Manager was so rude! I had a coupon for $ 1 off ANY purchase(that’s exactly how it was written on the coupon btw!) and I wanted to use it on cookies. He pointed to the sandwhich in the picture and said this only apples to sandwhich purchases… coupon said no restrictions and nothing about that. I wouldn’t have mind it so much if I hadnt used the same coupon earlier without a problem at a different location. I also work in retail so I didn’t want to be loud and create a scene over cookies of all things, but he kept yelling«I don’t want to argue!» Very unprofessional and bad customer service earns you a zero star!

Very nice staff. They try to make your sandwich efficiently and as fast as they can.

You can pretty much rely on getting the same type of product from most subway stores. And since each customer creates their own sandwich, you kind of know what you’re getting. So this review is less about the sandwich and more about the service. A couple years back, I would’ve given this place 5 stars without hesitating. I wish I had. I guess you just start to take things for granted when you always get consistent service visit after visit. The folks who worked there were extremely fast and efficient — and friendly! They knew their jobs very well and could speed through a lunch rush while still engaging in a bit of friendly banter. Lately, it seems like those experienced employees are nowhere to be found and there is constant turnover(i.e. new faces every time I go in) and I am pretty certain this is the culprit to the slower, less precise service. Plus, forget about trying to carry-on any type of small talk — not that this should be a major criterion — but perhaps it speaks to how the employees view their job. I saw another new face just the other day enjoying her cookie while standing in the customer area. Now I have seen employees in the past enjoying their lunch, but as they were sitting at a table, it was clear they were on break. This employee seemed to still be on the job. Odd. At the very least, maybe be aware of how your actions might appear to customers. Overall, this subway was a well oiled machine until it got tinkered with and now it is just ok.

One of the two best subway restaurants in providence. Some of the best sandwich artists.

Typical Subway outlet. Gets pretty crowded around mealtimes because it’s right on the Brown University campus(behind the CS department and Sciences Library, both of which are temporary homes for large droves of students), and you may be hard pressed to find a place to sit. Otherwise, the staff has always been courteous and efficient, and the ingredients are fresh: all the makings of a solid sandwich. Takeout is definitely the way to go to avoid the dreaded«Subway smell.»

The sandwich was not good enough to get over how rude and lackluster their customer service is! I wish I could remember the 2 guy’s names that were on that Sunday. Was about 7pm and it wasn’t all that busy. The guy that took my order literally had his head resting on his hand like he was about to take a nap. Any sandwich modifications I asked for seemed like a major inconvenience… The guy that cashed me out couldn’t be bothered to make eye contact with me. Or speak loud enough. When I asked him to repeat the total because I couldn’t hear he printed out the receipt and pointed to the total? Wtf? The sandwich wad typical Subway. I’m not sure why I went here instead of the other trillion AMAZING options on the East Side?
