Awesome sandwich. Ham on shredded pork is very good!

Thanks to the departure of Cuban Revolution it has become more difficult to get my cuban sandwich fix. Recently the craving hit and the only other place I knew to go to was up in N. Attleboro but we had plans that were taking us in the opposite direction.. . so I turned to my trusty Unilocal app. I am so thankful for the first reviewer of this place, if it wasn’t for you I would never have ventured out to find this place. It’s a small neighborhood corner store with plenty of parking on the street. The 2 men working were very friendly and made us a fresh & hot sandwich very quickly. The sandwich is big, it’s very long, I would say it literally was a foot long sandwich and I was happy we decided to just share one. It had plenty of tasty roast pork, ham, swiss cheese and mayo squished between two pieces of toasty delicious pressed bread, we opted to get ours with lettuce and tomato also. The only disappointment was it was missing the pickles and mustard that most of us expect when we think of a cuban sandwich. I’ve had many cuban sandwiches and this one was more like what I’ve had in southern Florida. I wasn’t expecting this style in New England but even without the tang of the pickle and mustard the sandwich was still delicious. So happy to have found a closer place to satisfy my craving, we will be back and next time I might not even share!

A certain corner bodega on Public Street is clutch for those in need of some TP or a pack of smokes. But when you’re starving and low on dough, they genuinely shine. Their Cuban sandwich, made of shredded pork, ham, swiss and a ton of fixins, loaded into a loaf of special bread and grill-pressed as is the norm in Pinar del Rio, is huge. Don’t forget the 75¢ jamon y queso empanada, plantain chips and apple soda. (All foodstuff was sampled by a taster for the reviewer, my cured-meat loving father).
