Chang Hua Chinese Restaurant

You just have to try the garlic chicken!!! Easily the best Chinese dish from any restaurant that I have ever been to in my 56 years. I can’t express how good it is! My hat is off to them.

First of all, thank you, local Unilocalers! We were on a road trip to NYC when it came time or lunch near Pulaski, VA. I pulled up Unilocal and looked for a restaurant. This one had a few good reviews so we chanced it.
I am very glad that we did. It’s a bit off the Interstate, but worth the trip. It’s a typical strip mall Chinese takeout restaurant, with a few tables for a quick meal. What distinguishes it is the food. It was well prepared and plentiful. We ordered from the lunch menu. My wife had fried shrimp; I ordered the sesame chicken. Each was served with soup. The wonton soup was full of wontons, in a nice broth. The egg drop soup was a bit thick, but tasty. The shrimp were fried perfectly, crisp but not crunchy. The sesame chicken was served in a well-​made sauce.
The only negative element was the «fried» rice. It simply wasn’t fried at all, but a yellow-​colored white rice with nothing added. Entirely forgettable but given the quality and quantity of both entrees, also entirely forgivable.

Best Chinese food in the area! I have ordered many things special (due to allergies) and never had a problem. No MSG? No problem! No sesame seeds? No problem! No soy sauce? No problem! And on, and on…
M husband’s favorite is the sesame chicken. It is moist, delicious and the best we have had. I love the steamed chicken with veggies (diet menu), and their crispy spring rolls.
You can’t beat the price — less than $ 24 for both of us, including the rice and appetizers (crab rangoon). Don’t forget the chopsticks!
