The hardest think I ever did was have to watch my Aunt die a slow death from cancer. She was in so much pain that she could no longer stay at home. Then a nursing home she was transferred to just wasn’t equipped with handling end of life circumstances. My Aunt was chosen to come to Philip Hulitar and I’m so grateful they saw how badly she was suffering. We were allowed to sleep over if we wanted and also the nurses showed us how to care for her IF we wanted to take part in her«journey». I didn’t get a chance to visit the cafeteria, but heard that everything was great. There was no questions asked when someone brought concerns to the nurses on call. If she was in pain, they did their best to address it. I don’t think that she could’ve passed on in a better place and I will forever be grateful to this hospice center. Thank you for showing such love and compassion to my Aunt and family.

There is no way to make losing a loved one in death easy but Hospice sure does try. While my aunt was slowing slipping away at the Hospice Care center of RI, we received such excellent attention by the staff. It’s such a clean, peaceful, therapeutic environment. They really go the extra mile to make the patient and family comfortable. They help prepare you for the inevitable and they support you through it. The attention given to the patient is generous, kind, and capable. What a wonderful facility! A true God send!
