One of my favorite places on campus. It’s a little pricy, but at least you know you get 100% organic, high-quality food, mostly locally sourced. They only have sandwiches and pizzas(plus a few packaged items like sushi) but I guess that’s what students seem. Too bad it’s only open till 8 pm now.

Café Viv is located in the campus student centre — and while I’ve studied here plenty(it has atmospheric lighting and jazz in the background), I’d never eaten here until last week. The food has a decidedly hipster flair; the menu tries very hard to be congruent with whatever the dominant culinary/health trend is… though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I had a rather mediocre pizza here, though that is at least in part my own fault, for there was a much more delicious looking falafel plate that I skipped over. In any case, this place will do in a pinch, if you happen to be in Frist and aren’t willing to walk to the Street for a meal.

What a cool little café to have inside a student center! Way better than the bigger cafeteria downstairs. Very vegan-friendly, and there’s even live music at night! The staff were friendly and chatty. The Princeton students were friendly too. I love that Café Vivian had vegan chicken salad, vegan tuna salad, cheese-free pizza, vegetable sushi, and even cartons of soy milk!
