Such a great experience even in the off season. The service was great and super friendly. He was very patient and super stoked about the product on a freezing winter day even while everyone asked for samples(cause we all know how annoying that gets. Well, everyone except the people sampling). We got a pound of the Fudge which was some of the best homemade fudge I’ve tasted. Definitely recommend the Cranberry pecan, pistachio, and lemon flavor for a unique flavoring of fudge! This store literally has EVERYTHING. I was so excited to see the selection and unique flavor of the salt water taffy, fudge, and bulk candy. Made me feel like a little kid! Will definitely make it a point to return when visiting the cape!

Every time I’m in Provincetown I visit this place and go wild like a kid in a candy store. As a result I end up with a bag of taffy that supplies me for the next few months. I’m always tempted to get just a few of each interesting-sounding flavor. But there are so many interesting flavors I always end up with a bursting bag! Nothing I’ve had is icky — though I do like things sweet. Most are pretty tasty; lots of good fruit flavors. In my latest round of taste tests, pumpkin was actually kind of meh, but the salted caramel was amazing! Don’t miss out on the extra set of flavors in the back! There’s always cool music playing on the sound system, and the staff is always friendly.

They really take pride in their craft. Jen(the owner) is so kind. She sent me a complimentary package of goodies after an unsatisfactory experience a few months ago! A rare find for sure.

3 and a half stars for candy. The store was nice with tons of taffy and even made with Cape Cod sea salt. It was a little pricey but it is a tourist stop in a tourist summer town. We got some taffy to mail back to the west coast. See photos.

Who can go to Cape Cod without trying out some salt water taffy? cliché I know, but I think this is the place to go if you want to try it. You can walk into any old convenience store on the cape and buy a box of pre-mixed variety taffy — Cabot’s has large bins full of independent flavors you can make your own bag with! Instead of suffering through the flavors you dislike, around $ 8/pound will get you a good amount of candy. I walked away with 3 pieces for $.75(cranberry, watermelon, and strawberry). Im giving 4 stars because the taffy selection is amazing, but they do offer fudge and other assortments. Not as good of a selection, and you definitely don’t want to be buying fudge in the dead heat & humidity of the summer, it just didn’t work out for me! I did try samples after all, they were yummy.

I have never been much of a fan of taffy. I don’t like sticky foods/candies that get stuck in your teeth, and I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. So I never ever buy taffy. Thank goodness someone bought some for our office and I bravely tried a piece. There’s no way taffy everywhere can be this good. I’ve walked past too many stores on Pacific Ocean piers passing it up to let myself believe it’s all this good. Perhaps it’s the Atlantic Salt Water giving it the great flavor and texture. My boss kindly brought some home from his trip to Cape Cod and shared with the office today. I have fallen in love with Peanut Butter. I tried the yellow wrapped candy first, hoping it was lemon, but to my surprise, the peanut butter was creamy and delicious. I tried a couple others as well and they were all awesome. I’d definitely recommend grabbing a box for friends if youre passing through this area.(Send me some!) Good stuff!

Cute shop! Love all the salt water taffy flavors; a bit on the pricy side but fun for seaside candy store. Fudge galore for all you chocolate lovers! The old-timey feel is perfectly fitting for Provincetown. Overall — worth the sugar high and all the calories but you’ll definitely pay tourist prices!

We went crazy and got us 2+ lbs of salt water taffy. We threw away half of them after suffering from sugar level roller coaster by having1 lb of the candy within 30 mins… Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Then, we went back the next day and got ourselves 1.5 lbs of fudge… this time, we paced ourselves and finished them over 2 days — so we could keep our sugar level elevated for 48 hours straight… not a good idea for our health but we were very satisfied.

If you’re looking for an old-timey candy shop, you’re gonna love Cabot’s. They’ve got fudge,(yay!) salt water taffy(made on the premises), and quite an assortment of classic candies you’ll be likely to remember from your childhood. Though the shop is small, and, in season, likely to be overflowing with treat seeking tourists, the service is quick and friendly. Don’t fear the line, it goes quick and this stuff is worth it! Cabot’s Candy is a great, tasty way to take a walk down memory lane.

The saltwater taffy is great! They have a large selection of flavors and the taffy is soft and almost melts in your mouth, it’s not chewy and rubbery like most cheap saltwater taffy.

This place has some of the best fudge around! A little pricey, well pricey. They also make taffy here! Be careful, you might become an obese diabetic here.

While I’m not a fan of fudge, I do enjoy a good piece of taffy. I come to Provincetown a couple times a year, and each time, make sure to stock up on my taffy supply from Cabots. Sold by the lbs in boxes or bags, they have a variety that rivals almost no one else’s. Some basic flavors like watermelon, raspberry, plus a few odd ones that you wouldn’t have really expected. You can make your own assortment, or pick up a pre-made box. Prices aren’t exactly cheap, but they won’t break the bank. Nice little selection of some other sweets, and interesting products, such as jams. They’ve always had a few samples of fudge or the like out when I’ve gone in, although I’ve never cared much to sample it. It can get somewhat crowded, so I recommend going at a quieter time(morning, Sunday, etc). Staff(the one that I’ve seen) has always been friendly in that typical Provincetown way. Taffy is a little on the harder side of what I’m used to, so if you don’t enjoy that, either look elsewhere or keep it warm right before eating.

OMG fudge. Rocky road, turtle, chocolate hazlenut, more rocky road. Just remembered I had some fresh-packed(laugh all you want) fudge sitting in the fridge and, thanks to Cabot’s, am one happy camper. Even back in the city. (I’ve heard the salt water taffy is some of the best. It’s not my thing, but their almond flavor almost had me converted.)

4.5 stars… Cape Cod is one of those places where everywhere you turn there’s either a taffy and fudge place or an ice cream place. Cabot’s Candy is one of those taffy and fudge places(they also have more types of candy there) that have made a pretty big name for themselves as they’ve produced some of the area’s best sugary treats since 1927. They’re located right on Commercial Street not too far from the Pilgrim Monument. The shop is super clean and light and open feeling and the guy working there was very friendly, just what I like to see in someone selling candy. Prices are pretty standard and if you’re one of those people who love saltwater taffy or homemade fudge I’m sure you wouldn’t need to go any further than Cabot’s. In addition to the candy they also have a door in the back that connects to a pretty good neighboring souvenir shop that stocks mostly shells of all types and sizes(rarely do any of the shells actually come from the Cape but you usually have to go to a beach town to find shops that sell those kind of items).

Great selection of saltwater taffy! The guy who worked there was pretty hot too(this is coming from a straight girl btw). Freaking sexy accent. I’d go back just to flirt with him… and get more taffy of course. :)

I ended up with their peanut M&M fudge and their cookies and cream fudge. For about $ 5, I got a half pound’s worth of fudgy goodness. They also have a good deal of taffy, as well as some fun other candies, like mini gummi pizzas :)

There is a part of this store that reminds me of the Yankee Candle main store in Deerfield, MA. Similar to the huge barrels filled with all different scents of votive candles, that is how they stock their housemade salt water toffee at Cabots. I made it a mission to come as a favor to another Unilocaler, whose fondest thoughts of provincetown seem to be linked to Salt Water Taffy. It is a nice shop, cute, good service, but very typical of most small coastal towns with a good tourist income. Salt water taffy, post cards, lobster lollies, and assorted other tasty treats. Like the P-town inhabitants, most of the taffy is colorful and fruity, and a great addition to a perfect day.

Nom nom nom nom nom… Yup I’m the one who bought 4 lbs of taffy. Needless to say I don’t really need 4 lbs of taffy, but who can resist all the choices in flavors?! And it’s TAFFY!!! Nom nom nom nom nom… Yup I think I just got another cavity. Anyone else want in on the taffy ’cause I gots a whole bucket. And it only cost me $ 22 and change. *tosses another piece of taffy in mouth* I know it’s only 8 am! Leave me alone!

A little something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. From the traditional to the novelty, every sugar-coma-inducing goody can be found here. But look past those and feast your eyes on two specialties: 1. House-made fudge(yes, they pack their own fudge in P-Town…I was shocked, too) 2. House-made saltwater taffy. Growing up on the Jersey Shore, I’ve had my share of this gooey treat and Cabot’s ranks right up there with the best of them! A personal favorite: chocolate peanut butter! You can even buy taffy(in many, many flavors) byt the four-pound bucket load. Just in case you’re in the market to rot all of your teeth out in Guiness-Book-of-World-Records time!
