Caught CW in Kennedy Plaza this afternoon. Ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was made so quickly! I appreciated that it was wrapped up well enough to be portable and was not a messy sandwich to eat and walk with. Batter was perfect crispy deliciousness! Nothing on the menu is more than $ 8.75. You can add fries to a sandwich for $ 1! With prices like that I will be be back. P. S. They can take a credit card wooo!

Literally everything about this truck is amazing. From foolproof brined wings, rosemary hot wings, ANDPOUTAINE! I’ve died and went to heaven. Five stars all day everyday.

Absolutely incredible. Ordered the poutine and it does not get any better than that. Went back to try the Rosemary Hot wings. Also delicious and may possibly be the best wings in Providence.

One of the more less than desirable food trucks in the are of Providence. The chicken tenders looked unappealing and they tasted like they had been in a wash of bad buttermilk. It had a distinctive smell that I wasn’t able to shake for a few hours and the taste was like day old milk. I am sure they tried their best but it was not a very good experience on my part. The concept is out of the box but I guess I’m a traditionalist when it comes to street food and wings in my opinion are more bar fare than street fare. Nice try but go back to the drawing board IMHO.

I was at the iron pour at the steelyard in providence last week. Saw this truck. These wings were the best I’ve ever had. Soo good and such a delicious flavor. Mango jerk is no joke.

While I like their concept they seem to be unstructured with their menu. While I like their wings, the hottest sauce I had was one dimensional, just hot and the wings were not seasoned or brined in some way before cooking so I really didn’t get that chicken flavor and unfortunately one or two were a bit on the pink side. Lastly, I want to eat their but over all offerings are not grabbing my taste buds

A chicken wing food truck. Awesome concept. Locally sourced ingredients… always a plus. Hand cut fries brining in buckets before your very eyes. Unfortunately — the wings fall flat. First thing is first. The wings are breaded. Normally that’s not just a strike, but a high pop up that’s easily grabbed by the catcher. I went for it anyhow… And when I say go for it — I went for broke grabbing one order of each type of wing AND and order of the buttermilk tenders. First — aside from the breading — I love the idea that their wings are brined in Foolproof beer. But the end result didn’t produce the flavor I was hoping for. The good — their rosemary hot. It was very tasty… Almost craveable. Also good — the buttermilk tenders. If I find myself near this truck again — tenders with rosemary hot. That simple. But the other flavor I tried all missed the mark. The bad — cilantro habanero. I’m not the works biggest cilantro fan — but these tasted like straight up lawn clippings. BBQ, hot, ghost — all just meh. Nothing I would enjoy again. 3 stars for idea, and the rosemary hot.

Most amazing food I’ve had in a long time! Everything is organic and fresh and homemade. If you’ve had a few drinks the best dish to get is the chicken and waffles. It may sound different but they put jalapeño in the waffles and the little side that looks like butter is actually a homemade cheddar Icecream?! Awesome!

So I finally got a chance to try this place and was not disappointed at all! Hey have a nice selection of sauces to choose from as well as other snacks. I tried the mango jerk flavor and it was great. I can’t wait to hunt them down again and try another flavor. My coworkers that choose other options really enjoyed theirs as well. Not to mention the amazing looking bacon brownie! Wish I had ordered that too.

I was looking forward to trying out Citizen Wing so when I heard they were in the neighborhood, I got some to go. I had the IPA brined smoked peach wings. The flavor of the wings was okay but like another review, the skin was not crispy at all. The fat was not rendered and it was just, flabby. At first I thought maybe the texture was because they were to-go, but I live less than a mile away from where they were so I think it’s just how they are. Sorry, but when the namesake of your truck doesn’t meet my expectations, I’m not going back for a second try.

I love this new food truck! I love that they use local ingredients, and they offer something different. I had the poutine and the pork schnitzel sandwich… DELICIOUS. The fries are hand cut and just the way a french fry lover like myself would want them. The sandwich had the perfect crunch and perfect amount of delicious aioli. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which he ate like a sandwich. Buttermilk fried chicken over a jalapeño-cumin waffle w/aged cheddar ice cream and lemon-thyme chicken gravy. Who does that? They do, and we loved it. It was tough to get a bite from him! I am following them on twitter so I can find them again. I plan on trying everything on the menu.

I love the food truck scene developing in providence. Citizen Wing is new but is my absolute favorite! Fresh local ingredients from local farms in the area. They even use Wrights Farm cheese curds on their delicious poutine! I have yet to try everything on the menu but I plan on it. I highly recommend the pork snitzel sandwich!

Walking near Thayer last week, we spotted the Citizen Wing truck and decided to give it a try. Since it was our first visit to Citizen Wing, we tried a variety of items on the menu since they were the new truck on the block. First, their namesake wings were delicious. Very tender, crispy and the sauce was flavorful. The exact way I would expect a wing from a high-end restaurant. Next up we tried the poutine. Within the first bite, I had flashbacks to my recent trip to Canada. Very authentic and not the American gravy-fry knock off. It’s a must-have side for the wings or sandwiches. Third, I tried the amazing chicken and waffles. The chicken was a nice sized breast, fried until very crispy, which compliments the soft, fresh Belgian waffles perfectly. Lastly, and my favorite, was the pork schnitzel sandwich. This beautifully prepared sandwich, with it’s fried pork and crisp toppings, made me immediately want more. Aside from the food, the staff/owners were so nice and friendly and were happy to explain the menu items to us. I would absolutely recommended Citizen Wing to anyone who is looking for good food.

I love the idea of this truck — gourmet chicken wings, however, for me, it fell flat in some areas. Don’t get me wrong, everything tasted fresh, clean, and it’s sourced by local ingredients. Prices are reasonable too. The entrée menu looks great, though I did not try this time around, thus I can’t comment on those items, though the Chicken n’ waffles sound like a great idea. I had the habanero cilantro wings and a poutine. Poutine was good, there was huge chunks of cheese curds but the lemon gravy was needing a bit more salt for it to shine. For a truck headlining with concept gourmet wings, it was a bit below average.(To give them the benefit of doubt, this may be an isolated incident as it was my first time trying them out.) The sauce was wonderful, but the wings were lacking that«je né sais quoi» one looks for when you think chicken wings — crisp seasoned skin and flavorful chicken meat. Or even a baked wing with a caramelized roasted skin(think Providence Coal Fired Pizza’s wings). My wings appeared to have been steamed or boiled, thus leaving them with a rubbery soft exterior and almost bland chicken meat. It was missing that contrast of sauciness and crispiness I look for in a wing. They have fryers on premises, it would not hurt to take their parboiled chicken and dropped it into the fryer for a few minutes. Also, to generate business, I would like them to create a challenge wing — like ghost pepper sauce wing. Overall, I like the concept Citizen Wing has, fresh locally-sourced ingredients. I just was not a fan of their signature headlining dish — Chicken Wings. I’m willing to give them another shot, if the wings improve.
