I have tried many local massage therapist in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. By far, this was the worse experience I ever had. I asked Wachena repeatedly to «ease up» and finally told her«you are hurting me» to her disdain, she replied«Oh you want a fluffy back run not a real massage» — NO I don’t want to be hurt and she was not receptive to my request. I consulted another massage therapist and she assured me that if a client ever complained about the pressure being used that the MT should not be applying too much pressure to the point of inflicting pain. You can try to discredit my experience with Wachena but I was there and you were not. Be warned, she is rough and won’t listen to your needs. Never again.

Excellent for deep tissue/sports massage, among the best my husband & I’ve had. She’s very friendly & personable.

Wachena is excellent!!! I initially started going to her from a deal on Groupon and yes it was difficult to schedule at first but she has opened up a lot of spots and I have never had an issue since then. I have never been a person to consistently get massages, I would just an occasional groupon to use, but I have been getting massages there since March 2014. I have never had a bad experience. She knows what she’s doing and personalizes every session to make sure you get what you want & need.

Wachena took me to church. Seriously, I felt like I had just had a religious experience. I feel a little dizzy. I’ve seen the err of my ways and need to get back in to see her more regularly. This is my second massage with Wachena. I was heartbroken that she was booked all summer, but I just didn’t want to see anyone else. She makes it hurt just right. Please note that all of those bad reviews are from people who are just sore because they didn’t get massages.

I received a deep tissue massage to help relieve upper back tension and IT issues associated with running(though I was told this was due to too much sitting!). Wachena is very, very talented massage therapist who knows how to tailor the massage to your trouble spots. In addition, she is very friendly and easy to talk to. I am looking forward to my next visit!

This massage therapist obviously thinks she will survive quite well on a private clientele because you can’t book an appointment until November in July. Good luck! I just don’t think she should advertise or even have a website. Nobody is worth waiting 4 months for.

I took a chance a few months ago and bought a Groupon for 3 massages. Went to book online and noticed that the calendar automatically went to AUGUST(my Groupon was due to expire in June). I called and spoke to a woman who said she was the answering service and you can only book online. I asked if there indeed were no appointments until August and she told me that was correct. Needless to say I contacted Groupon and got a refund. The kicker? Massage by Wachena was being offered AGAIN on Groupon that day. It seems to me that if you’re one person and booked up solid for 4MONTHS in advance you shouldn’t be offering more deals that you cannot fulfill.

I saw this place with phenomenal reviews on that they use for appointments and testimonials on their own website. I saw a Groupon deal and thought it’d be a great chance to try it out. After I purchase my Groupon for 3 massages, I realize that they are booked up completely until July. Basically, you can’t get an appointment for anything urgent. Not sure why businesses keep offering Groupons or welcome deals when they can’t handle the load of customers. Nobody will come back if they can’t get a timely appointment. Needless to say, I asked Groupon for a refund. As bad as chain massage parlors are, you can usually get some last minute appointments for acute issues like if you need to get some knots out.
