Smart Cuts

Very good barbershop! The lady who cut my hair was very nice and although it’s a small shop, I find it quite nice inside. I didn’t ask for anything extravagant to be done on my hair, so I can’t tell if she’s skilled or super skilled, but she made my hair look nice and did everything I asked so that’s ⁵⁄₅ in my book. To top it all off it was only $ 16 before tip. I will mention that it’s probably best to make an appointment because they can get quite busy.
I’ll definitely be back. It was a nice, quick, and affordable trip. Definitely recommend this place over the other barbershops in the area.

Very nice lady! Gave me a great cut and seemed to know exactly what I wanted after I showed her some previous pictures of my hair. Haircut came out perfect at a very decent cost.($ 16+$ 3 for tips= 19 $ total)
She was also skilled at what she did and was able to finish my cut in half the time it usually takes at my other barbershop.
Would def go back for my next haircut and would recommend to everyone!

I’ve always tried hard to find a real haircut place that can handle the delicate (lol) nature of Asian guy hairs, and as much as I hate to leave my trusted hairstylist in Boston, I find that Smart Cuts offered a similar level of technique and style that is hard to find, especially for less than $ 20.
This place is primarily operated by a single person, and is fairly hidden unless you are looking for it. The hair stylist is a nice Korean lady who’s no stranger to the hair cutting business and while she may not cut with surgical precision (as you may tell, I’m still very biased), she is very careful and knows how to avoid the fresh hair-​cut look that plagues many of us. My only concern was that I had asked her to be creative, give me a hair style that’s different than what I have currently, and she pretty much just shortened my hair… granted it was neater and more clean, but I was really disappointed that nothing much had changed.
So overall, my suggestion is that if you’re going to Smart Cuts, definitely have a particular style in mind.

I’m writing this for my boyfriend, I went with him to get his haircut.
The place is a little outdated but put that aside because he got a great hair cut. Go to the woman in the front chair, I know she’s there on Saturday’s for sure. She was great. She really went all out to give him the hair cut he wanted. She used a buzzer, scissors, razor, etc. She was super efficient and very sweet.
This will be his new place by our apartment.

Smart cuts is the best! Seriously one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. And basically the same price as SuperCuts.

Chang is amazing! She clearly knows what she is doing and listens to what you want. I went in because I didn’t want to pay $ 40+ dollars for an undercut and had heard that Smart Cuts was great for men’s haircuts. But it’s also great for women’s haircuts! For half the price I would have paid at another salon, I got great service and a haircut I feel confident in.
I’m definitely recommending this place to people.

Nice owner and good small business. Better than the alternative which is supercuts. I’m all for keeping small businesses alive!
