As someone from California, I love tri-tip. Living in Utah, however, presents a challenge in finding tri-tip, much less tri-tip that is good. Cubby’s nails it with both their salads and sandwiches. The Rosemary fries are great too.

Try the Citrus Kale Salad. It was amazing and I can’t wait to try and mimic the recipe at home!

Second time going was just as good as the first! This time however I tried the Mac n’ cheese as a side and it was really good! I will definitely get that again! Go if you’re in the mood for a good BBQ sandwich or salad or anything else.

Cubby’s was bomb. A friend of mine said its a Utah staple so I had to try it! I got the 6in tri-tip steak sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce which was made to perfection! The roll was nice and soft, possibly home made haha I couldn’t tell. The meat was very tender and they weren’t stingy about it either, they definitely give a good amount. The toppings like the caramelized onions and spices were an excellent touch not only in flavor but in texture. As expected of a fully stuffed sand which, it was kind of messy trying to eat but it was loaded with so much goodness I can’t complain. My only critique would be that the spicy BBQ wasn’t spicy enough for me and my friend. Maybe they can have a mild BBQ and a spicy BBQ for the heat seekers. I would definitely come back again and again cause this place was so good. Side note: as a person trying to watch their diet, hopefully Cubby’s can get a nutrition menu up for the folks who want to know what they’re eating.

I like the Mr. Beef, dipped, with hot giardiniera. It’s a delicious sandwich. Every time I go to order it, however, I’m always asked, «Have you had a Mr. Beef before? Do you know what it is?» Yes, I know what it is. I’m not illiterate or stupid. If for some reason staff are so confused when someone orders the Mr. Beef, maybe they shouldn’t offer it anymore so they stop treating their customers like simpletons. Also, the giardiniera isn’t really that hot.

I’ve yet to be disappointed at Cubby’s. The food tastes surprisingly fresh and light. We have a tougher time when we go here with kids as they don’t love their kids menu. My kids love plain fried chicken nuggets and non-rosemary fries when we go, but they manage. I prefer the Lehi location to the Provo, but the food is great at either.

This restaurant has quick service and the tastiest food in town. I would highly recommend the Houdini burger. I also like the heart attack which is a sausage and brisket sandwich. The steak sandwich is the best thing on the menu. They have reasonable prices ranging from five dollars to fifteen dollars. The food is very fresh and you can tell it’s homemade. Their salads are very good too. Anything on the menu is good. The last time I went their I saw maroon 5 they say celebrities regularly stop in. My cousin saw the whole studio c cast there. If you go their, watch out for your favorite celebrity.

We came here looking to try their Italian beef sandwich. What we got was definitely an Italian beef sandwich. Flavorful, rich, juicy, messy, and sour is exactly what we wanted. Their fries were also really nice and had a few more choices for dipping sauces. No complaints!

I’ve always loved Cubbys. I came when they first open and for some weird reason taken a break the last couple years. I went again for lunch a couple days ago and I wish I had never stopped going. We got the steak salad and wow, the most amazing salad I’ve ever had. The flavors of everything was sooo good. Their BBQ buffalo blue cheese fries were amazing too. I normally don’t like blue cheese but it was surprisingly delicious.

Honestly I only get the salads when I come here, but they are SO good. Tri tip is my favorite. Prices are decent. I love the feel of the place, and the service at this particular Cubby’s is always excellent, super friendly and helpful employees. Recently they’ve been giving away more free meals and gift cards, which as a college student, that speaks to my poor heart. Keep it up!

My boyfriend has been begging for us to try Cubby’s out for a long time now. I always resisted because, for whatever reason, I imagined this was a Southern BBQ joint, and I’m just not into that type of food. Well, I was extremely wrong, folks. Not sure if it was just my extremely low expectations going into it, but I really loved this place. I got the Pikey sandwich. Was a little cold on the inside, I almost asked for it to somehow be heated up more, which is the reason I am giving it a 4 star. That being said, the taste of the sandwich was great, so I let it slide. My boyfriend ordered the Houdini burger. We also shared some of the rosemary peppered fries. Those were the show-stopper! Perfectly seasoned and crispy. The décor on the inside was cute and I just enjoyed the general vibe of the place. Definitely want to come back here and try the Tri Tip Steak Salad.

I came here on my lunch break and got the try tip salad. It was absolutely wonderful. Their ingredients are fresh in their food tastes clean and well prepared. It is a fast food type restaurant but it doesn’t have a fast food taste.

Besides the Houdini and the Tri-Tip, this place is very underwhelming. It always seems to be dry to me. I understand the concept, and I appreciate the try. But when it comes to burgers, the most essential part is the burger, and the buns. If you fail on those two, the rest will not make up for it. Why are the 3 stars and not less? Because I said so. And because their sweet potato fries are great as well as there 2 sandwiches that I mentioned. Service is also well done. No complaints there.

OMGosh, they serve great juicy hamburgers. I love that their meats are grass fed and free range. I order a simple plain basic hamburger which is the healthiest. They do have other hamburgers that are full of flavors you can order that has blue cheese, bacon, cheese, etc. I go eat there once a month. Their price is reasonable and portions are just right.

Awesome option for a really good burger or salad in Provo. Fun ambiance, friendly service, and reasonable prices. But the kicker? Sweet potato fries. OK, lots of people have SP fries. And I have had a *lot* of SP fries in my lifetime. What makes these special? Oh, maybe that they’re just the best ever. You know, whatevs. How do I sell these sufficiently without overselling? Let’s see — they’re perfect(too strong?)… they’re amazing(overused?)… they’re a harmonized balance of crunchy-soft-crispy-sweet-salty? Yeah, that sounds about right. Well worth stopping by.

I honestly don’t know how I am just now sharing my opinion about Cubby’s!I love it and everything about it! Their Tri-Tip sandwich is a game changer for sure! I love everything about it: it is huge(you can opt for the smaller choice), filled with tender bits of chopped tri tip, loaded with flavor(you choose the sauce you want on it), all between a huge toasted roll. Cubby’s has really exposed a market niche here in that I don’t really know of any other establishment in Utah where a big tri-tip sandwich like this one is offered. If tri-tip isn’t your thing, they have so many other options whether it be a salad or a sandwich, I can guarantee you can find something you will enjoy. And whichever sandwich or salad you end up ordering, don’t forget to order some of the best sweet potato fries around! They are really just delightful! I love the atmosphere and overall theme of the interior! It is «casual» dining so you order at the counter and then find an open table. The price is exactly what it should be; this isn’t fast food, it is casual dining that offers high quality in pretty large quantities so don’t be stingey!

This was my favorite place when I went to school here and when I moved I really really REALLY missed it. So, of course, it was my first stop straight from the airport on my visit back! You can’t go wrong with any of their salads and what is a salad without sweet potato fries on the side!!! I could drink their fry sauce, it is so good.

Eh, I think Cubby’s is good, but doesn’t meet up to all the hype around it. Their menu items are a bit more expensive than I think matches the actual quality of the food, but my guess is they are using fresh ingredients which drives up costs. So while fresh ingredients are great, I wish their food would be a bit more memorable. I will say though that I do enjoy their Tri-Tip sandwich, and they have a great chipotle fry sauce. Atmosphere is clean and rustic at the Provo location. It is more modern at the Spanish Fork location.
