Be cautious before choosing this facility for boarding. I began boarding here Labor Day weekend and just moved out of concern for my horse’s welfare. When I decided to board at the facility there were fewer than 30 horses(still plenty). Upon arriving I was surprised to see that my horse was among 12 other horses moving in that weekend. The management did not verify that my horse had a current negative coggins test or was up to date immunizations. That was disconcerting but even more so when an additional dozen or so horses entered the facility over the next two months. According to management, as of last weekend they had 50 horses on the premises(approximately 30 on stall board and 20 on field board). The trouble is that this business really does not have the acreage or staff for this many horses. As a result there is now manure covering the fields and skin issues have become very common. Also, know that full board here is limited to turning in and out and feeding. As I moved in when it was still hot outside I did not think to ask whether they would assist with blanketing(frankly I just assumed since I have never been to a full-board facility that did not). If I lived closer it might not be as much of an issue for me.
