Service is hit or miss when you come. If you eat late in the evening, you will have to wait a little bit on service. The food is good and worth the wait. Relaxed atmosphere and the waitresses are great at remembering repeat customers, so you feel welcome each time you come. :)

Great Value for the money ! Traveling through the area on business. This was my first time an I plan to come back when in the area. Location: convenient, right off the Highway. Dinner type interior, simple and unique with fun-to-read sign above the register. My favorite, «We will always be best friends, because you know too much.» Food: tried the Supreme Omelet without the sauce, two pancakes, coffee and hash browns(cut fresh everyday). Everything was hot, fresh and delicious ! Service: friendly, attentive and professional. I was so pleased with her service that I gave her a $ 5 tip on an $ 11 bill. If I didn’t have the pancakes(extra) my bill would have been $ 9 Host/Checkout: friendly and engaging(also very cute). Lots a good food for a great price. Summary: Great Food, Service, Location and all at a great price !

Lots of food for a low price. Had the supreme omelet. Only complaint is that the cook scrambled the eggs so long they were too fluffy. No flavor or texture but all the stuff inside the omelet was real good. Wifey had this concoction with hash browns with lots of stuff on them, sausage gravy, cheese, onions all sorts of goodies. Good food great people. Like I said similar to waffle house only cleaner… much cleaner. Loved the chili on the omelet

Is it possible to find a place worse than the Waffle House? We found it in the Omelet Spot. We stopped here at 1am after a long drive and the place smelled like throw-up. The food was greasy and the bathroom was worse than one you’d find at McDonald’s. The service was great, but as poor as our food was we couldn’t help but eat a few smile bites, pay for our meal and get back on the road. On the other hand, if you love Waffle House, McDonald’s, etc, you’ll probably love this place, too. Fortunately, we prefer better quality. Even a Cracker Barrel is several grades better than this. But, there’s a tremendous amount of value here, that you can’t argue.

Wonderful café in an remade waffle house. Décor and food is upscale but same welcoming and speedy service. Kind of hidden behind Starbucks so don’t miss it.

Since I was visiting my home town I decided to stop by my favorite greasy spoon. The food during the day was never good, but you couldn’t beat it after a night of drinking. Gert was waitress that was a local celeberty finally retired. I had a decent breakfast of eggs and bacon. The service was as expected, and food better than I remembered.

The biscuit and gravy is so good. It is hard to get, they only make so much and once it is gone… sorry dude. But if you can get it, get it. Like a previous review said what is bad about a biscuit split buttered and fried on the grill top and then smothered(generously) with the best sausage gravy in town. And we have tried about five different gravies in the area. Hands down it’s the Spot. I also like the club sandwich and of course the OS Burger. Get the onions grilled instead of raw, so good. And sit at the bar. Sure you can’t hear over the dish washer sometimes but it’s so much fun. I am also a big fan of watching the cooks prepare my meal. And you can do that at the bar. Give it a try. Good old greasy diner food. Yum!

Once a year our scout group from North Carolina takes a ski trip to West Virginia. Each year we stop here on Sunday before we return home. The service is fast and very friendly, the food is good and fairly priced. We will certainly return.

Omelet Spot is a Princetonian classic. Locals and drunks alike gather here 24⁄7. I love the atmosphere, the type of people that gather here, and the menu. Plain and simple… get the OS burger, you can’t go wrong. The prices are extremely cheap. Compared to a waffle house, i-hop, omelet shoppe, etc… I would pick Omelet Spot everytime. P. S. If you are lucky you will be served by Gertie. She’s a German waitress that has been serving at least 30+ years at the same location.

Hash brownes were of the dehydrated type and bacon was thin and small. Also one of my sunny side up eggs were served broken… I will not eat here again…

One of the better biscuit and sausage gravy dishes I’ve had. Better than the Amber restaurant in Knoxville, of which, I’m a huge fan. The chef splits the biscuit in two and grills it in butter. We’re off to a great start. The gravy is filled with crispy, chunks of breakfast sausage. It’s thick, well seasoned and not too greasy, as opposed to the bland, cement glop you usually get served in most other places in the Contiguous 48. I asked for my scrambled eggs soft they were delivered as such. The kielbasa was crispy, hot and well made. No mystery bits. On top of all this, the staff is extremely polite and you get to eavesdrop on stereotypical diner banter between staff and customer. Omelet Spot is a pretty cool place.
