Blondie’s Baking Company was founded by Chef Cindy Selby, and this small bakery offers a variety of cupcakes, wedding cakes, specialty cakes, pastries, as well as hot/​cold coffee and tea beverages. The hubs and I were in the area, and we decided to stop on by. We were warmly welcomed by the main barista, Nathan, and he had such a great sense of humor and was just super sweet! I was a little apprehensive in trying out the cupcakes, as I noticed that one of the cupcakes was featured on ‘Cupcake Wars’ — trying not have such high expectations, I decided to try out 4 flavors: the Texas Turtle (super decadent, but not too overwhelming, this had a nice chocolate-​y cake that was topped with a nice buttercream with caramel drizzle and crunchy toffee bits); the Cupcake Wars cupcake (with butterscotch and cashews, this was a simple but tasty cupcake); Pink Feather Boa (a vanilla cupcake with a pink buttercream top, mixed with shredded coconut — I really liked this one!); and, a Cookies n’ Cream (chocolate-​y cake topped with a nice buttercream frosting and a generous amount of Oreo chunks — any Cookies n’ Cream/​Oreo lover will dig this!). Each of the cupcakes had its own respective and distinct taste and was more on the dense/​cake-​y side — I really enjoyed each of them, and I loved that the cake was moist while the ‘frosting’ was whipped, light, and not too overwhelming! They were also pretty: D I also tried a Blackberry Crumble Latte — this was super delicious — it was the perfect amount of strong with the blackberry flavors being nice and pronounced; definitely became one of my favorite beverages! There were some tables outside on the wrap-​around porch to enjoy your treats al fresco. This was a great little gem of a find, and I highly recommend in stopping by! :D

My husband got me half dozen cupcakes from this place this past Friday. I hate to say it but the cupcakes taste awful! The cake is so dry and the topping is hard, all the flavor tastes the same. Even the grocery store cupcakes taste better than this place. Please don’t waste your money and go somewhere else.

Delicious cupcakes and really great lunch sandwiches and soups. They have a cute front porch where you can sit outside and eat. The food is homemade and very fresh.

Amazing cupcakes, yummy food, amazing service and an awesome owner! I love Blondie’s they are my go to place for fast and great lunches. It’s wonderful to have places like this in Calvert

The salads and sandwiches were fresh and how they should be, but the cupcakes were stale and inedible. My sisters words were: «It tastes like it’s been sitting there for weeks.» Come on, this is a bakery…

Blondies made me the most delicious custom birthday cake– marble cake with raspberry filling and a Carmel crime frosting !
The filling was literally perfect and the frosting was surprising not overly sweet as expected. I definitely recommend stopping by when you need something special!
Also, they have a great lunch menu– short yet delicious. Try the salad and leave room for the giant delicious cookies
Customer service is also AWESOME.

Best bakery in Calvert St Mary’s counties. Cindy the owner is helpful and has great ideas to make your cake or cupcakes special for your event. VS her old location at Chesapeake beach this one is much more larger and she has added a café menu. Many unusual cupcake flavors.

Love this place! I have ordered a number of cakes from them! I enjoy dropping by as much as I can just to enjoy a cupcake and lunch! Their breakfast pastries are always good. The staff is always very nice and helpful and Cindy is always in the back working on another masterpiece.

Stopped by to pick up dinner after a appointment next door. First visit to Blondies ever. Never got around to going to old location. Ordered 2 sandwiches and biscotti. Got the Blonde Bombshell and the SOS sanwich. These were HUGE sandwiches, loaded with what tasted like fresh poached chicken breasts and great quality deli meats. We especially enjoyed the wheat bread. For sandwices, we usually go to Panera, but Blondies is far superior, at pretty much same prices. Not sure I would want to eat in the communal dining room, but you can’t go wrong with carryout. Would recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you have time constraints, as it took 10 – 15 minutes for my order late in day. Looking forward to trying more items. Hope the soups and salads are as good as the sandwiches. Biscotti’s were great too. Happy to find another food place in Calvert.

Really a small and lovely find in downtown Prince Fredrick! Nestled into Victorian styled office house (!) the bakery served lovely lunch options. Salads, sandwiches. And of course cup cakes and scones and more.
Seating area is two smaller rooms that fit the ambiance of casual relaxing.
Very eager to return.

Take the croissant.
It is a CRIME if you do not try one warm and absolutely plain. In the morning with strong coffee.
You have never had a true croissant. Trust me unless you have been to a five star hotel with a chef named Francois. No BS.
I also had a slice of Heaven in the form of a Blueberry Muffin.
I cannot wait to try insulin as I savor all the confectionary delights here.
Experienced pastry chefs are a true rarity and must be enjoyed. There is true love in this food.
Coffee is better than Starbucks not even close. Enjoy!
