Remember, looks can be deceiving. This taco shack might not look like much from the outside, but the food is great! It doesn’t matter how long I’ve been out of town, this is(hands down) my very first stop when I visit Princeton. Everything is great, but my absolute favorite order is the Sancho with hot sauce, chips and cheese and a large vanilla Mt Dew. Or honestly anything to drink. I swear to god, the ice is strangely amazing. Taco salads, tacos, nacho poppas, nachos and cheese, and apple strips also top my list of favorites. This tex-mex location is definately a local favorite for a reason and once you try it, you’ll understand why! I highly recommend you give Taco a try and then let me know what you think!

The best taco place around!!! It can be a bit pricey but well worth it! I have a collection of Comeback cups! They are such a great idea! I am always excited to see what the new one is going to be! Plus they fill them for cheap! I alway get a vanilla mt. dew and before you say gross dont… its an absolute must try! I would say we probably eat at Taco T. twice a week. The food is amazing its always made fresh and the Fish sauce is awesome. We get it on everything.

Ok for $ 8 I shouldn’t be that harsh but c’mon you could put out tastier tacos. Ive had similar style fast food tacos at taco cabana in Georgia and y’all don’t hold a candle to taco cabana. Not terrible but not good either. I’ve now tried it.

My FAV taco place! I love the chips and cheese w cheese melted on top(ask for extra cheese), a Sancho(it’s a sweeter taco sauce) & a large diet vanilla Pepsi!

Taco Tierra is a local favorite for fast food. It is not authentic Mexican food, nor does it pretend to be. Some of my favorites are the fish tacos(Fridays), shrimp tacos(Tuesdays), sancho supreme, and chili dogs(seasonal).

Love their hard shell tacos. More like home style than fast food style. Always plenty of meat and toppings.

This place was a heck of local Tex-Mex treat! I was in town on business for a week, and indulged twice in a Sancho with Nacho Papas. The Sancho was a run of the mill, but tasty burrito on which I ordered some Kickass sauce. The salsa lived up to its name, giving my tongue a fiery yet flavorful kick. The Nacho Papas, essentially home fries covered with zesty nacho cheese sauce, hit the spot. They can be upgraded with more toppings, but I stuck to the basics. For dessert: a warm, crispy churro with a Bavarian cream center. A taste of fried heaven! I’ve heard comments on this place both positive and negative, but I say unto you, Taco Tierra is definitely worth a try. Be careful though, you may get addicted!

Definitely not Mexican food, but Taco Tierra is pretty decent. I’d say it’s about a half-step better than Taco Bell when it comes to quick, filling, and cheap Tex-Mex cuisine. I ordered the lunch special of a beef and bean burrito with hotter-than-hot sauce, a water, and a churro on the side. It was really good, really cheap(less than $ 6), and it totally hit the spot. If you think you’re getting Mexican food when you go here, you’re very very wrong; but, if you need a quick, cheap bite to eat in Princeton, go for Taco Tierra!

There does not appear to be a single Latino working in this Tex-Mex café. Don’t expect cloth covered tables, candle light, china, or silver ware. This is strictly a down home, home grown Tex-Mex done Southern Indiana style. Try the Sancho, or on Friday’s the fish tacos. Did I mention the price is right on too.

According to my contacts, Taco Tierra has a loyal almost cult-like following in Southwest Indiana and the beef«Sancho» is the primary object of that devotion. I’ve driven by the Princeton flagship location many times since it’s been there, maybe for thirty years, give or take, but I’ve never been temped to go inside before. So we finally gave it a try and called in an order for carryout from the drive-through. The Sancho contains taco meat, lettuce, cheese, wrapped in a soft shell. We tried the beef and chicken Sanchos with medium spicy sauce. For my taste, the chicken Sancho was the better choice. The beef Sancho is a very heavy meal with a not too subtle flavor. It’s a hefty wrap. We also had the cheesy nacho chips with sour cream and chives and that was fresh and tasty, if not exceptional. I’d rather not compare it to Qdoba nor to Taco Bell except to say that it’s on the same par for price and fast-food service, but it is also a unique experience. I can see the loyalty-inspiring appeal for the twenty-somethings as it’s a lot of taste and bulk for little dough. And they did get the order right and it was for six people. S’ok by me for fast food.

I actually prefer Taco Bell, but if you thought Taco Bell was cheap, try this place. The cheapest Mexican cuisine you will find. This establishment is very popular with the younger crowd.
