I had great hope for this place being there bright colorful signage. I ordered chicken fried rice they had to prepare it fresh or what I guess they would have. As I waited for my food I also bought a veggie egg roll and two crab Rangoon. I sat in the food court and it was gross the rice was grease and over pepper poorly cooked and the veggie egg roll and crab Rangoon you could tell it had been sitting longer than it should have. I’m done and will not return or recommend save your money.

I don’t know if they just unfroze the food, the sauces all have this fishy taste. When I complained and asked to switch for something else, the staff ignored me. There are better places to eat and more pleasant.

Got the fresh cooked shrimp pad Thai– I’m a huge fan! They only have a few fresh cooked menu items but so worth it! For the price, portion size was huge– definitely enough for 2 people. They also have the typical American Chinese fare which is similar to any mall Chinese fast food.

I know this is only mall food,(this is the Thai place in Emerald Mall, same owners) but I am sick of it. Not sure who runs this place or who is in charge of quality standards but they should all be fired. I ordered a side dish of Pad Thai, made to order. It came out as all pure white noodles with nothing in it? Just an oil sugary seasoning and minute traces of something green and shredded? For 4 bucks? It was nothing, worth $ 1.50 tops. So I refused it and opted for one entrée selection and choice of Fried rice or Noodles for a $ 1.00 more These were equally bad. Fried rice with nothing in it, not even enough S&P & Soy? At a minimum it should be seasoned correctly with adequate Soy, plus shredded carrots, cabbage and garlic, ginger, egg and scallions. This is the basics The noodles were the same? Nothing in it, just a little soy and some sweet sauce. This also should have basic ingredients like a basic bokchoy, garlic, sriracha, carrots, red pepper and maybe scallions for a very, very basic dish. The chicken served was a lousy, fatty thigh meat with twice the crust needed and and very sweet and chewy. It seems like all these places do is to find cheaper and cheaper ways of taking shortcuts and cheapening food. We all know what decent Asian food is, and like me you would rather pay a buck or two for some basically well prepared and good tasting food with a little integrity! Please improve or move on so someone with a little pride in their work can take over the stall

Most authentic Thai I have had in RI and at a mall food court. They let you customize the spiciness of noodle orders– shrimp pad Thai — best feature of most authentic thai. Great bbq chicken with fried rice, very generous portions and fair pricing. Impressed.

Actual rating: 3.5 Stars Alright alright, I know, mall food? Boyfriend and I stopped on a whim on day. We saw it was new, and the prices looked pretty good, so we decided to try. He got one of the combos, getting sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. He said it was decent, not amazing but not bad. I got chicken pad thai, which was very good. They make the pad thai to order. I got mine spicy, and it was indeed spicy, which was very surprising. Most places advertise something as spicy and it’ll have a bite, but won’t be spicy. So, overall, its pretty good. Not amazing, but better than most mall food restaurants, in my opinion.

Came here since I was starving for some Chinese food and this was pretty close. Prices are reasonable and good for the amount they give. Orange chicken — delicious! Warm, crunchy, meaty. There was not too much flour. Red pork — salty, tasted ok but I wish I hadn’t gotten this. Fried rice and noodles — tastes like any other take out Overall, I’d only come back for the orange chicken!

Have you ever had cravings for mall food? You know what I’m talking about. There’s a very distinct type of food that can only be found in a mall. It doesn’t matter what type of food it is… Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian. It’s your standard comfort items that you would expect from these various cuisines served to you quickly in a styrofoam box with multiple compartments. Ruby Thai is one such restaurant. It’s a new place that opened up where Ben and Jerry’s used to be. They have a wide array of American-Thai food which also bordered into American-Chinese food. Of course I chose the curry chicken which was actually quite delicious but not your classic Thai curry. Slightly sweeter than you would expect obviously catering towards the American palate. They serve quickly and the food was quite good but there was nothing spectacular about it. Just something different than what was already being served in the Providence Place food court.

Quite funny that this place is called Thai food. It is your typical Asian Chinese style food court mall food in Providence Place. Sure the portions are decent size but the food is salty, oily and good thing my stomach is like a shark’s or I’d probably have a massive stomach ache. I ended up ordering spicy chicken with noodles and another chicken dish with some vegetables. My fear in eating at these places(which I plan hopefully on visiting less) is how long has the food been sitting under that heat lamp for? With my dinner the only positive was the authentic sweet Thai Iced tea which was served with a healthy amount of ice. This was the only positive in an abysmal experience.

I was so excited for this place, it was under wraps for so long… to bad the run up to the dance was no good. Beware of the bang bang chicken, it wants to be general tso but it is downright disgusting, mystery meat chunks. *yuck*

Typical mall food. I’ve eaten at their Emerald Mall location for a couple years now and they’re both alright. Unlike Attleboro, this new location has an open stove and offers rice noodles as well as the usual asian food(the other just has chinese noodles and rice) Seriously folks, this is not actually Thai food. If you seriously thought that’s what you’re getting in the middle of a Rhode Island mall then you’re pretty much beyond help. Essentially it’s glorified Chinese food with a similar menu to other«Japanese» food court restaurants. I do love their Bang Bang chicken but they seem to make it less spicy than their other location(you can literally see strips of hot peppers in the sauce). The only thing that keeps me coming back are the jars of crushed peanuts and fish sauce you can freely use on your food. Mix that with your rice noodles and that’s probably the most authentic Thai you’ll eat at a mall.

Buyer beware! False advertising. The food doesn’t look like any of the pictures on the menu. Also, none of it is fresh as the sign claims. I asked for rice in my THAIRICEBOWL and was told that I couldn’t have it if I wanted protein & vegetables too(like the picture). I even said I’d pay more for it and was shut down. The food I did get was terrible. The chicken was practically inedible. The vegetables were basically cabbage and broccoli only. I will never go there again. You shouldn’t waste your money. Go to Subway.
