Date night for my wife and me, and we enjoyed creative, well-done and tasty food, with good ambience on the new back patio bar. Try the thick-cut maple bacon with blue cheese appetizer. Good service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Favorite sports bar on Rhode island. Awesome game deals and I love the renovation they did.

My cousin works here as a hostess(Sarah) and I came here to eat with her and two other people. We all split many appetizers and they were GREAT. We had the nachos, mozzerella sticks, chicken fingers and got a cheeseburger. The soft pretzels and the condiments that went with it were the best part. All very good and reasonably priced. Fun atmosphere also. Would recommend.

I’ve been coming to Ladder 133 for some time now. I have seen the quality down recently. The menu was cut back from previous times. There is quite a bit to choose from but I feel as if the options need to be expanded. The wings are no longer fried, they are slowly roasted, I believe. They were actually better than I expected. They could have used a little more buffalo sauce. We also ordered the nachos that were topped with chicken and pulled pork. The nachos were on the dry side. There was very little cheese. The cheese that I did see was burned into the nachos. Didn’t get the true cheesey experience you get with nachos that are packed with cheese. The pork was very, very dry. It definitely could’ve used some bbq sauce or marinade to give the nachos a better flavor. There was very little chicken on the nachos as well. Overall, Ladder 133 is a nice place. I just felt as if they really skimped on ingredients with the nachos. $ 13 isn’t a ton of money to spend but I do expect a decent product. One of my biggest pet peeve’s is when an establishment skimps on ingredients. I know you have to make a profit, but give every customer a plate that will want them to come back in for more.

Definitely a place to try! Great atmosphere! Friendly staff! Good food! I will definitely stop in again :)! I had the fish and chips and for a appetizer I had the mozzarella sticks. Both items were definitely up to my standards. From what I do remember unfortunately the portion sizes for the food was greatly on the smaller side. Unfortunately that is why I had to give three stars, for the prices charged you’d be expecting more«bang for your buck» but overall it was a pleasant time!

Looking for a casual place for dinner with my two boys prior to last night’s Providence/UMASS hockey game. I had checked out Ladder 133 on Unilocal the prior day. It was a bustling, well-kept sports bar with lots of Providence students and alums. Décor was comfortable with large tables and booths to watch the 30+ TVs. Kara, our waitress, was pleasant if a bit rushed. We started with mozzarella app which were large rectangles of deep fried cheese. They were very good, yet lacked salt — so a bit bland. One son had the burger, which he enjoyed, though this is served with homemade chips(should have option of fries.) Other son and I had the BBQ rib special. Kara noted that they have their own smoker which sold us on this. What we got were Flintstone-size racks of ribs — just unbelievably enormous! We could have split one order. They were well-cooked, tender and very tasty.(A small peeve — I asked Kara for more BBQ sauce and got a tiny cup of very cold sauce. Would have been nice to serve this warm or at least room temp.) Ribs come with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. Son loved his fries. I had asked to swap fries for smashed potato which was excellent and a huge portion. However, they did not tell me there was a $ 3.00 additional charge to substitute. When I asked Kara about this, she said«that’s what they told me.» That was not cool. They should tell you there’s an up charge. The cole slaw had way too much garlic and tasted commercially-made. I found it inedible. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Ladder 133 has solid food, huge portions and reasonable prices. Could be great with a few tweaks.

First time going to this sports bar, and I must say I was impressed. Nice and clean, good atmosphere, many tv’s, it was a sports fan haven. I must also include the food was very good, well made, in the realm of bar food. I had the stick wings, which were an interesting take on wings. For one they were smoked and grilled(they even had grill marks on them) then they were tossed in a sticky sauce which was light and a bit sour and spicy. I also had the Mozzarella sticks, thick and gooey, oozing with cheese. These were a fav. Overall it was a great experience. The waitress was attentive and helpful, the night was very good. I will be back soon!

Came to Ladder 133 for dinner. I really enjoyed the food. I went with my 1 year old daughter and they treated her like a princess! She really enjoyed her mac and cheese(so did I) The servers were super friendly and came and played with my daughter and gave her a balloon. The general manager even came to check on us and was really friendly. It’s a sports bar, not a 5 star restaurant. If you go in expecting Michelin service you will be disappointed. From what I could tell they are just a sports bar that serves food, and do a pretty darn good job in my opinion. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is, I ordered my daughters meal way before mine and the brought it out at the same time. I wanted hers out early so I could feed her and then enjoy my meal. It might have just been a miscommunication. Other than that, this was a stand up joint, and exceeded my expectations.

Atmosphere was fun, plus board games! Food is mostly apps and small choices not to go fill up on a dinner. Beer is good and cold though

Stopped in with my wife for a late Saturday afternoon bite to eat. I had been here once before for a beer with co-workers, and noticed some of the plates coming out looked pretty good. Fairly eclectic menu for a «sports bar», and plenty of beers to choose from. We started with some wings, as we like to do everywhere we go. We got the Garlic Parmesan, and asked for them crispy. Nothing chaps me more than ordering wings and having the skin under cooked. These came out perfectly crisp, were great size, and tasted fantastic. Definitely recommend. I got the Cubano sandwich with fries and my wife got the Prime Roast Beef with the house made chips. A Cubano with pork belly on it was a no brainer for me, and it was great. Excellent house cut fries, clearly fried in a nice non greasy peanut oil. The roast beef sandwich with swiss, a red pepper relish, sauteed onions, and sauce was amazing as well. The chips were ok, I preferred the fries. Both sandwiches came with nice fresh bread, and even though a tad on the expensive side($ 12 each) we felt that they were worth it. Nicely done bar, with plenty of bar and dining room seating. Plenty of TV’s and options for food and beer. 2 drawbacks, one minor and the other a huge pet peeve. 1.) Relax on the beer prices a bit. You’re in Smith Hill, not Boston. $ 6 and up for a craft or import draft is a little much. 2.) Please instruct your staff to either come into work prepared to work, or to pretty themselves up in the back. Yes, you’re a hot bartender and the low-cut shirt will surely bring in tips. No real big deal there. But, when you happen to come in and we’re sitting at the bar eating during the shift change I shouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes for a beer while you get yourself«ready». That’s not exclusive to this place, but it really is unnecessary and can be quite a turnoff if you’re looking for repeat clientele. That being said, I’ll definitely be back in.

Sat at the bar with a pal and myself had a Bloody Mary and a Malibu Bay Breeze. Danielle mixed them both up and they we’re great. Danielle was friendly and didn’t over ask how we were doing as some baristas do. We split pork 2 ways and the ribs were bomb. This place had an active vibe for a Thursday night from college kids to old guys at the bar. Clean and cool interior featuring the fire house theme. The Unilocal deals $ 10 for $ 20 was also a plus. I’ll be back. We had a great time and prices were reasonable.

I had the fries with cheese and bacon. Delish! The fries were seasoned just right and nice and hot. The waitress was not as friendly but not mean either. Buffalo chicken pizza was really tasty I loved it could use a little more chicken though! We played some keno my boyfriend won 55 $ so we were pretty happy! All and all a great establishment I would be excited to see what’s in store!

It’s an OK place. Casual, lots of tables to sit in especially with a group of 10. Many TVs with various games and fights on. But there’s just nothing special to me with this bar. Although I will say it wasn’t too crowded on a Friday night and not super loud either, there just wasn’t a wow factor. Drinks were good, friendly staff and parking wasn’t a problem.

Maaan I had a serious craving for some legit barbecue. There seems to be slim pickings in Rhode Island. I have a smoker and take my BBQ serious. We decided to give this establishment a shot. We had ribs, pulled pork, steak sub and the cheesy Mac. Was not disappointed! The ribs were tender, pork flavorful, steak on point and Mac mind blowing. Highly recommend and will be trying other menu items here!

Went here with my squad and got the paramesan garlic wings and nachos. The nachos were lacking in cheese to be honest… it was really lacking but the pulled pork changed the game. Got 5 beers for $ 13 in a bucket was a great deal. We used $ 14 groupon for this and will definitely be back!

I can only really rate Ladder 133 on the game-day atmosphere. I have not found too many sports bars in RI that do it right. Its either not enough TVs, no sound, lousy crowd, or the place isn’t into sports and just puts the Pats came on because it helps draw a crowd. Ladder 133 does it Right. There were easy 4 different games happening at the same time. Fans for teams other than the Pats were there in numbers and yelling at their games and having a good time. Obviously the Pats game was on many of the TVs and the game broadcast was being pushed over the sound system. Most people were there to watch the game and cheer on their team… whereas many other places people go to be ‘around’ the game but its really more of a social hour and they only get excited for Pats TDs or anytime Gronk touches the ball. They have drink specials and many regulars that the bartenders greeted by name and with smiles. I did not eat but saw several dishes come out for people around me and all of the food looked fantastic. I wished I lived closer so I could frequent the place more often.

Ladder 133 jus got UnilocalED… Walked in and saw TV everywhere even the booths had its own flat screen TV. The atmosphere was sports bar type. People were engaged into the games on television. The meals looked very good. Grilled chicken on a bed of pasta and sauce and the battered fried shrimp laid nicely on a roll with chips on the side but unfortunately and surprisingly we found a hair in both of our plates. Returned the food, owner came out and apologize. We received the next round of drinks on him but we had 2 pay for our 1st rounds and wings. Would i go back? Maybe(50/50)after i see all the bars in the world.

The second star is because there’s not that many places in Providence(that I’ve seen) that have this many TVs and can accommodate as many games at once as they do. Otherwise, it totally stunk! I will say, I went here once where the service was excellent, the waitress was accommodating(I wanted to watch hockey, le beau wanted to watch basketball) and the food was awesome(I got the veggie burger, he got a pizza that he liked but I didn’t care for that much). Surprisingly, this was on a Saturday in March(maybe the cold and crappy weather played a factor). The other times have been abysmal. If you want to play a practical joke on someone, get them to order the shrimp tacos. What you will find inside the tortilla are the tiniest baby shrimp I’ve ever seen. They are flavorless and look like they once lived and were probably grown in a can. The Caprese panini was burnt and cold by the time it reached the table. We ordered a pitcher and the whole thing tasted skunked. I can’t remember if we used a Groupon or a Unilocal deal but something got messed up at the end of the night and I ended up just cutting our losses. I just wanted to get out of there. The worst part about one of the nights we went was this awful awful DJ from whom there was no escape. He was doing some sort of decade-centric music bingo. He was loud AF and his banter was horrible. At first, we were like, «Why not, let’s do this» but it was so insufferable we stopped caring. There is nowhere else you can go in this establishment to get away from the loud, out of touch man. Every room is speakered up for his amazingly grating voice. The bathrooms are horrendous and some of them don’t lock. I’ve walked in on a woman puking. I’ve also seen really gross things um under the tables. Anyway, if you’re going to watch a game and want better food that’s fairly priced, just go to Snookers and leave Ladder 133 to do its thing.

I came here with some guys from work and we decided to get a pitcher of Smithwicks, very good, cold beer that was great on a hot day. The ambience of the place is very nice and plenty of TV’s to watch sports, which I was very happy about. The server was good, but she didn’t seem to know that they had specials going on, even though I saw them up on the chalkboard and told them to her. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because I really didn’t care for the nachos that we got. I’m not a fan of pork on nachos, but I must admit that the pretzels we got were excellent. I would definitely come back here again and probably will in the near future. It’s only 1 mile from work and that makes it very convenient for visiting after the work hours.

Went there for a their 5 yr anniversary party, $ 10 to get in and I am still trying to figure out what was so special about this night. They had Cornhole games and beer pong but otherwise there was nothing. If you want a basic beer at a bar then stop by but I wouldn’t pay to get in. I did have their homemade salt and vinegar chips which were good.

This is definitely a place that thrives off being trendy. Came here with a Groupon, so idk if that was why the service sucked, but it was super slow, and not very friendly. I had a fajita and it was the blandest thing ever. Blueberry beer had rock hard frozen blueberries in it. I get that it’s a sports bar, but it’s so loud in here I had to scream to talk to my bf, who was sitting so close to me our thighs could have merged into one. 2 stars because the food was edible.

After an incredibly rude response received on Unilocal from what I assume to be the owner of the joint, I no longer am giving this place the benefit of the doubt. Knocking it down to one star. I’ll never associate with this place again. I’m offended and appalled, but not surprised anymore about the bad service I received if this is the type of example servers are receiving from upper management.

I basically live here as im in this place atleast one a week. The menu is absolutely delicious. The outside seating is comfortable and perfect for large parties and summer nights. Great place to watch games. Great drink selection. Drink/eat specials every night. Typical great bar shit right? What makes this place phenomenal is the staff. They continuously deliver the greatest/kindest/welcoming service ive ever experienced. I love it here. You will too.

Love this place! Such a fun vibe. They have a bar side or you can do the lounge with boothes and tables. I believe on fridays and/or saturdays they have some good rock/current music bands. The punch bowl is awesomely huge! Great drink to share with your girlfriends on a night out. Strong enough to get each of you buzzed if your sharing with 4 people. Totally worth the $ 40. Valet parking for free, which is cool. Makes you feel a little special and sophisticated lol Staff and crowd were also very friendly, no trouble at all. Good apps too! If your loomi g for a simple fun night out where you can lounge and have some good convo, then come here! Its also very close to the highway so easy access back home.

I hate this place. Sorry, I am not usually so mean. But I literally have had a bad experience EVERYSINGLETIME. The last was the worst… got like 4 appetizers, 3 were disgusting and the wings were okay. But we ordered a pitcher of margaritas and it tasted like lime juice and soda water(why? I am not sure). I would prefer to never go back.

So after a really bad experience there two years ago I stopped going there. The service was awful. However I had a ticket for pizza through lord of the pies and decided to give it Another chance. And oh boy I’m glad I did ! They have to be under new management or Something because it was awesome ! They greeted and sat us right away. Our waitress was Cheryl. She was friendly and recommend some beers and pizza to us. We enjoyed chatting with her. We had the carne Asada pizza with boom Boom sauce. Not quite sure what was in it but it was delicious. Creamy and hot to mesh with the mild steak flavor. Besides our waitress giving great service the staff was all keeping very busy cleaning which was great to see. The manager came over to check on us too. What a great experience. I am looking forward to going again.
