We are foodies from Phoenix. Had dinner here the other night and was not impressed. Cheese plate was ok. Flat bread lacked taste. Calamari was overcooked. Salad was the only high point. Main entrée of ribeye did not have much flavor. Wine o’clock remains our only prosser restaurant.

We have ate here a few times and have been to private catering functions that featured Picazo’s food. Excellent! Frank(owner/chef) is accessible and there to make the experience special. Mission accomplished. The Grilled Pork is the bomb. The atmosphere is stylish but casual. Drinks are bit spendy, order the wine instead — the selection is great. If you are looking for special occasion restaurant in area you will do well to stop in.

My husband and I were visiting the area from Seattle, where we eat lots of great food regularly, and we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices and the seafood pasta paella — it was so delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised by Picazo. I attended a wine-maker’s dinner on a Sunday when the restaurant is closed for regular business. Charlie Hoppes’ Fidelitas wines accompanied the five courses. Charlie spoke intermittently and was informative about the wines that were paired to each course. There was a special treat at the end of the dessert course– an ice wine made by chance one year. All very good, The courses were presented well and owner-chef Frank Magana introduced each individually to each table. My fave course was a duck confit and wild mushroom gnocchi— mmmm I could do that for comfort food !

Made it here for the first time in February ’09, but that was just for a drink and dessert. Finally made it here again for a light dinner. So, I called about making a 7pm reservation at around 5:15pm — yeah, yeah, I know. Very rookie move – shoulda called much earlier. They said they were totally booked at 7pm. It was only for two, but they were busy. Then they backed up, and said they could do 7:15. It was on. Made it there, and yes, the place was totally hoppin’! It’s so crazy to see a stylishly cool and trendy place like this in a small eastern Washington town. Ah, the magic of the wine industry! So, we were a little under the gun here. We only had till 8pm, so we went down to business. For drinks… I thought about wine, but then I saw that they sold Caipirinhas! This is the first time I’ve seen any place east of the Cascades make Caipirinhas!(well, other than me!). So, I had to get it. Ummm. it was alright. I expected heaven in a glass. I mean for $ 12.50(this is not a type-o), I expected a party in my mouth/belly! It was just a bit blah. They used brown sugar in it… maybe that’s the source of the«off-ness». Anyway, alls I know is I can make a better one, and I’d probably charge you a couple bucks… or give you one for free. Viva Brasil! :) The tapas were a different story. We went with the beef on skewers and the stuffed shrimp. Holy snap! They were soooooo yummy!!! My guest and I totally scarfed ‘em down. The seasoning of the meat and the accompanying salsa with each were perfection. So for my next visit… I think I need to try their entrees!

ok, cute. fancy…reminded me of Walla Walla… but the check reminded me of NYC! ridiculous amount for two drinks! When was the last time you spent 22 dollars on two martinis!!! lol… NYC. Not even complex ones at that… anyways…come with your wallet prepared to take a hit if you go here… i was not ready for that…

A gem in the little town of Prosser. A great spot to meet up with friends, have a glass of wine and a nice meal. Always a warm reception when you show up. The food is great, wine list is great and focuses on WA wines. I love to pop in after work, sit at the bar and chat with staff over a glass of wine and a small plate or two…

The nicest place in town. If you know Prosser — enough said. We ate her last night. Arrived early(5ish) and were the only ones in the place. Kind of creepy, but the server was very nice. I think you can bring your own bottle of wine here. We bought our bottle of Bombing Range Red from the wine list. I thought I saw others do it and I was going to ask, but after some bombing runs, I forgot! This is a small plate/large plate kind of menu. Paella is served for two.(might be three from out experience). We had some beef skewers, a cheese plate and a veggie paella. Meat was cooked very well, cheese selection was very good and paella was huge! Add in a bottle of wine and a shared sweet(Pear Tart) and you have a dinner of $ 100(tip included) with enough paella to keep me going today. Not cheap. Actually, expensive for this neck of the woods, but a great meal at a value compared to Seattle. Like I said, the food was all very good. Cooked very well. The only thing is that it all seemed to be just a little under-seasoned for my taste. Not bad and the flavors were right… just not enough of them. Could just be me and my preference. I will go here again with out hesitation and I did really enjoy the meal. I have been coming out to this area for work for a long time and have found nothing like Picazo 717. In Seattle it would be a solid place… in Prosser it is The Place.

Great wine selection and the tapas is mmmmmmmmm. Frank, the owner, takes great care in preparing a monthly menu and seems to always be available to suggest a good wine. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the service is perfection. If you’re in the area tasting wine its the perfect end to each day.
