A niche restaurant that caters to lovers of all things cheese. Fun interior, nice staff and a hip menu make this a must visit. The food is great and I enjoyed my chicken bacon ranch grilled cheese. I like the Mac n cheese, but the cheese mostly gathers at the bottom. It does taste good, but maybe should be thicker so it sticks to the macaroni. Definitely a must if you’re a RI foodie!

I have to say, if the food doesn’t wow you, the incredible customer service will. My husband is from Jersey, so of course, I had to take him here for a breakfast sandwich. It was very tasty, albeit on the pricier side. I get it, though. Taylor ham is expensive, especially if you’re shipping it in. I wanted a mac and cheese bowl (at 10am, I know). However, they were out of mac and were making a fresh batch, but I just couldn’t wait around for a half hour. As a courtesy, they gave me a voucher for a free mac bowl. May seem like a small gesture, but it’s something most places won’t do. You know these folks are all about satisfying the customer and putting out the best food possible. It doesn’t hurt that they do so much for the community as well. The art on the walls is pretty great too! Why not take advantage of the local talent? You must check it out — they say big things are coming down the pike for this place, like an expanded menu. Yay!

Called in an order about fifteen minutes from close (which I didn’t know at the time) and walked from the convention center to pick it up. The server kept it on the grill to maintain heat and so that my sandwich wasn’t going to get soggy. Great customer service! Their grilled cheese was too good! I couldn’t believe you could make a buffalo chicken grilled cheese until he made it! Their Mac and cheese on the other hand… I could do without. Tasted too floury? But maybe it was because it was about to close. Regardless, this spot hit my stomach good!!!

I came here with my girlfriend. We ordered two buffalo chicken sandwiches and we absolutely loved them. Perfectly grilled and sautéed. Much better than other Melt sandwich shops in the vicinity. The guy who served us was very polite. We’ll definitely visit again.

Taylor ham! All I have to say. Being from NJ, this is one thing I really miss! Great breakfast sandwich and service was great. very nice people.

OK, if you love Mac n’cheese or grilled cheese you will probably like this place. I liked the fact that their sandwiches seemed to be carefully crafted and feature local ingredients like Fox Point Pickles.
I ordered the Cuban and it was decent. The aforementioned pickles really tied the sandwich together, although it didn’t quite feel like a cohesive whole. For my daughter I ordered the standard and I have to say the bread and cheese didn’t stand out enough to make it more than an average sandwich.
I would like to give these guys another chance, they had a lot of good looking sandwiches on the menu. From the other reviews it looks like the Mac is a favorite. You can get any of the sandwiches as a Mac N’ cheese with the same toppings.

I tried a vintage grilled cheese and a bite of the mac & cheese. Both were soooo good!
The grilled cheese was perfect. The mac cheese had Gouda in it and gave it a delicious smoky flavor. I can’t wait to try more of the menu!

OMG… I am usually a healthy eater, but I might get addicted to these grilled cheese sandwiches. I had the Rancher (Grilled chicken, bacon, ranch, cheddar) and it was So Good !!! The amount of ranch was light enough to provide a great taste to the sandwich, without being overwhelming or dripping all over. The chicken, bacon and cheddar were so delicious… you could taste all three of them in a delightful combination that is calling my name… again and again… And all for less than $ 7.
I have to try the other sandwich flavors to see if they are as good as the Rancher… Some of the options are The Havana (ham, pickles, mustard, swiss), the Wildcat (BBQ pulled pork and cheddar), the Sausage and Peppers, etc…
The Mac n Cheese was just ok for my taste, not my favorite, but light and cheesy. This place is located in the old Blind Tailor Café, across from Circe on Weybosset.

The Chicken, bacon, ranch is one of my favorites, but all their sandwiches are very good quality. Lupe, their manager is a very nice guy, and the service is very good! I highly recommend going to Say Cheese! You won’t be disappointed!

Went here for lunch today with my friend and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the grilled cheese and mac and cheese I had here! I got the Rancher, which was cheddar, bacon, chicken and ranch all stuffed between two large slices of white bread. While it was a little greasy, the size and crispness of the bread really made up for it! The chicken was cooked just right, and very garlicky and flavorful – just the way I like it! The mac and cheese side that I had was also delightful. The cheese sauce was not salty but cheesy and thick, and the shells were cooked just right! This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat.

OMGOSH, AMAZING, so I walked in with no real expectations. Then, so I asked if they had any recommendations. I was asked, where I was from. Jersey I said. So I was told about The Jersey… Taylor ham!!! YUMMY. It was truly a fabulously delicious sandwich and much needed when I was missing home! Thanks for the suggestion and great lunch.

Who’s not a sucker for a menu based on cheese? Grilled cheese and mac and cheese are the pillars of this downtown Providence establishment. On a visit during the soft opening, the super friendly owners were happy to invent a new, spicy-​meets-​cheesy concoction for me. Mac and cheese, hot sauce, and blue cheese was a winner. The «mac» portion of the mac and cheese was pasta shells, which I wasn’t expecting, but liked. The blue cheese was a must for adding cheesy dimension. I’m looking forward to the official opening and full menu, but in the meantime will enjoy the experience of a real mac and cheese laboratory!

Get the Mac and Cheese. First thing I noticed when I opened my to go container was that the shells seemed to be swimming in a generous but appropriate portion of cheese. The «mac» is actually large shells cooked perfectly al dente. The first couple bites I took I was a little concerned that there was just too much Gouda for my personal taste. But, I kept shoveling spoonfuls in my mouth, and a few bites in I was hooked. The sauce is flavorful, has a nice creamy texture, and even has big flakes of pepper. I had about a 10 minute walk before I could dig in, and it was still perfectly hot when I sat down to eat it.
I tried the vintage grilled cheese with american. It had a nice taste. The bread could have been a little crispier. They use 3 slices of cheese. Unfortunately, in the middle the cheese hadn’t really melted so all the slices separated.
The employees are pleasant. The seating area isn’t quite done yet, but so far the interior looks good.
Best part: you can buy food or drink for someone who can’t afford it to use when they need to.

This place just opened recently and I thought I would check it out. Currently they have a small menu since it is a new place, understandable, but still plenty to choose from.
I went with «The Jersey», this is made with New Jersey’s own Taylor Ham pork roll, cheddar, grilled onions, olives, and banana peppers. Before stepping in my mind was set as $ 7 for 2 pieces of bread and some cheese, I’ll need two. Walking in I saw they had options. While finishing my meal, i was full! It was flavorful, was a little greasy, but hey it is grilled cheese and you need to grill the bread on butter so no big deal.
Staff was friendly, over heard one of them talking to a customer mentioning they can make what they want, as long as they have it. So if I wanted to add something or take off something, that is fair game.
Next time I’ll try the Mac and cheese and we’ll see how soon they come out with the pulled pork grill cheese, since I live bbq.
Would be nice to see if they started a rewards program or brought in «level up» program, apple pay, or Android pay so we can pay with our phones.
Negatives… Would be nice if I had 2 pickles instead of 1. I think for being new they did good, welcome to the neighborhood.
