Service was quick and the food was amazing! I tried the Al Pastor, El Pollo, and Vaquero tacos. I’m definitely coming back for more, and bringing friends.

I’ve been looking for legit Mexican food in Provo ever since Taco-n-Tento shut down, to my great dismay. These tacos are the real deal. They even have tongue and stuff, which I’ve been too white and nervous to try, but it’s a marker for me that it’s legit, and not some sanitized American menu. Not a place to take a fancy date, but to go with friends. It’s tasty! :) Can’t wait to try the torta and burritos!

The asada tacos were delicious. Really authentic. I enjoyed the al pastor meat as well, even though it was a little dry. 4 stars because the salsa bar was just okay. Not many options and not much flavor. The red salsa tasted like straight chili powder. Otherwise, it was really delicious. Nice meat tacos for only $ 1.25. We will come again!

Ok. Here is the deal. I have passed by this place many times but didn’t try it until a friend recommended it. The location and interior is pretty sketchy, but the tacos are great. I love the idea of $ 1.25 street tacos. I got al pastor, carne asada, chicken and chorizo street tacos. They were all delicious. One complaint I have is the salsa bar. The glass top of the bar is frosted so it was really hard to see what I was putting on my tacos. It would also be nice to know what the different sauces were. However I give it 4-stars because of the price and deliciousness of the tacos. If I were rating this place on location and the building itself it would get like 2-stars. Go for the tacos not the ambiance.

Not a nice location or interior by any means, but they make good tacos! I got the carne asada tacos, the al pastor, and carnitas. The al pastor and carne asada were definitely a strong point. They were absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly on two flour tortillas. The carnitas were okay, definitely not as good as the other two. The quesadilla was SO delicious. The cheese was amazing. Overall this place is super good, definitely satisfies the taco craving and leaves you wanting more.

I used to go here all the time but today was not a good day. I got 11 tacos and all of them were dry as hell and the meat was over cooked. I don’t know if they had the same cooks like back then but they really downgraded. Was looking for some authentic tacos and now I’m highly dissapointed.

Tried this little place and loved it! Tacos were delicious, came out very quickly. Able to add own toppings. Horchata was fabulous and they had lots of yummy Mexican sodas. This is now my go to cheap Mexican place! I want to try all their food!

This is the real deal. It’s just a hole in the wall but the burritos are amazing! Be careful with the red sauce, it’s hot!

Since Diego closed down, we were looking for a good taco joint in the area. Unilocal lead us here. The carne and al pastor are both excellent. Good quality meat for $ 1.25 tacos. Delicious!!!

Very tasty! If you are craving some tacos, as close to the original tacos in México City, this is the place. I tried the taco of tripas and carne asada. We also had their huarache de carnitas and it was very good as well. The salsas are also very good(salsa /condiments bar) specially the red one. Agua de Horchata was good and refreshing!

I live in salt lake and anytime I’m or near Provo I make it a point to eat here. This place is seriously the greatest hole in the wall. In my opinion, it blows lone star and any other taqueria in salt lake out of the water. I love getting a carne asada taco and splitting a cheese quesadilla. It’s seriously what dreams are made of.

This place has everything I want from a taqueria. Mostly native patrons, fútbol playing on big screen TVs, and a handwritten whiteboard menu. The carne asada and al pastor tacos are served hot and fresh on mini corn tortillas. It also features a fully stocked authentic salsa bar. We learned that you should order 6 tacos per person to be fully satisfied. The menu also includes several other items that look tasty. We will definitely be returning and soon!

I am a pretty big fan of mexican food and this was a pretty decent place. Perhaps one of the best in Provo. It’s hard to compare because I am from Southern California and I think I’m biased towards that style with California burritos and fish tacos. I have had the carne asada burrito a couple of times and it’s okay but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. One thing that kind of turned me off was the fact that they put rice in the burrito. Rice is just a tasteless filler and it speaks to the quality of the restaurant that they would put rice in there. The salsas didn’t really do it for me either. That being said I would continue to go here because it might be one of the better places in Provo.

I was craving some street tacos and Unilocal led me here. The reviews I saw say it’s $.99 per taco but now they changed it to $ 1.25. Keep your receipt because before they hand you your food they thoroughly check it. We waited a long while for our food but there were some confusion with our order and the family who ordered after us got the food first… But honestly I don’t mind coming back because the waitress was apologetic and being very nice about it. There’s a cilantros, cabbage, onion and salsa bar right in front of the register so you can get your tacos and add as much of those stuffs as you want, which is a plus for me since I can’t seem to ever get enough of cilantros and lime. We got the al pastor, carnitas, pollo, and Asada. I enjoyed all of them except not much for the pollos. The rest was well seasoned, especially the Asada. Not the best-est tacos place I have ever had, but for the price, it’s pretty worth it!

I’ll make this short and sweet… Taco Al Pastor– yummy, i prefer my pineapple on it a little sweet, but the meat was tender and well seasoned, the tortillas are great on the tacos Carne Asada– also yummy to the second power, the meat is super soft, and the right blend of spices and flavors(I RECOMMENDBOTHTACOS1.25 a Piece) Horchata — i just wish it was a little creamier, it has a nice cinnamon taste, but it was about 11% watered down… yes that is a scientific fact VERDICT: if you like tacos you gotta try it out… and if you don’t well…(i got nothing witty) if i am ever craving a taco ill consider going back

I’ve never had«authentic» Mexican tacos but we loved this place. My little family and I(husband, daughter + I) ordered a few different tacos to try, 10 altogether. We were so full by the end. We tried the fish, asada, el pastor, tripa, chorizo, and pollo tacos, then washed it all down with a small horchata. My favorite was the pollo and asada, wasn’t a fan of the texture of el pastor(too much gristle) and I thought the el pastor and fish tacos were kind of bland. Husband liked the tripa, pollo and asada. They offer all their tacos as burritos and enchiladas, and have 2 or 3 drink options. There’s not much else to their menu though, no sides, desserts, etc. Like another reviewer said it was made fresh after we ordered, nice to know they don’t have them sitting around all day. All the tacos were good, and I loved the sauces(a spicy red, avocado, + cilantro) as well as the condiments available(fresh cabbage slaw, cilantro, radishes). We don’t eat a lot of meat at home, so when the tacos came out(small piles of meat atop 2 little corn tortillas) I was grateful for the extra greens we could add on top. Even my toddler loved them, but mostly the horchata. The price was cheap($ 1 tacos), the ambience was interesting(Latino soap operas on tv + people running around upstairs-?), and the lady at the counter only spoke Spanish, but the food was good.

Okay, this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I had a certificate for $ 10 which garnered me 8 tacos — so I tried 8 different types. Here’s the rundown: Asada — 4 stars. Tender, but could have used a bit more seasoning and char. Chorizo — 4 stars. Quality meat, not too greasy. Carnitas — 3 stars. Certainly not bad, but you can get better. Not as «porky» tasting as I would like. Buche(pork stomach) — 3 stars. Not something I would normally get, but nicely salty and porky. Pollo — 5 stars. Tender and juicy, well-seasoned. Al Pastor — 4 stars. Good flavor from the spices, juicy. Cabeza — 5 stars. I don’t normally get cabeza because it’s so greasy. This had a very beefy flavor without all the grease. Don’t be afraid to try this! Lingua — 3 stars. I’m not a big fan of tongue, but this was better than most. Nice and tender. Ultimately there’s a lot to like here. It wouldn’t hurt to have some more variety on the salsa bar, but the salsas were good. Definitely try it out if you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food.

It’s so hard for me to dislike tacos. I’m probably really biased but really… these are good. And I love tacos probably more than I love my own family, but here I am often tempted to get huaraches because they’re giant and delicious. Most of the orders here are gigantic. I can’t recommend the birria enough. It’s so tasty. The Al Pastor is not the best but still really delicious and satisfying. And cheap. Like holy cheap. I almost feel bad for getting it so cheap. Don’t let the sketchy exterior turn you away. Go forth and eat.
