Firstly– if you’re in the neighborhood and need some coffee beans– stop by small circle! They carry fresh whole bean coffee from both Dave’s and New Harvest. Small Circle is the kind of place where you can get a gift for your mom and find something that suits your taste too. They carry everything from handmade cards, to jewelry, kids clothes, dog collars and home accessories and decorations. They have a great variety of pieces. There were gorgeous earrings made from sea glass, delicate stacking rings, foxpoint t-shirts, handmade soaps and lip balms and so much more. I love that this store carries really quality pieces without a stuffy attitude. Everything is local, so you feel totally justified buying yourself something from this spot. I picked up some coffee beans and a really gorgeous stylish ring for $ 10! John was in when I stopped by today and he is super personable and friendly. Go support this local shop!

This is a store you can feel great about shopping at. This store is full of great, local products. From quirky t-shirts to local foods. Its almost as if you blended Frog & Toad with Craftland. Friendly, helpful shopkeepers and good prices as well.

This place is my new favorite store in Providence. We wandered in thinking we’d just do a quick walk around, but my husband practically had to drag me out of the store. The store sells 100 percent locally made, small batch products. John, one of the shop owners, informed us that about 85 percent of the products are made in Rhode Island and the remaining 15 percent come from Connecticut and Massachusetts. In addition, all of their giftwrap is made from recycled materials. The store opened in November so, if you haven’t been there yet, check it out! The store is well-organized and has a good mix of quirky and unique products(a clothing line where periodic table elements are used to spell phrases, coffee syrup, funky jewelry) as well as high quality staples(gorgeous wooden serving boards, hand-blown glass ornaments, candles, beautiful artwork and jewelry) and foodstuffs(dips, granola, spices, etc.). If you need a gift, you can definitely find something here. Prices are also very reasonable. I bought two unique coffee mugs and a beautiful hand-blown glass ornament for around $ 30. My husband and I really enjoyed speaking to John while we were shopping. As Mckenzie G. noted, he is very passionate about shopping locally and he’s very excited to be able to showcase and sell these products in his store. I hate shopping in general, but I definitely loved shopping here. I will be back. And if you stop in here, I’m pretty sure you’ll be back a second time too.

Um hello adorable!?! This place is so cute– full of work from local artists. You can’t go wrong. Perfect for gifts. Some of the stuff is not my fancy but a lot of it twas! My little brother picked up a great photograph that was framed for less than $ 50! Plenty of street parking + the staff are super nice. This was my first time inside but I bet the items change often. Seemed like a mini craftland but less crafty… more artsy if that makes any sense. I’m sure I’ll be back! If you need a little local made gift or somethen sentimental for yourself, this is your kinda place!

Another great addition to Wickeden Street shopping, Small Circle is a local arts shop that houses a mix of different mediums and price ranges. If you like to hit up any of the summer art shows or holiday markets, Small Circle is just that in store form. As soon as you open the door, you are greeted with a welcoming aroma(from the goods) and a well organized, eclectic mix of artists. The wares range for granola and spice mixes to pottery, prints, clothing, and jewelry. The shop owner is also friendly and passionate about his new business. I overheard his conversation with 2 customers about the reasons he put this shop together and the work that went into doing so. Then when I went to check out, he kindly offered me a vintage gift box instead of a basic one, with the side-note that he loves these kinds of touches and wants to share the finds with others. He was so appreciative of the business, that it makes me even more excited to go back at another date. If you’re looking for a unique and local gift, Small Circle is a great place to start.
