Attractive place, helpful service, and very solid food. The menu is creative and has both traditional and modern options. Specials look fun. My pear salad with chicken was well designed and pretty well executed. Only downsides were overcooking the chicken a bit, and cutting the breast into thirds instead of smaller pieces. Nice beer choices. I will go again when I am nearby.

Amazing place. Me and my friend stopped by during our travel on I-80 and were very pleased with service, quality of food, and design of this place. The design is simple but very sharp and has strong spoon associations ;) Everything we ordered was delicious! Avocado fries is a «must try» unique dish, which you might not find in other places. Strongly recommend!

Best new restaurant! The avocado fries are super yummy!!! It’s totally reclaimed as a super fun restaurant. They kept the old cool things and added a fresh approach. The menu has something for everyone. Yummy!

I had the special last night. It was honey mustard glazed pork shank with asparagus and mashed sweet potatoes. The pork was so tender and rich in flavor and the asparagus and sweet potatoes were a great compliment to the pork. One more example at a great new restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere.

Went for lunch today with 2 other friends. Each had something different; hamburger, ham & cheese sandwich & I had the chicken wrap! All of us were very satisfied with our food & we were very full. Service was excellent, loved the atmosphere & the bar area was well stocked. Looking forward to our next visit!

I arrived around noon on Friday with a party of 4. The décor and atmosphere of Spoons is great. The wait staff could use more training. The tall chairs at the tables are uncomfortable. Something that stuck out as unusual was the guy in the chef’s jacket was out in the restaurant more than he was in the kitchen. He paced around the dining room and even changed one of the barrels of beer behind the bar. Needless to say, our food took 30 minutes to reach our table. Our order wasn’t complicated, a pulled pork sandwich, pork chop, chicken wrap and an open ham and cheese sandwich. The fries were luke warm, and obviously sat in the window long enough to cool down before getting to us.

Pinch me! Sitting at a table in the front… looking out the window at snow falling… eating delicious salmon… drinking great wine! Oh and that dessert, yum. So good and minutes from home! Thank you Spoons!

I went for lunch with some friends and we were quite impressed. First of all, the décor and atmosphere was done very well. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. One of my favorite dishes was the avocado fries on the appetizer list. They were amazing. Another favorite from our table was the chicken and pear salad which had a very tasty vinaigrette dressing. On the dessert option, I would definitely go with the chocolate ganache! It tasted like a giant peanut butter cup. The menu is a little small, but we all felt that there were a variety of options and they had a special of the day. Also, the staff informed us that they are getting ready to roll out their dinner menu which will have more options as well. I was not turned off by a lack of kids menu and my kids(ages 10 – 14) would easily have been able eat there, even with one on the pickier side. Will definitely be back!

Walking into Spoons, I immediately loved the atmosphere: an array of wood, a plane hanging from the ceiling, spoons everywhere, and all sorts of antique Princeton items. It truly was like walking into an old fashioned diner while also feeling very modern and updated. We started off with fried avocados for our appetizer, which was fantastic. The waiter was also very timely and attentive to our needs. I, then, had a cheeseburger, which was cooked very well! Finally, I had the chocolate mouse for desert which was amazing! I was very pleased by the overall turnout of this restaurant, and while it’s just getting started, it looks like it has a promising future! Spoons is a great addition to Princeton’s dining scene and I would recommend it to anyone in the area!

This place is dynamite! Like many Princetonian’s I moved from our little town and always look forward to coming home for the Homestead weekend in September. This year we were lucky enough to have newly remodeled version of an old hang out. The cool décor and friendly service are what I have come accustomed to getting in Chicago and used to not getting in Princeton. Cannot wait to go back now that the kitchen is open to try what looked like a menu that caters to a refined palate.

They are new, I’m trying to remember that. The server gave the four of us the wrong drinks, wrong entrees, and wrong tickets. Maybe some more training? Double burger is frozen patties. Table next to us was asked to leave because they needed the table. Not yet a place for foodies.

Menu is very very small. Unfortunately there is not something for everyone due to the size of the menu. They do not have a child’s menu at all. The selection of sandwiches consists of 4. The selection of salads consists of 3. A table with 2 adults and 3 children were seated after us. My 20 year old daughter ask«what are they going to eat». We had the avocado fries. They were good. The bread crumbs could have been more seasoned. I found myself salting when I normally do not salt. They plated the«fries» on top of the sauce. I was not a big fan of the sauce. I would have liked it on the side instead. We have the double burgers. The flavor was good. I question the extra charge for the cheese. These are double burgers so a 6.50 burger is now 8.50 with 2 slices of cheese at a dollar a slice. We also ordered the tortilla soup. It was vegetarian which was not a problem it just was not noted on the menu. The soup lacked flavor. I don’t know if they used a veggie stock or water. Again I do not normally salt my food and I had to add salt twice. I will go back because they are so new.
