Yes, better than Cupbop. I like everything at Koko better. Even the prices. Simple menu, nothing is a miss. Order any of it and be happy. My favorite is the Spicy Pork bowl. The kimchi fried rice is beyond delicious — I can’t even think about it, or I find myself driving there to get it. I have not tried any of the beef dishes, including Bibimbap, because I don’t eat too much beef. But I’m considering trying the Bibimbap here because everything else is good. The service has always been friendly, helpful, and quick. Location makes it easy to get in and out without any hassle. Even when it’s crowded there’s plenty of parking and tables inside. Pro tips:(1) don’t pay $ 1 extra for the salad(box). It’s good, but it’s really only lettuce; and(2) ask it they have any specials that aren’t on the menu. They usually do. I’m a regular here.

Nice place to sit and eat. Pretty good food, but not great. My portion was small, even though I bought the larger portion. I was still hungry when I left.

Everything was great! We were kinda nervous to try this because we hate CupBop and we lie more authentic Korean food. My husband is from Hawaii and he loved his food too! We will definitely come back.

Recent transplant from Koreatown to Utah. I was missing good old homestyle Korean grub and decided to come with Koko Lunchbox a try. I wasn’t impressed in the least. I ordered the Spicy Pork bowl. The man at the counter said that it came with japchae and rice, and I was excited. What I got tasted nothing like I expected. The spicy pork was a HEAVILY wok-fried slab of thin pork. While it did have an element of spice, it wasn’t from gochujang or gochugaru. I’m not exactly sure what went into the flavors, but it didn’t taste anything like any Korean food I’ve had before(and I’ve had«spicy pork» probably 50 times). Especially with the manner of frying, it tasted more like standard Chinese takeout than a Korean dish. The«japchae» was not japchae. It was simply soggy sweet potato noodles drowning in sesame oil. The rice was well prepared, however. I threw the majority of my bowl away. I was very disappointed and will not be back.

Really great food and cute place. wish they had a better sign though– it doesn’t represent the place well. The restaurant seemed questionable at first because of the way it looked. I had the K1 box and it was amazing. Great place.

Just fantastic. I ordered the bibimbop in the hot stone bowl. The egg was perfect, and the house hot sauce was delicious. Mixed it all up, and ate every last grain of rice. My wife got the spicy pork. It was excellent as well, I’ll probably be getting that next time. As others have said, the portions are generous. I don’t know Korean food as well as some, but it seemed more authentic then cupbop. To me it was better. Very excited to have this in close proximity!

If you want good Korean food this is the place to go. The portions are perfect and the price isn’t high like other Korean places. Way better than Cupbop. Seriously ditch that place and go here, you’ll be much more satisfied. I have tried the pork bulgogi and it comes with a large serving of rice, salad and chapchae(a noodle dish). I’ve also tried the bi bim bop in a stone bowl which was even better. I do think Cupbop has better Mandoo because of the sauce but you get way more here for the same price. The owner also stayed late for us, when we called to see if they were open.

I’m always down to try new places in Provo, and Koko Lunchbox definitely didn’t upset, but I wasn’t overly impressed. I got the Pork Bulgogi and the ribs. Everything was really good, but I feel that the pork could have been a bit more flavorful. Service was good and the whole place looks really nice. Like I said it was good, but nothing amazing. I’d go again if I’m craving korean bbq but don’t want to suffer through the long wait at Sam Hawk Grill.

Korean food is definitely picking up here in Provo! And you know what I like about it all? They are all being different! Cupbop is about the sauce. They are all about adding a certain notch of spice depending on who you are. KoKo is about the flavor of what they give you. It’s nothing crazy with sauces and such, but just well made Korean food. Super authentic? No. But is it close? Yeah. The food was quick, great portions and the price point is spot on. 4 stars for being a great place to eat in Provo. And conviniently located as well! I got the Spicy Pork. It won my belly. I got the box, but next time a bowl would do. I’m a light eater. KOKO. FTW. (Not 5 stars because I wasn’t blown away. Those are special to me).

Love this place! 5x better than Panda Express and way more authentic. Also better than Cup Bop, you get way more for your money. So far I’ve got the Spicy Pork Box, Sweet Beef Box, and Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice, Spicy Pork was probably my favorite, and also the Fried Rice if you like Kimchi flavor. Nice little place, good price, portions are good for one person and you’ll have a little left over with a box, the bowl is perfect for one. The Mochi Donuts are also a great finish to the meal! And they have fun Korean sodas, I’ve tried the Milkis, and its like an orange dreamsicle with sprite. So good!

I’m not Korean but I would wager that this is just like momma’s cooking. If you have never had Korean then you had better start here because you are missing out. The service is really great, they’re attentive and helpful. The food is good and you get a lot of food for a great price. They even have Mochi Doughnuts which alone are worth a visit. The location is great, just by BYU campus. It’s ideal for a quick lunch but comfortable enough that you can hang out a while. They might even give you a sample Mochi Doughnut if you stop by. This is my first time and I can say I will totally be back!

Best Korean food in Provo/Orem. Delicious Spicy Pork at a great price. Super friendly service and a nice open space.

Koko Lunchbox is a great little place. It is comparable to the famous Utah food truck, Cupbop, but I would say it is better. You get more food for the price, and there are also more options. I got the Spicy Pork(pork and noodles on a bed of rice.) I went for the box option, which is a dollar more than the bowl, and the only difference is you get a decent salad. I would suggest just going with the bowl. The pork was probably a five out of ten on the spicy scale, but it was a nine out of ten on the tastiness scale. I hesitate giving a five star review, because nothing really blew my mind, but everything was more than just good – hence the four stars. I definitely plan on coming back to try the other menu items. It’s conveniently located close to BYU campus, and it satisfies my Asian food cravings. Yay!

So excited to see another Korean place in town, especially after Spicy Corea closed. Going on Tuesdays is worth it for the Jajangmyeon! Everything we’ve had so far was excellent; we’ll be regulars.

This place is my favorite Korean restaurant now. The meat was tender and seasoned. if you come here, the box set is the way to go. It comes with japchae, salad, and a good portion of meat and rice. I would eat here over any other Korean place in Provo. Everything is made fresh.

My parents and I went to Koko’s last night for dinner and it was so fantastic. We ended up ordering the following — Sweet Beef — Spicy Pork — Bibimbap — Kimche Fried Rice The portions are very generous for the price(but I’m from California so maybe I am biased) but with the beef and spicy pork we were also given some Japchae noodles as well as salad. It was so tasty. The service was very nice and the food was so good. I definitely recommend and hope that others try! Everything is made fresh!

This place is really good. I was really sad when spicy correa closed because they had really good Kimchi rice. But Koko lunchbox has amazing kimchi rice now! We also got the Spicy Pork and it was really good as well. 10⁄10 will eat again.
