In response to Sian’s response: We called you directly and you were still difficult to work with. Never an apology, but you did manage to admonish and blame me for how I booked. I was actually taken back when you did that. That’s not right, Sian. I’m not going to let you pass the buck. Having contracts with Expedia & HI Discount was your choice for your exposure and an option for your customers. Yes, it was my choice to book that way, but you’re the only business we have ever had issues with using a third party like that. So one does have to wonder. Good for you to leave those contracts, but doesn’t change my mind on how you handle customers. If you understood hospitality, you would just say «I apologize.» Never got that so you remain a prideful and inconsiderate business owner. In a lot of ways, my husband and I are glad we didn’t spend a morning with you. Aloha.

We had purchased a kayaking & snorkeling tour for 2 and were looking forward to enjoying this as a honeymoon activity. We were told to show up for check in at 9, and arrive promptly at 8.30am. 9am came and went with no tour organizers showing up. We called Expedia whom we bought the tickets through. And they responded quickly to our voicemail. The excuse provided by Kohala Kayak was that an emergency came up, which I’m fine with, but the fact we had to do the chasing instead of them calling us left a bad impression. You simply can’t run a business with this low service quality. We adapted for the rest of the day, but purposefully had left our camera at the hotel so missed some great photo opportunities. Do yourself a favor and pick another tour or activity that is more assured.

We had a great trip with Sian In Pauko Bay. Kayaks were in the water upon arrival and we were Kayaking within 5 mins of parking. The 3 hour trip lasted 4.5 hours! We encountered a group of whales on our way back in and we paddled back our to go see them, even though we were well past the time our tour was supposed to be over! He is knowledgeable and ensures you have a great time.

Fantastic teaching lessons with regards to SUP. My husband and I had an amazing time last week. He was able to get up in about 10 minutes and I was up in 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this Sean to anyone who values patience in mastering the skills of a new activity. Thank you Sean for the amazing first experience in SUP. When we go to the big island again, we will hit you up for more lessons and talk story.

My family and I took a kayak tour from Sian and his wife last winter and it was amazing. They are knowledgable, safe and patient. We saw whales and had a blast!
This year we took advantage of kayaking and trying our hand at stand up paddle boarding and had a fantastic time!
I highly recommend this outfit!

We took a kayak and snorkeling tour this week and had a fab time! Sean was both informative and entertaining. And also totally prepared. Two members of the party became sea sick and boom, he whipped out a natural remedy to soothe the stomach. This was on top of the gear, water snacks. This tour was a great deal!
