Johnny’s Original Pizza

I have been putting off ordering from here for a couple years. I decided to try it tonight… the girl that took my order was borderline rude and delivery took an hour and 10 minutes though they told me it’d be 30 min.
I got it and the food is cold. The chicken cheesesteak is not impressive (could be because I prefer shredded chicken, theirs is chunks) it could also be because it’s not hot… Pizza would be ok if it was hot, it’s not great at room temperature and the poppers are cold which renders them basically inedible :-/​
I did call to let them know. I’m not looking for anything free or discounted but believe they should know when something is this bad. The manager was nice (I was nice as well), and he offered to remake the food. I politely declined as it is 10 pm which is really already too late to be eating dinner, he then told me he’d note my address and the next time I order they’d give me a «Hefty» discount.
I don’t think I’m going to order again to take them up on that discount.

Very good pizza, the place is small but the slices are large and tasty. I stop here when i pass through the area. the people are friendly and you can’t beat the lunch special 2 slices and a soda for $ 3.99.On street parking can be a problem at times.

Time to give Johnny’s some love! This is my regular Italian Platter Stop during the week or on weekends when we don’t feel like cooking. We let Johnny cook for us! My favorites here are the Veal Scaloppini platter (real tender veal with mushrooms, peppers, the right touch of garlic) over a generous portion of spaghetti done perfectly with a generous amount of sauce (gravy). The spaghetti with meat sauce is also a go-​to for me. It is done Bolognese style and is a real Italian comfort food kind of meal. My wife loves Johnny’s Lasagna. She orders it almost every time! She also likes the Eggplant Parmesan almost as much. I’ve persuaded my Sons of AMVETS group to use Johnny’s as our meeting night food provider as well. We often get their Sicilian Pizzas, & various Stromboli items. Never any complaints from the guys! Tbey like Johnny’s the best! Johnny’s also does a great Mushroom-​Cheesesteak! & the burger platters are really good when a good old fashioned cheeseburger & fries is what your craving. New York Style Pizza is also great here. I prefer mine well done and Johnny does them just right! Great Crust and all around consistently good pizza. Can’t go wrong at Johnny’s!

Ok this is a good pizza place if you aren’t the spender. The pizza honestly isn’t that good. The pizza is really greasy and taste kind of cheap. If your dining in, they charge $ 1 for a refill! Now having other pizza places near by this wouldn’t be my first pick. I would rather spend the extra 3 bucks and go to cocos or double decker. But the only thing good here is probably the fries.

Best Pizza place in town! Not only is the pizza AMAZING but their Philly Cheesesteaks are da bomb! Better than those places in the city by a long shot! I prefer mine with grilled onions and mushrooms! Excellent!
They are a family owned and run business and the owner, John, is the friendliest Itallian you will ever meet! Lisa, is his wife, and only works on Fridays and if you ever get the opportunity meet this fabulous woman, she will make you feel at home with her warm smile and Philadelphia charm. The entire staff is warm and friendly and while your food is being prepared they will strike up a friendly conversation with you, by the next time you stop in its like you’re family. I love coming here and i travel all the way from Hawaii just to experience this fantastic place!
Prices are ridiculously inexpensive for the quality or food and service you get here and they even deliver!
This place truly is a landmark and is steeped in Itallian tradition and hospitality! Oh and I almost forgot… The calzones! You have to try their calzones! Ugh, to die for!

Do yourself a favor and order from Pizza hut or a chain that delivers within 30 minutes. Ordered a pizza, nothing else, and it took over an hour. Last time!

House Special Stromboli was delicious and loaded! Delivery was quick. We will definitely order again.

I just ate here with 25 Boy Scouts from Troop 139 in Bergenfield. Service, price and food was great! They have a 25″ pizza that’s unbelievable. Not a Philly Cheesesteak expert but I thought mine was very good. Sandwiches ordered by others looked very big and I was told delicious.
Stop by if you’re in the area, very pleased we did!

$ 3 for peperoni topping, a large…$ 16 total ! wow, wear a mask next time your robb people, place is dumpy for such high prices, sauce had no flavor

Originally from South Philly, it took us a while to find good pizza in Delco. Finally found some at Johnny’s! You must try the Holiday white pizza. Good food, good prices, nice people.

Ok, so I don’t usually give 5 stars for pizza, actually, come to think of it, I can be rather stingy with a perfect rating. I place needs to be mindblowing in food and service to get a perfect rating.
Johnny’s certainly met this standard. Yes, their order taker on the phone could use a little more polish, but the pizza is so damn good, it more than makes up for it.
I dunno what they put in that pizza… Crack? But it’s definitely addictive!
With two pizza shops on every block in this area, you really need something special to stand out from the others and Johnny’s certainly does.
Besides, where else are you going to get 2 delicious and a drink for $ 3 bucks?

I recently used them for catering and Johnny is a dream to work with! The food was amazing, the price was right and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be using them again!
