I was visiting a local high school in Pueblo, and they took me here for my first slopper. I thought Broadway’s was fantastic! Their green chili and fries were great! I liked the touch of lettuce on it for texture. Service was fast and friendly, too!

The Broadway is a townie bar in every sense of the word. One of my friends sings here during the week and so I have been in quite a few times. Food is typical bar fare but still pretty good, and drinks are strong and CHEAP. I get the impression that I’m usually charged for only about ¾ of the drinks they actually pour me, since their system seems to rely on bartender memory versus POS or even paper guest checks. Not complaining. The folks who work here are nice too. Adam and Smiley are both pretty chill, and I’m convinced that Carolyn is my AARP-member soulmate. Mostly because I’ve seen her take bombs at 12 noon and I get the feeling that she could have owned a happening gay bar at some point in her life. She’s amazing. The other female bartender that works during the day is pretty surly, so I try to avoid her. Actually, just go for Carolyn.

Wow. This is a hidden gem in Pueblo and as historical as any other in town. It is small but not too small. The crowd is friendly locals. There is a lot of history in dem’der walls literally! Ask about it! Loved looking at all the old pics on the wall inclusive of the Italian Sportsman Club and my hubbie’s fave Dan Marino as a young man was all teeth! The food is amazing and a perfect place to take our out of town guests to kind of get a taste of some local Pueblo faves. A grinder which they call Joe’s something. Chicken tacos on white and the slopper. We also tried the reuben in which the corned beef is spiced, brined and cooked all by them. All their food is made fresh daily. The meat ground there. Buns from a bakery around the corner. And it hand’s down beats any of the other jaunts in Pueblo who do the same meals. Hence they offer a lot more on their menu. There is one pool table. The beers are ice cold. The server, owner and patrons are super friendly. Stop by as you will not regret a great meal and some cold ones here!!!
