David’s Happy Nails

Disappointed. Went in for a pedicure and I had three different people working on my pedi so it took over an hour. Was hoping to have a place to go for a regular place to have my pedicure done.

We were in Maui on vacation and wanted to stop and get a quick mani/​pedi. The salon was clean, they took us in after a very short wait and were courteous and efficient. Gave a very nice foot/​leg massage. All for about half the price at the hotel spa. Would definitely recommend it.

Needed my nails filled for a party. Went there with acrylic nails that’s been on for 6 weeks from my usual person.. No chips or cracks. Just needed fills. David himself said you got strong nails. As the subject came up as to where I do my nails usually… David’s remark was he just started his own business. (my nail tech) I didn’t say a word. I left. Nail’s looked nice.
I woke up next morning. Noticed a chip on one nail. So I filed it. Just that nail. As day went by nails began to feel rough. Mind you. I paid extra for gel so color wouldn’t peel. The next day. Nails started to crack. So I went back. David looked at my nails. His reply.” That’s just the tips” I said No its all the nails. He said forget it I’ll just give you your money back. I tried to explain to him what I meant… He wouldn’t hear it. He said” go back to your usual place… we already know…”. I looked at him and said I will! And left.
I’d never go back there again! He was rude. Service was OK. But his nail job was horrible… No stars from me. I had to press a star for rating… But no star intended.

The service here is always so, so. The last time I went, after they started my pedi, I asked a bunch of questions about different services & the girl kept telling me she didn’t know, like she didn’t work there. They had no menu other then what’s in the front of the store. I also find they don’t spend too much time on filing during the manicure, it’s very rushed, so if you don’t double check, it your nails come out crooked. Lastly, there is a dog that hangs out there all day, he jumped in the chair next to us & farted… it was gross. I said something, both girls just kept there heads down & ignored us. I mean, at least have some room spray or give him his own chair to sit in! :P

Got a gel FILL that turned out to be $ 45 which when I looked at their price menu it should of came out to 36 $. I got a little «tribal» design which wen I showed him the picture he didn’t do it. Basically just drew a bunch of lines on my nail… told me they didn’t have time for designs for people. Are yu kidding me? Yu don’t have time for yur customers? Okay. when I walked in they said they don’t do designs. I only got my nails done there in an act of desperation. The shape looks good, that’s about it. They don’t have really a lot of gel colors. Point is I’ve paid less and gotten more at other places. The only thing there good at is pedicures. But if yu want a cool design go elsewhere

Nice work:-) we got mani– pedi done and it was perfect. Got there early so we spent more than an hour sitting in the comfy massage chairs when our feet had scrub and amazing foot massage. Loving it… The place is always clean and everybody is friendly. Small town kind. ;-) will be back soon.

I am a regular at Davids Happy Nails Pukalani, I think they are great, clean and the polish lasts.

Went to get my nails done with a couple friends since we already upcountry. I got gel nails which looked nice when I left but later the same day the gel started to peel off !! I didn’t do anything that would have made it peel off, especially not in one day. Not very happy and don’t know what to do with one whole nail missing nail polish. Plus it was $ 40 which is more than I would like to pay for a manicure. Would not go again and would not recommend.

David’s Rip Off Nails. Sign says full set of acrylics is $ 34. When asked what color I asked for glitter on the tips only. Nail tech did a good job. When I went to pay the girl at the desk said my bill was $ 58!!! When I asked why she said «Glitter». So… Glitter there is made out of precious metal and costs $ 24 dollars. TOTAL RIP OFF! I was NOT told anything while having my nails done except that a full set was $ 34. I feel like I have been lied to and stolen from.

expensive and definitely not worth the value of the services provided! not worth a tip even. continually spoke their language to one another laughing — that is so rude and annoying, maybe can put up with if it’s a good deal. would never go back.

They did an excellent job on my nails. Open and new space. Reasonable prices. My new favorite nail salon on the island.

Yes, I’m a man who gets pedicures.
My mom and I spotted this place while we were shopping at Foodland. We made an appointment the next day and they were able to accommodate us within a few hours. The facility was very clean and the staff was quite friendly. My mom and I were both very impressed with the time and effort spent on cutting and cleaning my nails. I’ve never had a better clipping. We will definitely be back when next we visit.
