Kate is a terrific barber. I have been going to her for several years. I have worn a flat top or crew cut (whatever you prefer to call it) haircut for 25 years and I’m very particular. She is very consistent and my cut always looks the same. I always get compliments and people frequently ask me who cuts my hair. Kate is the best barber I have ever been to and that is why I keep going back.

Kate is a very good barber, but not consistent. My «same» haircut varied too much visit to visit. While she recognizes you when you walk in the door, she doesn’t remember your cut. Prompting her with details of your last cut really doesn’t do any good. Bless her heart. She just doesn’t remember.
Tip: The vast majority of her cuts are by appointment. You must call early 7 am-​ish the morning of to book an appointment — being a walk-​in probably won’t work… she could be booked for hours.

Kate is hands down the best barber in Prescott. After years of mediocre haircuts a friend suggested that I try Straight Edge. Needless to say I haven’t been anywhere else since that first cut. If you want a great cut, give Kate a shot.

OUCH!!!
I was looking for a barber shop since I recently moved to the area. The haircut is nice, but I had one big issue. As the name indicates, the barber used a straight edge razor to shave parts of my neck. I noticed afterward that my skin was rather irritated after the shave. When I got home, I looked in the mirror and noticed that my neck had been cut & my shirt collar had blood stains all over it. When someone cuts me, I expect a few basic things to be done: tell me you cut me and offer to clean and bandage it for me. I’m not going to return to a place where I had one of my shirts stained and wasn’t even informed.
