I must say I was a little skeptical about this store after reading some not-​so-​good reviews from the east side store. However, I’m glad my conscience told me to go experience for myself to get an accurate view. Guess what, I’m so glad I did because this store is awesome!
I have never bought any jewelry from this store before albeit almost everyone has an arm length of bangles from there. Finally, I felt it’s time to support a local Rhode Island manufacturer so I stopped by this store by Johnson and Wales one Saturday and checked it out myself.
I was immediately greeted by Andra as I walked into the store and she was warm and friendly. She asked me if I have anything in mind and I told her I have never bought anything from here, first time to the store and just wanted to browse around. She gave me the space, with no pressure, and just let me walk around the store on my own for awhile (which I really appreciate). I walked from one display case to another and finally had my heart set on 2 bangles I really like. Andra was within sight and she was basically on standby to help me. I asked her the price and she knew the price off the top of her head but she also explained the specific charity that the bangle was contributing to. She obviously knew her stuff.
She rang me up when I was ready and she packaged all the bangles perfectly in a box. She took the time to explain the bangles should not get wet, and I should clean them every 6 months or so with a damped towel. Most importantly, if any of the charms falls off or I have problem with the bangle, Alex & Ani will take the bangles back and will fix them for free under warranty (within 1 year).
My skepticism and hesitation of this store totally vanished after my pleasant experience. I will totally recommend everyone to come here and support local RI manufacturer.
