The food is good. I’ve ordered from this place countless times on Seamless, and delivery always takes AT LEAST 2 hours. Again, their food is good so there was a point where I’d actually brace myself to wait that long to receive it (and I don’t even live far); but right now I’m over it. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

Ordered from them 3 days in a row! Their food is amazing! Well seasoned and seems to be cooked with love lol. The first two orders I picked up … The third order was delivered. Delivery did take a while but my mom and I both agreed it was worth the wait.
I’ve ordered:
Red Velvet Waffle with fried chicken wings
Fried Chicken Breast & Wing with mac & cheese & collard greens
Baked chicken leg & thigh with candied yams & collard greens
Keep up the good work… I will buy from them again and refer everyone!

I’ve ordered from here twice and both times my order was missing something. I think the food is okay and edible, but the fact they take forever to deliver and don’t even take the time to double check your order to make sure everything is these detracts from whatever good they have. When I get my food, I want to eat it while it’s still hot, not wait around for the other half of my meal to be brought to me an hour later and eat it cold.
On a side note, the banana pudding leaves a lot to be desired. One sad slice of banana and two cookies. Bananas are cheap in the stores, people. Please don’t cheat a paying customer.

I had no idea this place existed even though it had been in the neighborhood for about a year. The food was delicious! A friend of mine brought me there to order and pick up our food in person. This is the best way to do it, because we tried to call ahead to see if it was open and nobody answered the phone. So we took a chance and walked over, sure enough, they were open. We waited about 20 minutes before our orders were ready (mind you the food was already prepared and it wasn’t that busy inside). That being said, 4 stars for the food, but giving it 3 stars for the wait.

Had the pleasure of a food delivery on 10÷3÷2015, and the delivery time was considerably shorter than before. This is very tasty and properly wrapped food. My tummy was saying yummy!

Oh Ma Gaw!!! I just had the Catfish Po boy and the Fried Pork Chops with collard greens and stuffing and Holy yumminess!!! Will order again. Great food in my neighborhood!!!

Iv been afraid to order delivery from this place, I know restaurants in the area, lived here long enough to know they are all notorious for taking forever and a day for delivery. Forever. I have a long standing joke that if you want soul food and/​or caribbean for dinner, better order it by noon. Anyway, to my pleasant surprise this week, I hit the food delivery lotto w this place. A friend & I were craving soul food. I phoned in my order at 9:30pm (they close at 10) and it was delivered by a nice young gentleman smelling delicious and hot, by 10:30pm. The food was slamming. We ordered:
1) The fried catfish dinner w yellow rice/​gravy & stuffing – (was missing the gravy, but my friend loved all of it anyway. I don’t eat catfish and he constantly talks about restaurants serving «lake trout” – not a good thing. This place was not that. He raved about the stuffing & catfish)
2) 2 order grits. (Made w butter, no cheese – This was my order, and i usually ask for cheese grits, but I forgot. It didn’t matter however bc them Grits was SLAMMIN.
3) side of mash & gravy. decent, I wasn’t crazy on the gravy
4) smothered chicken. The portion was generous, gave me 2 legs and a thigh. Again, I wasn’t crazy bout the gravy – but it was decent, I’m not sure why I ordered smothered, when I’m typically a BBQ chicken girl. I’m definitely tryin the bbq next time
4) side of yams & potato salad. EVERYTHING. The yams and potato salad were so damn good. I put away the potato salad bc I wanted to eat it later it was so damn good, later on when I went to eat it I found my friend got to it first and I was tight! The yams were delicious
They also threw in cornbread, which I wasn’t really a fan of. I like my cornbread light and cake-​like, these were cake-​like, but dense. Like when you buy those little packaged cakes at a bodega. He ate them though.
In sum: Whoever is cooking at Katie Os, can cook they ass off. Food was SLAMMIN. And I so very appreciate the quick delivery!

This place is consistently amazing. The catfish po boy is all im going to say! I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want to share this amazing food with anyone. But they deserve it. Plus the staff is so nice

After a little misunderstanding on the phone, I was a little wary of ordering from this place because I’m a stickler for customer service.
However then woman on the phone just explained she was a little overwhelmed it was a particularly busy Friday and she was understaffed. Having worked in food service my self, I was completely empathetic and decided to order my meal for pickup.
Now I had my reservations but she gave me an exact time frame for my food to be ready and she delivered on that promise.
Boy can she cook her butt off. My salmon cakes were perfectly fried, beautifully and delicately seasoned. The Mac and cheese was great (I prefer mines a little sharper) it was flavorful and on point. Last my collard greens (not vegetarian) and cornbread were perfect compliments.
To top it off, the banana pudding was the perfect southern sweet treat to end the meal.
I would definitely order from this place again, it’s nice to see other black owned restaurants in my quickly gentrifying neighborhood that are not Carribbean (big up my Trini massive).
I encourage everyone to give this place a try… Pick up your order though lol!!!

I haven’t even received my food yet and I rarely care enough to write a review but this place is ridiculous. I ordered my food before 1:30PM and it is 4PM now. When I called to ask what the issue was she told me that my food was in the kitchen now. Really? It takes 2 hours just to start cooking. Lesson learned… I will never order from here again.

Bad service and not trustable. Placed an order and they called and said they ran out of fries and if they could substitute something else. I said sure and picked Mac & cheese out of the list that they offered. A few mins later they called again and said they needed to charge more because Mac & cheese was more expensive. I said that was not fair. The woman had a shitty attitude and said if I didn’t like it, I could call grubhub myself to cancel the order. They actually don’t deserve half a star.

Really delicious food, wonderful service, and the banana pudding was heaven. I can’t speak for their delivery service, which apparently takes awhile, but the quality of food– the collard greens, the potato salad, the fried chicken– is all spot on.

I always drive and pick up my order so I’ve experienced great customer service. So far I’ve had the fried catfish, the turkey wings, the bbq chicken, and the pig feet! They were all pretty delicious! :) As for the sides. I enjoy the macaroni and cheese, yams, string beans and collard greens. I can’t lie I feel like the collard greens have been a little dry lately lol. But still good. Also if you’re as greedy as I am I recommend the banana pudding, it’s pretty good too.

Delicious Food… Especially the potato salad and the banana pudding… which are my FAVORITES… I knew I had to go to the hood to get my HOME COOKIN’, all the resturants in my area (Williamsburg) have ZERO soul in their food… And the woman behind the counter was so welcoming it made me want to eat the food even if it was nasty, and thank GOD is was absolutely yummy!
I will be back and I would def recommend them to all the people like me looking for some good soul food

Agree with everyone who has ordered take out from this place. HORRIBLE! When they first opened they were a lot better, now there is a minimum 3 hour wait for food, and you’re one of the lucky ones if they manage to get your order right.
If I had not checked food before hand my nephew would have had a severe allergic reaction to the mac and cheese they dumped on there. (That’s AFTER calling to say they did not have mashed potatoes and will sub for yams) Also subbed the type of meat without confirming.
Not worth the wait, they need to hire outside the family and get some competent people working there. That’s if they don’t tarnish their name in the neighborhood and fail horribly.
Again, if you’re planning for dinner, order by noon and hope someone with half a mind has the idea to check what they throw in the bag against what you actually ordered. Or save yourself the trouble and order from ANY WHERE ELSE!

Very unhappy with delivery service of this establishment. I placed an order at 2:48 through Grub Hub and at 4:30 I finally got in touch with the restaurant after an hour of trying, to be told my food just left. The restaurant called me at 3:00 to tell me they were out of French fries. This establishment is ready for modern technology.
I had to also put in a complaint to Grub Hub because of course their were mistakes with my order.

Katie O’s is the spot for southern style cooking that is number one in customer satisfaction. The portion size is well worth the money and the fried foods are well seasoned made to order. There is a wait, but my appetite was definitely satisfied when I got the food.
Ms. Katie O is the best. She’s normally the one to take your order and she gives the best customer service. If you want a sample of an item, it’s not a problem, just ask.
The décor is not the best, but the food makes up for it. This is my new craving on the weekends. My favorites are the 5 cheese Mac and cheese, candied yams, jerk ribs, and the banana pudding. I don’t know what they put in that pudding but I can’t leave without it. Lol you can ask for a sample of that too.
I’m glad Katie O’s has finally arrived. Way to go Katie O! See you Saturday.

Aside from being right around the corner from my house, this restaurant serves great traditional southern style comfort food.
I had the fried jumbo shrimp with Mac and cheese and candied yams and geez… AMAZEBALLS.
What I really love is the gracious entrees that have generous portion sizes which makes paying 15 for a meal completely worth it!
This is my new go-​to restaurant and as a pescetarian, it’s totally awesome!
