My son was enrolled at West Windsor Day school from 10 weeks to 23.75 months. We moved, so we sadly had to change schools recently. I really didn’t realize how good we had it with West Windsor until his experience with his new school. The staff at West Windsor are spectacular, particularly Doris, Melissa and Tammi(Tammy?) who work with infants and toddlers. My son loved this daycare so much that saying goodbye to me or my husband in the morning was no big deal. It was, «Buh-Bye Mama, I play!» Every. Single. Day. In the afternoon I had to physically pick him up protesting to be able to leave; he loved being there so much he wanted to stay! He always wanted to stay to play just a little more or show me one more toy. Romina(teacher and director) and the other staff were ALWAYS willing to work with us on everything. During our time there we had two family pets die. Even though my son was only enrolled four days a week, during both weeks in which we lost our pets they took him for five days with no extra charge. The staff called to check on him when he was late for school or sick. They didn’t hesitate to let me know anytime he had any illness symptoms or any rough points during the day. They never sent him home unnecessarily when sick. They were really helpful at catching ear infection symptoms before they became too painful for my little man. You cannot beat the tuition at this center either. We had a limited budget and looked at a LOT of centers before making our decisions. This is not a case of you get what you pay for. We got SOMUCHMORE than we paid for with West Windsor. His tuition at his new school is nearly twice what we paid at West Windsor and his new daycare doesn’t come close to matching the level of care he received at West Windsor. It isn’t fancy like some of the other centers in the area, but you really can’t beat the love, consideration and care the teachers always showed my son and my family. When looking for a center, sometimes it’s hard to remember to look beyond the extras like sign language or electronic toys or fancy facilities or complicated curricula. It’s about the kind of care your child receives. Bottom Line: I never had to worry about my child when he was at West Windsor. He was being cared for by his teachers as though he was their own child. That’s what matters. Had we not moved 1.5 hours away he would still be at West Windsor. It’s that good.
