My experience with this place was extremely positive. I was looking for some hard-to-find items and didn’t really want to make a special trip to Whole Foods. The hardest part of eating healthy is that it’s expensive! This place was no different, but I was still surprised to see the prices on some items. No fault of Mazopiya, just the products. The store was clean and was«sunny,» the variety of foods available was great and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I only wish I had been able to find freeze-dried fruit!

So lucky to have this store near where we live. Great organic produce, probably our favorite reason for going there. t’s not a huge store but it packs a punch with a wide selection of healthy foods. We get organic milk there, bread(limited but tasty selection), produce of course, and pantry goods. They have a decent deli and a kitchen that makes a selection of hot foods daily, a soup/salad bar and juice bar. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I wish it were a little cheaper but you get what you pay for and that’s never more true than when buying grocery store items. My wife and I are undertaking to cut weird chemicals from our diets and«eat foods your great-grandmother could make or would recognize» and this place is a godsend.

This is a wonderful store for organic goods. The staff is very friendly and the Smoothie Bar is so good. I would recommend this store to anyone. It helps to shop a small store with excellent selections!

This place is a hidden gem! Organic, affordable food right in my backyard! The prices are pretty reasonable and the workers are super friendly. I love the juice bar and the pre-made convenience food for quick stops. Every time I’m there I pick up something new just to try. Haven’t been disappointed yet!

Mazo is just around the corner from me and I’m just now realizing how awesome it is. I can pick up the same items I do at a big box store like Cub, but they’re going to be healthier and nothing beats the service you get at small, locally owned stores. I especially love that if I forget something I don’t have to waste 30 minutes just driving. While I agree that their meat selection isn’t too great, I can’t find anything else to complain about. Their deli is amazing, serving a variety of healthy, freshly made dishes and their smoothies are to-die-for. My son loves buying fruits, veggies and yogurt to make his own smoothies though :) They also accept food stamps, which I thought was pretty awesome.

Offering Local, Natural, and Organic foods. During the summer they sell food grown in the community garden. They have salad and hot food bars, juice and smoothie bar, and a deli. The staff are helpful and friendly!

Considering that Mazopiya wasn’t yet on the Unilocal map, I can gather that it’s still somewhat of a hidden gem. We started visiting this organic/natural food store shortly after it opened. We were pleasantly surprised by just how much quality food they carry, despite their small size. Living in Shakopee can make it tough to find nearby organic food. We usually trot off to Whole Foods in Minneapolis or Valley Natural Foods in Burnsville. It was quite the hassle if we wanted something as simple as organic veggies or fruits to snack on. You can find nearly everything you want in this bite-size place. I am always surprised by just how much they seem to neatly fit into each corner. I would have to say that the meat section isn’t exactly overflowing, which is why we still choose to buy in ‘bulk’ at Whole Foods. Occasionally, we’ll grab their deli meat or some hot dogs/buns. The fruit section can be a bit on the pricey side, so we buy in smaller quantities or look for sales. Strangely enough their veggies are priced more reasonably than Whole Foods. We have yet to try the salad bar but it’s definitely reasonable and looks pretty yummy. I would recommend hitting their web-site to sign up for the newsletter. They have a nice ‘perk’ of a deal each week. In essence, we’ve found that Mazopiya is the perfect place to ‘stock up’ on foods and snacks in-between hitting the larger organic grocery stores. It’s just up the road from Shakopee, so the convenience is great. The place is clean/tidy and has a pleasant staff. There are plenty of samples and as far as I am aware, they put these out daily. I love coming here just to snack! To be honest, the samples have hooked me too many times to count… I still dream about those smoothies. Well done, Mazopiya. Well done.
