Great place for coffee and outside seating. Recently moved to Rhode Island, and happy to have a neighborhood café. Also, next to a sushi place so have had evening sip to close the day.

This is the only coffee shop downtown that has it all. There plenty of seating, breakfast and lunch. No matter the time of day this place has you covered. The sandwich selection is small but each sandwich is delicious and is just the right size. Also this is the only place you can sit outside and enjoy the magical part of Westminster street. Make this the place for your small meeting or a place to just relax.

Perfect place to bring friends that are visiting the city due to the variety of both food and beverages. Can be busy but understandable considering its located in a high traffic area. Strongly recommend and their hummus plate comes with lots of vegetables & pita to enjoy!
I pass by everyday and today stopped in. I usually stop at Starbucks but thought I prefer to support local so I’ll give it a try. The clerk wasn’t rude or nice. I ordered a soy latte. He didn’t even smile when I engaged. Not the friendly feel as i have experienced at other local shops on that street. The next customer said she hadn’t seen him in awhile and he said he was off for a week. Which explains the good review from 6 days ago. Very dissapointed and will go to Starbucks tomorrow, spend a little less money and get the warm greeting from any of the employees I have engage. The gal that prepared my drink did a nice job.

I have mixed thoughts about this place. I’ve come here twice with my boyfriend. The first time we got breakfast sandwiches. They were really delicious. I think the egg is scrambled and cooked in the microwave and it makes it super fluffy and yummy. The second time we went they were out of bagels so the only bread left were baguettes. We decided to each get one of their sandwiches instead. I got the #2, which was a blt with avocado essentially and his was turkey, cheese, and apple slices. The were just okay. They’re not heated up and the bread kinda hurt our teeth when we bit in so much that we each saved the second half for later. The sandwiches are served with tortilla chips which aren’t the best pairing in my opinion. Here’s my other problem. The staff kinda talked crap about a male customer after he left right for everyone to hear in the open. I understand if you need to vent but do it behind closed doors. I wanna give this place another chance and go earlier in the morning for another breakfast sandwich.

This is my favorite café in providence! Although the items are over priced. The atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly and it’s just an over all cool place to be. During the winter they have this amazing cinnamon bun latte. It’s so good

Amazing experience! This is a place that does everything right. I work in a coffee shop and I frequent a lot of cafes whenever I have time, and this is exactly the atmosphere I want to spend my time chilling/working in. DRINKS are pretty great. Although they don’t do exquisite latte art, the flavor of their espresso drinks acheived the perfect balance between the sweetness of heated(but not burned) milk and the well-balanced sweetness, acidity, and slight bitterness of the expresso. It is refreshing and delicious. FOOD is also really great. We got the egg and cheese croissant, a cinnamon bun, and a yoghurt parfait. Honestly, everything was GREAT. The egg and cheese in the croissant was freshly made and doesn’t look like one of those egg patties that are served in many cafes. The warm cheese keeps the croissant and the eggs together, so it is not messy and difficult to eat. The cinnamon bun was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. The yoghurt parfait has so many fruits in it, with the perfect amount of granola and yoghurt. The presentation of everything was incredible too! If I lived in Providence, I would come here as often as I could. I will def go again if I visit!

Small with lots of tables and couches for doing work. High ceilings and a large front window add to the appeal. Great place to stay a while if it’s not too crouded.

I had a spinach bagel with tomato, cucumber, onion, spinach, and lox with a Mexican mocha. After tax and tip it came to about $ 15.00. That’s a lot for a bagel sandwich and coffee! The mocha was okay when I finally got it. They forgot about it but I won’t hold it against them. I’m reviewing for taste vs value only. My sandwich was cheap on the lox. For the price, I should’ve gotten more. The Mexican mocha wasn’t very hot(in temperature) and it was almost gritty. Anyway, I’d go back but probably just for a coffee and pastry, something simple.

A bustling café for families and students alike, Small Point has quickly become a favorite. The coffee is delicious, and although I’ve yet to try the sandwiches, they’ve been constant distractions every time I’ve visited. I did get to try the Chocolate Orange Pinwheel(raw, vegan), which is the perfect afternoon treat. I’m also a huge fan of the teapot option: try the honey ginseng green tea if you can! While seating can be scarce on beautiful weekends, it’s really worth it if you can nab a coveted spot(all the better if it’s near an outlet). And prices are somewhat higher than at other locales, but I’m happy to support these fine folks!

Great spot to study when the skies are clear and the suns out shining. The large windows filters in the sunlight nicely without the glare and the vines really help make the place feel cozy and relaxed. There’s a variety of baked goods, wraps, salads, and sandwiches to snack on as well. A wide selection of teas and refillable hot water makes for a good 3 hour power session. Only downside would be the slow wifi, but it is still accessible should you need it for basic functions. YouTube/video streaming distractions void!

Great location and set up, delicious equal exchange fair trade coffee and tea. You are welcomed and warm when you arrive and the space is set up beautifully. The staff are exceptional and the atmosphere is artsy yet not portentous. There are great crafty cards to buy and other great local art. Also there is parking validation for the nearest lot for 2 hrs so if you need a great place to meet up but dread paying for parking this helps!

The grungy classic café feel works for Small Point The coffee is decent and the food isn’t anything special, but it’s a great place to camp out, get some work done, and contemplate life. The Mexican Mocha also a fun way to spice things up.

I eat and drink here a few times a week. The coffee and hot chocolate is delicious and consistent. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s very convenient. The bagels are solid and they have a good selection. The salads are an excellent value. The selection of pastries is a little blah and could use some rotation from time to time, but they recently expanded their offerings to include some vegan breakfast bars and(small) cupcakes. The place is pretty clean and I love that they use spaghetti instead of wooden stirrers. However, I never get the sense that people like working there. No one really ever smiles.

Small Point is the go-to place for downtown professionals and residents alike. Great coffee(although 99cent refills seems extremely high) and delicious pastries. Love it when the weather allows outside seating, as this is Providence’s «main street» and great for people watching.

Their pumpkin spice latte actually tastes like both pumpkin and latte! The mocha is also very good, but I was particularly impressed by the former. Ambiance was nice, plenty of seating and table space; looks like it would be a good place to bring a laptop to work, or a book to read. Tl;dr: great coffee in a nice place to drink it!

Second best cappuccino I’ve had in my life, only thing that made it so was the ratio of milk to espresso, it was just way too large. The strong espresso mingled well with the steamed whole milk. The shot wasn’t under or over extracted, it was amazingly perfect, no astringent bitterness whatsoever. And of course, the latte art always puts the finishing touch on a great beverage. Glazed popover is to die for. A hearty portion, good for sharing with 2 – 3 people. Interesting set up of a café, with the café bar semi-separate from the main dining area. Carpets, board games, puzzles, and quirky homemade décor give the place a cozy feel, definitely kills all ego and pretentiousness, and makes for a very comfortable place to read or chat in between classes or meetings-what have you. They stray from the ordinary food accompaniments: chia seed porridge topped with fresh blueberries, vegan pretzel buns, cinnamon drop pastries, and gigantic popovers glazed with a sugary sweet icing. In addition, they also have 2 – 3 house wine and beer selections, which again, is one of those awesome concepts(café bar) I see so often in Europe, but lacks here in the US. Love it. Music is a little meh, think oldies but goodies, Michael Jackson era and all those songs you hear played at every single wedding reception. Reception is spotty on both cell, wifi/mifi, so not a great place to work or study if you need a connection, but nonetheless, a great place in a central location in close proximity to the FiDi and the schools. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

This was my second visit to Small Point Café and now I feel like I finally can review it. The first time I went in the morning and got some really yummy coffee and oatmeal. Today I got lunch and it was delicious! Small Point Café is so cute and boutique-y, the food is also great. I got the Baby spinach salad that came with strawberries, avocado, edamame beans and balsamic dressing. I added turkey and it was super yummy!!! The salads come with two slices of bread. My friend got the roasted veggie salad that she also loved. The salads are fairly priced and also really tasty. The whole menu looks awesome and I can’t wait to try more — especially the breakfast items. The ambiance is bright and friendly and seems like a great place to study or get some work done. I am just obsessed with the downtown providence area as a whole. There are so many cute vintage and artsy shops around Small Point Café that make it a perfect spot for lunch and some fun shopping on a nice day.

While most of the menu is off limits to me for various allergy reasons, the internet kindly let me know and I will now share with you that this place has gluten-free bagels — Udi’s. Unless your sensitivity is quite mild you will need to get them untoasted as they do not have a gluten-free toaster. They also have a totally decent selection of tea from Republic of Tea, pleasant seating options, and were playing a Sisters of Mercy album when I walked in so I’ll be quite happy to return here in the future.
