This was our first time at Escape and had no idea what to expect. What a blast we had working as a team even though we didn’t make it out in time. That followed by a lovely dinner makes for a fantastic night out with friends! Looking forward to trying it again!

Had a great time solving«The Gallery»! Made it out with 5 minutes to spare. Great time, friendly staff, a lot of fun.

This was SOMUCHFUN! Took my family and we had a blast! I love the mysterious ambiance they created, you feel completely divulged into this puzzling room. Great price, excellent location, and even though we did not successfully escape, it was such a great experience and an awesome bonding time! We will be back next month! :)

Great lasting impression! This Escape Room was my first experience with escape games a few months ago. My girlfriend had done similar rooms before and wanted to see if I would enjoy it. It was fantastic! Since then we’ve returned to give the other rooms a try at Escape Rhode Island. All three rooms have been fun and had memorable themes to go along with them. Each room has been high quality and different from the others. The game masters also seem to be invested in the story and legitimately enjoy what they’re doing. If you want to have a fun experience with an Escape Room… this is where you should start.

Let me start by saying my husband and I are 68 years old. We did the Red Study room this evening with our adult children and our grandson, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We each brought different skills to the table, and worked fairly well together, save a tiny bit of controversy over the solving of just one of the puzzles, which took us so long that we ended up running out of time before we finished. The setting was ingeniously construed, and we look forward to doing one of the other rooms another time. What a fun time! Our staff person was wonderfully upbeat and positive, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. I forget his name, but his hair was green, and he was youthful and energetic.

I had such a blast at Escape Rhode Island; there were 5 of us in our group and we chose the Green Room Study. Only 1 in our group had done something similar in MA, so the rest of us were virgins and didn’t have a clue what to expect. Upon arrival, we all had to sign a waiver and wait for the other group who booked the Red Room Study before we could start. The gentleman running the show was informative on what we could/could not do/touch in the room itself. Without giving away spoilers, I can only tell you that if you’re looking for something new, interesting, challenging and fun, then you most definitely need to book a room at Escape Rhode Island! It’s a fantastic opportunity to flex your brain muscle but be prepared to be patient throughout the process as not everything is what it seems! Overall, I had a very memorable experience. I can’t wait to go back and try out another room next time!

This was a blast. I went with a group of 14, most of us first-timers to escape games. We split into two groups and did the same puzzle, the Study, in different rooms. Both teams escaped, but it definitely wasn’t easy! I don’t want to give anything away, but the puzzle kept surpassing expectations. There were tools to uncover and use in satisfying ways, and there’s even a background story to the entire puzzle room to piece together for the more attentive participants. I’m looking forward to coming back sometime with other friends to try another room out. I should note that I’ve only done one other puzzle room experience, and that was in Boston through another organization. Although both are fun, Escape Rhode Island’s experience was much more immersive and creative.

Escape RI was overall pretty good. Went with a group of 7 and all had a good experience. The signage to find it was less than ideal on the exterior of the bldg. The reservations on-line worked great, but upon arrival to the place the front area was super cramp as the other group was also there and it was difficult to understand what was up… One of the employees finally acknowledged us and then proceeded to explain the rules to both groups. I think customer service was ok and could be improved upon… low energy and lacking enthusiasm… as they say… first impressions. The actual Escape room experience was fun. Though we did not make it out before our time ran out, the concept for our room was not overly creative. May go back to try the other room, but likely with a different group of people. Took my kids and it may have been a bit too much first them. 30 bucks was a fair price, but the concept could be improved.

Had an amazing time!!! Can’t wait to go again :) Had a group of six and we did the Study, puzzles were challenging but doable and def made you think outside the box! Honestly I don’t go out because there isn’t a lot to do around here that hasn’t ‘been done’ and this was so different it got me out! We were already planning the next trip on the way home! Thank you Escape RI! You guys do an amazing job!

This is a great way to spend an hour! my experience was with the room called«the study». EscapeRI is great for groups or you can be paired with other people if you don’t have enough to fill the room. There are a wide variety of types of puzzles to figure out and you don’t need to be a master to enjoy the game. Time moves pretty quick in the room and you’ll get sucked into the storyline. I would definitely come back when the rooms are changed(every few months they retire the scenario and make a new one).

This was really really fun! Full of number puzzles, secret messages, shouting orders, and great team building. It’s hard to give a full review without giving away any spoilers, so I’ll remain very generic. Your experience will depend on the type of room(s) you selected, with its recommended number of players. Keep in mind, when you book a room(which I strongly suggest reserving a few weeks in advance), you have to pay upfront and then create your team and guilt-trip your friends into paying you later. The gaming environment was truly well made and thought out. You may not be confined to just one room(wink) and you should delegate your teammates. I do like that while you and your friends are solving the puzzles, your actions are being«watched» by the DM’s and they will occasionally drop secret hints on the TV screen when you get stuck. I like the dynamic system, and even though we decided to «stay» in the room by the end of the hour, I’d consider returning again when they recycle their puzzles. The cost varies, but the large room is $ 26 pp, so keep your eyes peeled for any holiday deals!

We came so close to escaping!!! I had read about this place before it opened and it seemed cool so when I saw Unilocal was raffling off free chances to experience it I threw my hat into the ring. Luckily I won and I had an absolute blast. We were supposed to be a group of 6 but only 4 of us showed up, we were still able to get through the puzzles but it’s more manageable with more people. This would be a great team building event or a night out with friends but even if you don’t have a full group they will pair you with others to make a team.. . we were a group of strangers and we worked together great! This was my first time trying anything like this so I felt a bit confused and unsure what to do when we first got in the room but once we found and solved our first puzzle it all started to flow more easily. You don’t need to be great at puzzles to figure this out, in fact some things were easier when we didn’t over think them.. . those«duh» moments were also pretty funny. I can’t wait to go back with a bigger group to try The Gallery or to try the smaller room again when they change it out. It was challenging, a little stressful(in a good way) and so much fun.

I was so glad to hear I won a raffle to escape rhode island as I had been eyeing this place for a while. As others have said it is a very unique experience. The puzzles are not easy but you do get a sense of satisfaction when you figure one of them out. Did this with a few other Unilocalers and even though we didn’t know each other we still had a great time. This would be a great time with a group of friends, a double date, or a team building event. I can’t wait to come back and try one of the other rooms.

I won a raffle and entry ticket to «Escape». I haven’t quite figured out if the discreet entrance that I couldn’t find was intentionally done that way or just the indicator of how the rest of my night would go. I was about 7 minutes late and the group for the next«Escape» was already waiting. I e-signed the waiver and encountered an employee who escorted me to my «Escape» room. Because I missed the initial rules, she quickly ran through them with me which was helpful. I then walked into a room, the study, and began to help my group with whatever clues they were chasing. Overall, it was a really fun hour! I’m sure my groups dynamic was a bit different than most since we were all strangers but it was still fun nonetheless. I feel this is one of those opportunities where you use your left brain and your right brain. We were doing our best to work quickly, changing responsibilities now and then as well as communicating along the way. It was hard! And we did not succeed… but we were so close. I will absolutely return to this place and try the other room(s). I am also thinking of what a great team building opportunity this would be for colleagues.

Such a fun time, really a unique experience. I would definitely come back and do the other event they offer. This would be a perfect fun team building event for a work team.

What a unique experience, so enjoyable! They have several different scenarios you can choose from, one room is up to 10 people and the other rooms are up to 6 people. We had a group of 9 that went and we had no idea what to expect. There was plenty of parking outside and when we got in, the people there were so friendly and excited about their business. We were put in a room and had to work with clues to open various locks. If you take too long they will try to give you hints via the TV they have. Do not fear, if you need to leave the room for whatever reason there is one door that is always open so you are not ‘locked in for good’. If you are looking for a great team building experience, a fun night out with friends, or just something different to do, this is the place. You do not need to have a large group to go as anyone can sign up. You also don’t need to be a great problem solver as it is just a fun experience and everyone works together. You get a fun picture at the end and they welcomed us to come back to try the other scenarios. They do change at least one of them every few months so this is a place you can frequent.

New to escape rooms but familiar with the concept. Our crew of 4 nearly dominated the Study. We had an absolute blast! We are definitely coming back to play the Gallery. If you’re looking for an exciting double date, grab a drink around the corner and then check out Escape.

A friend and I played The Gallery on opening night and had a total blast. The puzzles were fun, clever, and had a great sense of variety. They also unfold in a nice sequence — it’s never clear what you’ll need to do next, and one thing leads naturally to the other — and our group had a couple of «no way!» moments as it dawned on us what we would have to do next. It’s worth noting that I’ve never done an escape room before, so I don’t have other points of comparison. There were also just four of us running the ten-person room, which made finishing the room in an hour pretty brutal — there were a lot of puzzles! — and I don’t have a sense of how it’d be with a full ten. The operators did a good job of helping us along with hints that were generous but not too blatant, and were often pretty funny to boot. In the end we aaaalmost made it: P

We did their 6-person room on one of the first nights they were open. All in all, it was a very solid escape room. Some very cool surprises, creative puzzles, and solid design. There were a couple of puzzles I felt were underclued/ambiguous, but much less so than in some other escape rooms I’ve participated in. The room’s brand new and the operators seemed open to feedback, so hopefully some tweaks will be made to the minor issues. We had lots of fun and hope to try out the 10-person room soon!
