I’ve used the pool for swimming lessons for my baby as well as swimming laps solo. First impressions: the parking lot is weird. I don’t know what their limitations were when it was built, but it’s awkward. Once you get in the building, the front desk staff is consistently nice and professional. The locker rooms are standard– you might feel slightly icky walking around. Bring sandals. The showers always have hair built up but at least the water is hot! As a former competitive swimmer, there are definitely worse locker rooms out there. The pool is big and beautiful. Very bright. The therapy pool is pleasantly warm, and the hot tub is nice and toasty. There might appear to be tons of swimming space but the pool is used by several groups and the lanes are often occupied for hours. Call ahead and also confirm at the front desk. Fun overall, and so nice to have this facility in Calvert county.
