TERRIBLE!!! We randomly decided to stop in last weekend because we had some time to kill. As vegetarians it is sometimes hard for us to eat out but we can usually find something at most places. Not much to choose from but we decided on the«bean and avocado tostadas» and I asked the waiter if they could make me the same thing in white taco form. The food came and we got nothing but tacos(no tostadas) and we got 5 when we ordered 4. No big deal. Until I bit into it and realized it was COLD and completely filled with avocado(no beans at all). Just a cold mouthful of blah unseasoned avocado. Finally got the waiter’s attention and he apologized and took the dishes back(we thought to remake them). Came back out a few minutes later and they had just scooped up refried beans and plopped a scoop on top of each taco! They didn’t even bother to open them up to put them inside! Again… Cold! To top off the horrible experience; they overcharged us and acted inconvenienced when we called them on their bullshit bill. All in all; TERRIBLEFOODANDTERRIBLESERVICE! I recommend that everyone in the area avoids this place like they have the plague(which they may because we both ended up sick to our stomachs all night). You’re welcome in advance.

When I moved to Pueblo, I wasn’t a fan of Mexican food or margaritas, but after Jorge’s, it’s all I crave! The best margaritas I’ve ever had, fresh chips, awesome salsa. What makes this place so special is the employees-It’s family run and an awesome atmosphere. We take all of our out-of-town guests here. The Roberto’s Burrito, the Taco Salad, and the Fajitas are delicious. The combination fajitas are a bit pricy, but it is a ton of food-They don’t skimp on the shrimp like the chain places, either! I totally don’t understand the bad reviews-I’ve eaten here at least once a month for three years, and I have not had a single bad experience. Oh their nachos are amazing, too!

Service was really bad and wasn’t even busy, had the nacho plate was tasteless, served with side of pico not enough for 1 person. Asked for salsa which had almost no flavor, place in need of updating. Won’t even consider going back.

Jorge’s has the best Pueblo style Mexican food in Pueblo. It tastes like what people cook at home here. If you want to taste authentic Pueblo style Mexican food, then this is your place. If you want food that tastes like it came from New Mexico,(totally different styles by the way) then drive 4 hours South. I honestly cannot believe some people gave lower ratings because Jorge’s didn’t taste like«authentic New Mexican style Mexican food». Well, duh. It is also different than food you would find in Mexico. We serve green chile gravy with pork in it and smother burritos, hamburgers, enchiladas, and more with it. Even Denver’s green chile tries to be like Pueblo’s and fails. If you like margaritas, Jorge’s are the best. If you like chips and salsa, tacos on fried flour tortillas, Pueblo style green chile, giant smothered burritos, and flautas, look no further than Jorge’s.

We couldn’t wait to try the food here. The front desk staff at the Courtyard swore this was the best New Mexico food in Pueblo. This was the pinnacle, they told us. If it is there is no real, authentic New Mexico food in Pueblo, period. While the service was fair this is some of the most bland, tasteless New Mexican food we’ve had. And, we’ve eaten at dozens of true New Mexican restaurants throughout New Mexico to use as barometers. The best part of our meals was the bottled beer, soft drinks and water at this obviously locals only spot. Many locals do love this place, but I’m guessing they haven’t had good New Mexican food, either, or this place wouldn’t still be in business. The chips, salsa and guacamole is fair. Actually, the guac isn’t bad, but the salsas need work. They resemble the tasteless stuff you’d get at a grocery store, rather than homemade restaurant salsa. We had similar feelings with the bowl of pozole. The meat inside was tender, but the broth lacked any flavor. The only thing we could taste was salt. We ordered three stuffed sopapillas, two chicken and one beef. The green chili topping was tasteless and the sopapilla wasn’t cooked enough. In fact, when the waitress took my plate(and saw that I barely ate any of it) she came back and mentioned that she’d take 50 percent off because she noticed they didn’t cook it enough and she wouldn’t have eaten it either. The chicken was bland and the beef version was no different than Taco Bell. Very disappointing. The worst part of the meal was dessert. While the honey tasted great the sopapillas were terrible. Yes, that bad. They were the thickest I’ve ever seen, undercooked and it only took a single small bite to know that was the only bite we needed. Brutal.

Came here with my family for the 1st time and everything was delicious. My mom and dad used to come here all the time when we lived here. I had the Jorges burritos and it was very filling. The staff here were very friendly and on top of refilling our drinks. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely come back.
