed on Sat and Sun. We wanted to see the car first before it was paid for and than would have to contact the person, who wanted to write a check, to come by the shop to pay for it. By the time we could do all this it would have been getting very late into Friday evening, not to mention having to leave our planned evening. My daughter said she would be in on Monday. When we arrived Monday we noticed that the touch up paint was not completed and we asked about it and was told by the estimator that because we did not mention the touch up to the person we dropped the car off with is the reason they did not do it.(I did not think we were to do their scheduling for them). Than they said there was going to be a cost to do the touch up. OK, which one was it? At that point I knew this was going no where and let it go. The party paying for it arrived and the first thing the person who was collecting the money said was that the car was ready on Friday and should not pay for the extra rental days. I became upset(not yelling or screaming, just upset), and said it is not my fault for your lack of communication and they have no business saying that. I was than asked to leave the office. Of course after the person paid and came out of the office, agreed with them and I ended up paying for a portion of the rental. Just a simple call early on Friday or even early afternoon that they were running ahead of schedule and that the car were be ready Friday evening, I could of made some kind of arrangements to get the car on Friday or Sat and could have avoided the drama. I understand no business is perfect but it is how they handle issues and communicate to the customer that separates the fair from the great compamies. Prescott Auto Body comes in near the bottom on this one.

My Story: My experience at Prescott Auto Body(1635 W Iron Springs Rd /1649 Vyne St) was terrible AFTER the job was«finished.» Within minutes after getting my car, I noticed that they broke my window control panel when reinstalling it into the arm rest. Then I saw paint drips — something no body shop should allow out the door. Then, missing bumper and body bolts. Plus, the headlights were both loose without retainer bolts. I returned. The response was hostile. They finally agreed to do the rework, but I had to wait three days. The delay was disappointing since I had PAID for work that was not completed. I had to rent a car at my own expense. Bottom Line: My experience was upsetting, costly, and time consuming. Flawed work, delays and resistance to doing needed rework are worth only 1 star. Moreover, their rework was flawed: I ended up buying better fitting genuine Toyota body hardware and having additional rework done elsewhere.
