Dr. Shapiro’s office is very professional and she and her team are dedicated to taking the very best care of their patients and providing the next level of patient/​client care through expanded services. I decided to have a cosmetic Botox procedure done with Dr. Shapiro. I must say I am thrilled with the results. The procedure itself was painless and easy. She made certain I understood the procedure and that all my questions were thoughtfully answered. Thank you Dr. Shapiro for your excellent service!

I’ve done a bunch of restaurant reviews, but this is my first review for a professional service. And professional it (she) is. I first came to Dr. Shapiro in 2001 when my primary dentist wanted to extract 4 wisdom teeth that were hard for me to clean well. I asked for options, and I was referred to Dr. Shapiro for a second opinion. She actually recommended a different solution, ‘pocket reduction surgery”, and I still have the teeth! I’ve been back in that office every 6 months since then
This week, 12 years later, I needed a gum graft from over-​zealous electric toothbrush brushing. After reading horror stories on the internet, I was a tad anxious. She did everything possible to assure me the stories were dated and old, that she used a different technique, and I’d be fine.
She was right. No pain (thanks novocaine!), and very little discomfort after. This is a wonderful periodontist who spends a lot of effort helping maintain her work on you, but is equally wonderful, and skilled when you need a procedure/​intervention. Her ‘bedside manner’ is also a big plus!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. Happy for the past 12 years! (Now wondering if I should throw away the electric toothbrush, though!)

I just switched to Dr Shapiro for my primary dental care after being referred to her by another dentist. Dr Shapiro is friendly, knowledgeable, intuitive and thoughtful. I’ve had some issues with hot and cold sensitivity for the past few years. My old dentist couldn’t seem to pinpoint what the issue was as it got progressively worse. I mentioned it off hand to Dr Shapiro –even though my visit was for something completely unrelated — and she took the time to examine and find out what the problem was. Impressed. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and talkative. One of the biggest pluses, however, is that I haven’t had to wait the traditional 15 – 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. All of my appointments have been prompt — important when you are using your lunch break to to take care of some tooth business.
