Where do I park? I’ve never been here before. Well, there is plenty of parking starting with curb side and you can also park in the back but there are no lines which becomes a free for all. It’s a small place, like a dive bar but a little better. They have a small stage for live bands which is pretty cool and a DJ booth for those other nights I’m guessing. I showed up to metal night and the bands started late waiting for a bigger crowd which did happen after an hour I was there. It wasn’t a bad experience. Drinks are cheap there and the bartenders pour it heavy. I’d definitely go back for another metal night.

I’ve only been here for Soul Power(no shows). Great little intimate club. I like that there are lots of places to sit and take a rest, including outdoors in the winter months. The sound system is good as is the projection(one the dance floor and behind the bar). Drinks are competently made and the staff are always pleasant. Love that people dress to the nines for the occasion. Glad to have found a stellar dance night in my new home town– now if it was once a week, instead of once a month.

Staff was exceptionally nice and it had abundant parking but once inside I was hit with a overpowering smell of mold. The bar took up half the place and the stage a forth leaving very little room to mingle or dance. Spent a lot of time getting bumped into and fighting the crowd just to get to the bar.

95% of the time I come here, it’s for a show. Specifically, a metal show. And anyone whose ever been to a metal show knows that there’s an exponentially high success rate of it being ruined by some geek behind a sound board that’s clueless on how to mix anything that doesn’t sound like Lucero. Thankfully, the staff here gets it, and it always sounds killer. They also manage to land some real-deal underground acts that you’d have to otherwise travel to St. Vitus in Brooklyn to see. The space itself is extremely comfortable, with dim lighting and good seating. The horseshoe bar is huge so there’s no cramming against people like it’s the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, and the bartenders are good at mixing drinks and a pleasure to talk to. It gets a reputation(and not wrongly so) for filling the void since Club Hell has departed. It definitely caters to the punk and metal crowd of Providence, but don’t let that intimidate you if you’ve never been to a metal bar. I promise you everyone here is friendly and in good spirits, even the guy in the studded vest with a billion Burzum patches on it.

This place was terrible! Horrible drinks and the music was awful! As an out of state resident, I would not consider this place a club at all!

What a gem! Finally some awesome bands and good crowds! I was introduced to Way Out here last week and now I am a huge fan. I liked the vibe of the bar, a little gritty, great lighting and pretty decent sound for a small place. I felt like I was back in LA at a dive bar in Hollywood. I will be here again.

Dusk is winning the place in my heart that has been empty since the departure of places like jerkys and club hell, where punk, rockabilly, and random other acts would play when they rolled through town. Dusk is now welcoming these acts as well as some favorite local nights here. Dusk is dark, which I don’t mind, there is plenty of seating at the bar as well as some two tops to the side of it next to the windows. There is also a funky back room where you can lounge on the couches or buy merch depending on the set up of the show. Sometimes I wish the dance/viewing floor was a bit larger often feels you are packed in on one another and unable to get a clear view or get down properly to the dj or band. Drinks are not outrageously priced, and will be served to you in a glass, which really makes me feel like they trust me as an adult to not drop their glass or lob it at someone’s head(I have seen this happen at several Pvd bars). Keep on doing what you’re doing dusk, but maybe with some extra rolls of toilet paper in the ladies room… you often run out on awesome nights.

Awesome night club. The feel inside is a bit on the goth side; lots of candles, red accents, and skull wallpaper which was awesome. It was clean and had a well stocked bar. The bartenders were very attentive. Will definitely go again.

I really wish we came here earlier. We strolled in at about 145am for 15 more minutes of drinking. The DJ was still spinning some nice hip hop dance beats. The bartenders were hot tattooed dime pieces. They’ve also got a few couches you can lounge on on the partitioned sidewalk.

If you like big places don’t come here it’s a smaller more intimate kind of place but dusk is a Cool place, definitely a hipster club, I came in they had a fund raiser going on, they had a raffle, and puppet cock fights and dancing girls with rabbit ears shape dancing… Drinks aren’t to expensive like 7 bucks but I don’t really know how much drinks cost at bars because I don’t really ever drink at bars, fun music, well mixed, rock, rap, techno, etc… if you like small and different come to dusk

Spent my first night at Dusk yesterday, what a great place! The bartenders are so nice and really quick, the bar itself is beautiful and comfortable. The velvety couches and chairs give it a cozy, coffeehouse feeling, while maintaining the dark, sexy atmosphere you’d expect, and want, from a place like this. All in all, a great experience at a fantastic place, glad I finally got there and can’t wait to go back!

Dusk is a hybrid dance/metal club on Harris Ave popular with the 20-something hipster set, among others. I haven’t seen that combination since I used to hang out at Fibber McGee’s in Dublin in the early 90s(yes, I’m old. GFY). The space inside is dark and beautiful. It’s a larger space, but the bar takes up huge area making it feel crowded with only 40 people or so. I think this is what you want for a club. Unlike going to have a quiet drink with friends at The Avery, you don’t want to go out to dance or see live music and feel like you’re in an empty room. The bartenders open a can of ‘Gansett here just as well as anywhere, but for those into fancy-lad cocktails, I hear they’re pretty good. Whenever I’ve been to dusk there was an event going on. Sometimes it was a DJ, sometimes it was live music, sometimes it was a party. I’m not sure if there are times when nothing is going on, and not sure if its the best place if you’re looking to be able to talk with your friends. But if you’re into dancing and/or rocking out, it seems like it’s the new place to go.

This bar is off the beaten path and unexpected when you step inside. One of those places where I am grateful there is no longer smoking in bars. Gorgeous and simple décor. When Neda tends bar, be sure to ask what’s she’s making that night. She does an outstanding job. The way she describes her drinks and use of passionate hand gestures tells me it’s gonna be good. Been to shows there and it gets packed quickly, so if you want a seat get there early. Little seating. I’m not completely aware of their weekly programs/bookings. I do know that Wednesdays, Tom West tends bar and hosts the«Providence Artist Campaign» which sometimes includes unique swag giveaways. I am a fan!

A very large bar and a few sitting areas make up this dark bar/lounge. Good drinks and good company make a good night at dusk. Always a good late night spot.

This is one of the best clubs i’ve been to. It’s a really nice and clean place, staff is very friendly. I specifically go there for a night Called Requiem. It is a goth/industrial night that happens on the first thursday every month. Though I would definately go there for other nights as well.

Dusk. It’s a medium sized place, that advertises mostly by word of mouth, in a remote(possible sketchy) desolate at night part of Providence(at least during the week). Despite all this it’s name has a bit of mysteriousness that is so appropriate. This bar is dark, intimate, has exposed brick, is simple, clean, and classy. I feel like if it were in a movie, it’d be converted into a bordello, lol. There is a beautiful sexiness about it, that I haven’t quite put my finger on yet. Maybe a part of it is the nuances like the little side room which is perfect with dim lighting and leather couches. The bartenders here are attentive and yes, very attractive. I can really appreciate how they add to the atmosphere. Dusk exudes a great hybrid of vintage, classic, gothic, romantic, contemporary, along with a delicately hip feel that brings me back again and again. –Note: also Metal Nights have started up every wednesday(DJ) with Live Bands every third wednesday of the month. Check out Dusk… you will love it too!

When night falls this is where you want to be. Hidden behind dark corners, old buildings and fringy strip clubs you will find this class, sexy little lounge. A grand, «u– shaped» bar protrudes and is perfect for perching. Leather couches flank an elevated section just below the raised DJ booth, and there’s a mini room also with couches, exposed brick and a flat screen. Acoustics and lighting are well appointed and I have a little crush on the staff: *Mae — quite possibly one of the most delightful bartenders to ever be in the presence of *Rachel — a hot tamale *The owner — one of those making dreams a reality kind of guys: gym teacher by day — lounge owner by night. I dare say Dusk is one of the best kept secrets in Providence. And if you beg to differ, please set me straight — we just moved here nine moths ago.

This bar must be one of the best kept secrets in Providence. The sleek, loungy space is perfect for an after diner drink and to hear some live music. Dusk is tucked away in an old warehouse space on Harris Ave, just a stones throw from the busy and chaotic scene of Atwells. Dusk feels like a place just for locals, an intimate space for those who want a night on the town without all the fuss. The drinks are delicious. Try the Eben(a fruity vodka drink) or the Dusk Manhattan(honey whiskey and St Germain… yummmmm). The service is excellent behind the old, wide marble bar that takes up a lot of the room, so there’s plenty of seating for guests. It’s obvious a lot of thought and love went into this place; every detail is attended to and it shows. The lighting from the chic chandeliers is dim, and the bare brick walls contrast beautifully with the sleekness of the dark furnishings. This place is super cool, and I can’t wait to go back.

I heard the music was good. I heard it atmosphere was loungy, but I was still a little skeptical as I parked next to what looked like abandoned warehouses. But once I walked inside, my view completely shifted. Comfy leather couch along a curtained wall, cool chandeliers, a large bar, and brick walls create a relaxing but sophisticated vibe. The DJ doesn’t go on till about 10:30 and really that’s when all the people come, but even before that, I really liked the music. Good selection of hard alcohol and beer on tap. I was surprised that the place cleared out around 1am. Usually people stick around till closing time, so the time frame of a crowd is small. The music is easy to dance to and lots of people dance, which is really fun.

Dusk is one of the newest and most well kept secrets, until now, in Providence. When you drive up to Dusk go slow because there is no sign and the inside is not very well light. FYI: Dusk is located between Club Fantasies and Monet on the same side of the road. When you first enter Dusk you step into the middle of the building, with a large rectangular bar to your left and 4 or 5 plush leather couches with coffee tables to your right. This place features a huge liqour selection, nice selection of tap beers, high top tables, and large sliding windows. There is also a large projection screen that always has on some classics flicks and a few high top tables outside on the sidewalk. The whole inside from the ceiling to the floor has a sleek old world meets modern feel. The crowd is always sexy and sophisticated, with everyone well dressed in the hottest fashions. The bartenders are quick, very friendly, and know their drinks. This place usually does not get very crowded because the owners are trying to keep it under the radar for a while. Once people in Providence find out about this awesome establishment I’m sure it will fill up fast, so I would head over there soon.
