Reasonably priced for the food… Service was just okay.. Our waiter seemed a tad rushed. Lobster ravoili was wholesome. Loves the cream sauce & the crunchy bread crumble topping. Sashimi was so fresh. Thick slices of delicious raw tuna. Yummy?!? The cajun boulassi was so delicious. Spicy cajun broth filled w/a whole mesh of seafood: calamari, clams, mussles & shrimp. Plus adding in a half of a 1 ¼ lb lobster? Oh, hell yes! And the delicious bits of onions, potatoes, celery & tomatoes. Lobster Pot is a popular spot so be prepared to wait. Casual ambience and get ready to get down & dirty for some delicious seafood!

Would have been nice if the site mentioned they were closed until April. Not a happy camper.

The food at Lobster Pot was really good. The service was rally weird … kind of hilarious. It is right on the water. I didn’t like the dessert, which is disappointing. The bisque was good but not chunky, I am more of a chunky kind of girl. The main courses were really good. The décor was outdated in a not so cute way. It was kind of mangy. Parking is $ 6 in the lot across the way. It was fun to walk the pier after and take pictures. Ptown is a cute place.

Great atmosphere, service, and specialty cocktails. Oh, and there is lobster too! There are ample choices on the menu with good sized portions for the price. I was slightly disappointed in the lobster bisque, which was very heavy with not as much lobster as one expects, but everything else was outstanding. This is a great stop to sit back, enjoy a couple of cocktails along with seafood along the waterfront in Provincetown.

This looks like the ultimate tourist trap right on Commercial street. After reading the Unilocal reviews, we decided to give it a try. We opted to sit upstairs and were given a great table right next to the patio doors overlooking the bay. The hostess was really sweet and friendly and we were also lucky to get the nicest server alive, James! He was very helpful answering questions about the menu and giving recommendations. I ordered the Bloody Mary, which was really great and the presentation was spectacular. My bf and I each ordered a cup of the clam chowder which was good, but there are better chowda’s elsewhere. We ordered off the appetizer menu: lobster avocado cocktail, lobster taco and a half dozen oysters. We came hungry and left stuffed though it didn’t seem like we ordered that much. Bottom line: there are definitely better places to eat, but we weren’t disappointed. The table next to us ordered 2 of the bouillabaisses and they looked fantastic!

This place is very welcoming. It was busy when we walked in and we had about a 10 minute wait before seating. The waitress was very friendly and nice. The service was prompt and quick. The raw clams were very fresh, our shellfish algarve with lobster was delicious fresh! The lobster avocado cocktail is a must try! Also the clam chowder was decent but not amazing as I would think. The chowder was suppose to be award winning but I think I have had better. We also received a complementary bread basket which I loved. I would definitely come back and dine here again if I were to visit cape cod again.

The Lobster Pot is a Provincetown institution. Lively atmosphere, an overwhelmingly large menu, friendly servers, and plenty of tourists. The food itself was average, but it was secondary to the experience. I dined here with a large group of 15+. It coincidentally happened to be National Lobster Day. I told my bf this fun fact, and he proceeded to order the largest lobster they had on hand. This monster weighed in at just over 13 lbs. The waiter estimated the lobster was 80 years old. I felt sort of bad for the poor guy. FOOD: The 13 lb boiled lobster tasted quite good. He was tougher than most, but not unpleasantly so. The flavor was noticeably aged, in a good way, like properly cellared wine. Some earthy notes and generally more depth of flavor. I usually find lobsters to be more bland than crab, so this was an improvement. Lobster Avocado Cocktail — One of the more popular apps. I enjoyed this combo with the mango, a mix of sweet and savory. Sopa Do Mar — This was one hearty seafood soup. Very generous portions of mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari. The description mentioned orzo, but I didn’t get any orzo in the dish. It wasn’t missed though, as the seafood itself was more than filling. The taste was nothing to rave about, one-dimensional and underseasoned. But it still hit the spot. AMBIANCE: Fun, casual, lively atmosphere. The staff was appropriately loud, and the dining room was bustling with energy from both the staff and the diners. Like I said, come here with a fun group for the experience, not the food. SERVICE: Our waiter was really into his job. He was full of energy, handed our large group well, kept the drinks coming, and happily posed with the large lobster for photos. The hostess did give our group some attitude about not being seated until everyone arrived. She ended up seating us anyway, so it was all good.

Everything started off well. After only 5 minutes wait we were seated upstairs in front of the window for lunch. It took another 10 minutes or so to order drinks. We got the bloody Mary which was excellent and a tito cucumber lemonade(which had good flavor, but not much titos) Next, we split a bowl of clam chowder. Definitely a solid showing. It paired well with the complimentary bread basket which contained sourdough bread, a spiced flatbread, and a slightly sweet? pumpkin bread. For mains, my bf made the mistake of ordering the spicy bbq jumbo shrimp at $ 27. Disappointing that the 6 shrimp were medium +sized, and he subbed the orzo for 2 very small roasted potatoes. The sauce has excellent flavor, but heavily cream based. My lobster roll was the panini one… for $ 19 I was told that it had more lobster than the traditional roll… doubtful. I even had many bites without lobster, although the photo doesn’t really show that. Also, too much mayo… please take this away and bring me a grace church lobsta roll!!! Ya know what I am saying! !! Service was on the slower side but otherwise, great. Like many of the reviews state… really more of a tourist trap than a foodie joint.

Great restaurant on commercial street in Provincetown, cape cod. The three best things about Lobster Pot is its location, lobster buzzer, and service. And the food is amazing! Lobster Pot is right by the harbor in the middle of commercial street so we found ourselves using it as a landmark in the area. There is typically a long wait. we waited ~1 hr for a party of 6 but they gave us a lobster that buzzed when the table was ready. It was so great to be able to shop on the streets while waiting for our table! Once our table was ready, we quickly got seated in a table with a waterfront view and were greeted by a really nice server. Although she was really bad at taking a group photo for us(took about 10 photos and maybe 2 had all 6 of us and all were too dark anyways), she was very sweet. The food was delicious! I ordered way too much as I sampled the lobster risotto balls(must-try), mussels with marinara and two bouillabaisses. For the stews, it costs $ 8 to add lobster to any. The Cajun bouillabaisse was delicious and extremely hearty. Most of us also got drinks which were strong and pretty looking.

Since many iconic restaurant reviews are based on nostalgia I really wasn’t expecting the food and service here to be some of the best I’ve experienced — but more a mediocre tourist assembly line. To say I was impressed would be an understatement and wouldn’t convey the level of excitement I had leaving this place. The service was the perfect mix of comical, attentive but not overbearing and genuinely pleasant. My fresh made basil lemonade gin cocktail was like the nectar of the Gods. And the food, oh the incredible food. I opted for the clam cake appetizer which was likely one of the best things I’ve ever had, ever. Crispy, fresh, soft inside. For dinner I ordered the stuffed shrimp and made that a surf and turf meal, was just flawless. The seafood stuffing was fresh and buttery, the filet was cooked to perfection and was easier to slice than the butter for the heavenly breads they provide as a starter. I can’t think of enough adjectives to describe how incredible this place was. Family friendly, even toys on the deck for the kids to play with — great drinks, even better food. I would come to PTown just for another meal here. Honest. And what a beautiful location! Overlooking the water. It just doesn’t get better. You’ve got to try it and just be blown away by your own expectations and experience.

The first night in town, we faced an hourlong wait to eat at #TheLobsterPot: It is that good! We returned for lunch a couple days later and planned ahead with reservations. It can be pricey, so plan for that. The food was spot on, though I prefer much sweeter mochacchinos(it was a weird thing to order, but I needed coffee stat!!) The lobster was very flaky and tender! Love it!
