I just purchased a 1964 Allied Seabreeze 35 sailboat and needed to repair 4 fixed portholes(window frames). There was no business local to Cape Cod that did refinishing of bronze frames. I found D&D Chrome Plating located on Dexter St in Providence. On Monday, I brought the porthole frames to D&D Chrome Plating and met with the owner, David Habershaw. He gave me a price and said that they would be completed by Friday midday. Friday morning @ 8am I received a voice-mail from David indicating that my porthole frames were ready for pickup earlier than promised! I was not able to get there until Friday late afternoon. The porthole frames looked exceptional — truly a professional job! Each porthole frame side was wrapped in protective paper and boxed ready for my pickup. I walked away impressed by a job that was done as discussed AND was completed before the scheduled time! David did not wait for me to pickup my porthole frames — he took the time to call me as soon as they were ready! Anyone who needs something plated, refinished and done to a showcase level should get their work done @ D&D Chrome Plating! David is an exceptional, honest and caring man who takes pride in his work & stands by his word!
